My husband and I spent a wonderful Valentine's weekend at Jolie American Bistro, and it was so incredible that we ended up dining there two nights in a row! We kicked things off with the Bruschetta, which was phenomenal. The Focaccia it was served with was truly out of this world--soft, airy, and paired perfectly with the bruschetta and vinaigrette. I sampled both sides of the menu, opting for a pasta on night one and pizza on night two. Both were delicious and well-executed, proving that you really can't go wrong with their main courses. The showstopper for je though was the desserts. Crème Brûlée was perfectly executed with a classic finish.but the Basque Cheesecake was the star of the entire weekend. It was incredibly creamy and smooth--hands down the best Basque cheesecake I have ever had. On top of the delicious food, service was excellent too and a wonderful environment. Jolie American Bistro has quickly become a new favorite. I have been twice now and can already say it is my go-to spot for pizza. The pizza is absolutely amazing, perfectly balanced and full of flavor. As I like to say, I do not normally order dessert, but here it is impossible to resist. We have tried the lemon cake, the Spanish basque cheesecake, and the tiramisu pudding. WOW, each one has been outstanding. On my last visit I also enjoyed a pasta special that was exceptional, and the orange wine paired with it made the evening even more memorable. The team that brought Miami Beach a modern Italian eatery that soon became the locals' "go-to" spot 15 years ago, owners George and Traci, recreated their gastronomical magic with Jolie American Bistro in Palm Bay, FL. I was warmly greeted and seated upon entry, and before too long, I was approached by my server, Kristine. Kristine knows what to do and does it kicking butt. She has consistently been in the BBDO Top 5 Service Pros over the years. I asked Kristine for an order of their Burrata Tomato appetizer, a Butcher's Meatball appetizer and one Bistro Steak Frites, which consisted of a New York Strip (medium-rare), French Fries, Montelier Butter and House-made steak sauce. My ace of a server, Kristine, was back with my order in no time. I took a few pics and got right to work. I began today's raid on Jolie American Bistro's menu with a bite of their Burrata Tomato appetizer. If you zero in on the picture, you can see the slime coating the exterior of the cheese. I'm no expert on cheese, but I don't think that is supposed to be there on fresh mozzarella. In addition to the slimy mozzarella, the namesake of this appetizer were about as ripe as Minnesota Sweet Corn on the 4th of July, which is to say, not at all. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, my palate began to try to decipher the seasonings. Surprisingly, it was short work as there were none. Yep, that's right--zero seasoning. We are off to an inauspicious start. Moving on to the Butcher's Meatball appetizer. This was at least two steps above average. The meatballs were handmade and infused with fresh Rosemary. The sauce was also made in the back and hit my taste buds with the complexity and danger of the Goodfellas' prison red sauce. Magnifico! The bread is fresh, well-baked and clearly the star of this show. The bread and meatballs, like Underdog, saved the day. Moving on from the Butcher's Meatball appetizer was one of the more difficult things I have had to do lately. Still, I forced myself to the last item on today's Italian-American influenced food journey, the Bistro Steak Frites. After one bite, I had to concede that it was hard to get mad at this offering of cooked Bovine flesh. It's steak en Papillote. The Strip was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and exceedingly well seasoned. The house-made steak sauce was fresh, tasty and added nicely to the overall flavor of this dish. I never discuss price, but I feel I would be remiss if I didn't say that this is a decently priced steak for what you receive. Our server Heather was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, willing to make the guest experience what it should be when you dine out. We had focaccia bread and meatballs for appetizers. I could have eaten both by myself, they were so delicious. We also ordered the cedar salmon, crispy shrimp Po-Boy with fries, pesto chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and the Mount Vesuvio pizza. Everything was amazing and very fresh. From the moment we walked in, this place felt warm and welcoming. What an amazing place! We started with the burrata and tomato salad with focaccia bread on the side. Excellent. There were three of us and we each had something different. Pasta Alla, Genovese, pork Milanese, and cedar plank salmon. Each dish was beautifully presented and had absolutely amazing flavor. I felt like I was sitting in a high-end restaurant on South Beach. This place really ups the game for Palm Bay. I highly recommend it. Currently they have beer and wine only but he is working on getting his liquor license for a full bar. They also are having special events with different themes. As before it was DELICIOUS!!! Today my waiter was Cody, he was sweet, kind and professional. I wish I lived closer to this newly opened place. I live in Vero Beach, but I still make the drive because it's worth it. Marco, the main Chef is a well world traveled person who knows what he's doing in the kitchen. Everything he has made so far each time has been DELICIOUS and well plated. I love this place! I hope people in this area can appreciate GOOD food, as I do. A new gem in Palm Bay, Fl on US Hwy 1. Tons of free parking with easy access to Hwy 1. Twice I've had the salmon on roasted potatoes, and spinach on a hot slate, great presentation. We went back for Dinner. The food were good as we expected except a couple of items: 1. We ordered Wagu burger and a shrimp pasta for apps and the burger was so bland. The chef may have forgotten to spice the burger totally. 2. they have a pizza of the day. we ordered that and the fungi and were told they no longer have enough ingredient for the special one. We were there at 5:30pm. Anyhow we chose another pizza and it was also good. Overall, it was a good experience. OMG! This was so amazing. This was our first time here and it definitely will make the list of favorites!! We had the Truffle and Fungi pizza and the Butcher's Meatballs. I wanted to lick the bowl. It was so delicious. The service was friendly and helpful since this was our first time here. The atmosphere was upbeat and had me smiling and feeling real good as soon as we set down!!! I chose this place based upon location and the reviews in Yelp for a family gathering. We had reservations for lunch at 12 pm. We had ordered 2 Apps for the table for which we ended up only having 1 as there was not all ingredients for one of the Apps. We did have the meatballs which were very tasty and one of the highlights of the experience. Someone order the chicken pesto sandwich but the chicken was dry and the overall flavor was under seasoned. On the positive side the presentation was spot on and the portion size large. The fish and chips was ordered by two at the table. One thought the fish might have been frozen and not fresh secondary to the mushy texture. The spicy sausage sandwich was very much enjoyed. The dinner's head was sweating from the spiciness. I ordered a pizza and the flavor was excellent but the crust was undercooked on the bottom. French fries were enjoyed by all. The service was friendly and attentive but the food came out of the kitchen slowly. I do wonder if the pizza oven was not up to temperature prior to opening which might explain the bottom of the pizza not being crisp. First time we tried Jolie American Bistro and it was fantastic. We had 3 adults and 2 children, every plate was delicious! The pizzas had the perfect crust and fresh toppings. I had the meatballs with the whipped ricotta on focaccia and loved every bite. The chipolte chicken sandwich had such fresh defined flavors. The sweet potato fries were super crisp, hot and flavorful. Both kids meals were more than enough for my pre-teen grands. We had quite a wait for the food but once we tasted it, we realized it takes time to get that level of quality food. The wait was the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Don't let the casual outside fool you, the interior is quiet, modern decor with a view to the impressive pizza oven in the kitchen. I would definitely recommend Jolie's American Bistro. read more

New restaurant in palm bay over by us1 , just south of Port Malabar. George is the owner, has a location down in Mami and liked the Brevard county vibe. Pizza place and more. Actually my spouse and I did not have pizza. Saving that for next visit. We started with a bottle italian red. An order of Gambas al Ajilo - A spicy sautéed shrimp, with garlic, EVOO, Aleppo chili, and focaccia. The bread was just yummy. Light and fluffy. Then we share a bistro salad, fennel, arugula, tomato, mixed field greens, with a very pleasant house vinaigrette. My spouse had the cedar plank salmon with Yukon potatoes and spinach with a rustic chard tomato sauce. The salmon was wonderfully flakes perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the Argentinian grill. A skirt steak sliced with the tenderness of a filet. Slight kick from the chorizo, with a grilled onion salad , and a huge cup of fries. Finished with a coconut cake and a couple of cappuccino 's. Fantastic meal, and the ticket for the evening with wine was surprisingly low. Fantastic atmosphere, and if your lucky George will come by and say hi. The outside patio is still empty of furniture on this first week of being open, and a few hiccups in service, but all in all very enjoyable and tasty experience. My wife and I decided to try this new restaurant for my birthday and we're happy we did. I made reservations and our server, Sammi seated us right away. Wine selection was priced decent and I selected the Bonanza Cabernet. Excellent choice as we both enjoyed! Started with splitting the Caesar salad. Fresh and delicious with a nice dressing. My wife had the Bistro steak frites and I had the Argentinian grill . The steaks were amazing although they were more medium rare instead of rare. My wife said the fries were the best she's ever had! I would give it 6 stars if I could. Greeted promptly. We were 1/2 hour early for our reservation and still were seated within 10 minutes. Waitress was among the best I have ever had! Limited menu is chock full of terrific small plate, salad and entree selections. Daughter had the Margherita pizza and said it was perfect. I ordered a side salad and it was HUGE!!! Son and I had the steak/chorizo/chicken combo and everything was cooked to our satisfaction. Bread was made there it was fresh. Nice but small selection of beers (bottles only) and wines. Deserts not on menu but ask! I had the limoncello desert and it too was great. Owner stopped by and we chatted and then again, he greeted us as we were leaving and shook our hands. You must pay for everything from a salad to a piece of bread. There were 6 people working and for some only one person was taking orders. Even when we completed our meals none of the other 5 workers came by to pick up our plates. Decided to give the new Bistro a try and was delighted with almost everything. The fried calamari as an appetizer was outstanding. They were small, tender, and crispy served with deep fried sweet red peppers. The Cobb salad we shared was the best I've ever had , crispy greens served with fresh blue cheese and bacon crumbles as well as grape tomatoes and a boiled egg. We ordered a Margherita pizza to share. The ingredients(tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and dough) were all clearly a notch above what's commonly served in local pizzerias. The pizza was cooked in a wood fired oven which is also rare in Brevard. The only problem was the crust ended up being soft like cooked pasta instead of crispy. I think an adjustment by the cook is in order. otherwise, the meal was delightful. My only other observation is that $7 for a bottle of Yeungling beer is a bit overpriced. This Bistro has the potential to being one of the best in Palm Bay albeit quite noisy . Next time I'll try one of their pasta dishes with tartufo. read more
