    Seafood combo with baked potatoe
    Mike K.

In the middle of nowhere on a barrier island you'll find New England Seafood where you'll park your car in an unpaved sand parking lot in front of a stand alone weathered structure with all the charm of a New England Seafood restaurant. After being greeted by a hostess you have the option of dining outside on what could be imagined as a beach deck or boardwalk or inside where AC keeps you comfortable. We chose to sit inside what was a really large clean dining room decorated for Christmas with colored lights and colorful decorations which may have altered the look of the pictures I'm posting. Our server Veronica was efficient, polite and knowledgeable on menu items. We started our meal with New England clam chowder and conch fritters. The chowder was tasty and creamy with the right amount of sweet clams and potatoes. The conch fritters were cooked well not greasy with lots of what I hope was conch, it was served with a delicious horseradish sauce. Our mains consisted of a fried clam and shrimp combo with loaded baked potato and garden salad all enjoyable. Not to be missed was the shrimp served Nantucket style, a sauce of butter wine and garlic. After dining here I can see why it's been a local favorite for decades.

Maine style "roll" terribly small everything just fell apart

Fast to take order and cane out in a reasonable manner. However I have to say the roll was incredibly small everything just fall apart when picked up. It was very good otherwise.

We had an incredible time here for lunch with friends! The Connecticut Lobster Roll was so delicious. A good price for such quality fare. I needed coffee, and Brandon our server brewed me fresh strong coffee. It was amazing! Such wonderful service with great care and attention. The Boston Cream Pie they have is also notable and I will get it again! The atmosphere is happy and very pretty, it's a pleasure and difficult to leave. Five Stars.

Always have a great experience at the New England Eatery and Pub. Brings back memories being able to have the Jordans red hot dogs and some clam chowda Service is always excellent!

Service is on point, food was amazing. A touch expensive but not suprised as it's truly New England seafood found in Fla. Was not disappointed at all. Will definitely come back again.

I'm from Connecticut in the area for vacation. My wife and I had New England clam chowder, lobster rolls and clam strips. Might have been even better than what we get back home. Excellent food. Very fresh. Awesome service! Joy was our sever.

This was our 1at time here. We came for the clam belly's . We started with the conch fritters and lobster bisque. My husband had the fried fish dinner and I had the clam bellies. The breading was light which for me is perfect. The soup was piping hot and although the flavor was ok, I probably won't order again. Overall everything tasted good especially the clam bellies. Total win! The onion rings were a bit greasy but still flavorful. Everything very fresh! This restaurant was a bit of a hike for us but we'll probably return.

Had an awesome first experience at New England Eatery. Authentic New England style restaurant that reminded me of old Cape Cod & north shore eateries. Great red, white & blue Americana ambience & your standard seafood offerings. I enjoyed a Combo of fried whole belly clams!! Along with fried scallops and 2 sides which were, of course, cold slaw and baked beans. I also shared an order of sweet potato fries with my dining companion. The meal was served promptly and Hot! The fried clams were tender & sweet with just enough light & crispy batter. The scallops were a good size and perfectly cooked. The Cole slaw was good - not too much mayo and the baked beans were very flavorful. The sweet potato fries were very good and we couldn't finish the large size portion. We both finished our meal since it was so delicious and we were full and very happy. I cannot wait to return to this restaurant.

We ordered Shepherds Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage and Chocolate Cake. The Shepherds Pie tasted like it was made with Heinz Boullion Powder. The Corned Beef and Cabbage had no seasoning whatsoever, tasted like it was just boiled in plain water. The Chocolate cake looked beautiful, all drizzled with white chocolate and rasberry sauce. The drizzles were the best part. The cake tasted like the refrigerator smells. I hope we got it on a bad night but I suspect its not worth going for food again. We'll stick with the Guiness and Irish Whiskey next time.

Decent beach bar, but a little too kid-friendly for my taste…read more I came here hoping for dinner on the water, good music, the sound of the ocean, and maybe some friendly conversation with the locals. Instead, one of the main seating areas was partially taken over by strollers, toys, and other kid gear. I understand that restaurants can't control every family that visits, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a playground than a relaxing waterfront dining spot. To the staff's credit, my server was kind enough to move some of the strollers and toys so I could get a seat. Unfortunately, it had just rained and the chairs were still soaked. While I appreciated her making room for me, it would have been nice if someone had also taken a moment to wipe down the seat before it was offered to me. Instead, I had the unpleasant experience of sitting in a sopping wet chair and spent my evening here with a soggy backside, which definitely put a damper on the experience... Pun intended. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good, although I was a little surprised to receive it in a plastic cup. Maybe that's standard here, but it wasn't what I expected. For dinner, I tried the mahi tacos after seeing them mentioned in several reviews. The fish itself was good, but the tacos were absolutely covered in sauce, to the point that it drowned out the taste of everything else. Also, thatsynot what they looked like on the reviews I saw. If I knew they would have so much sauce (or any sauce actually) I would ordered it on the side. I ended up removing most of the sauce-drenched toppings just to taste the fish. I also requested a side salad and was told the only option available for a side salad was a Caesar... despite several salads being listed on the menu. I guess it was too hard to toss some salad greens into a bowl with a side if vinaigrette The parking situation is also very confusing. All the spaces indicate that parking is for guests and there is signage along the fence threatening to tow anyone who parks along the fence. I had to call the restaurant to confirm where guests could park (along the fence, as long as it is not overnight or just to go to the beach) and fortunately my car was still there when I returned from dinner. Overall, the food was decent and the waterfront location is nice. If you're looking for a casual, family-friendly beach bar, this may be a fit. However, if you're hoping for a quieter place to unwind after work or enjoy a peaceful dinner by the water, you definitely want to look elsewhere.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Melbourne Main Street a.k.a. Historic Downtown Melbourne is a definite "go-to" location when it comes to mom n' pop eateries ranging from casual to fine dining. Why many of my five-star reviewed restaurants are in this stretch of historic Melbourne, FL. If there is one restaurant I'd say has the "most" magnificent views of Indian River, Melbourne Main Street, and even Golden Hours of the horizons, then it is definitely The Landing Rooftop (which I will shorthand simply to Landing for the remainder of this review). Though an address is provided, The Landing - as per its full nomenclature - is located on a rooftop, specifically the rooftop of Hilton's Hotel Melby. The free parking for the garage floors for the HIlton are limited, so if you can't get a spot, there is a free parking garage just north of Hotel Melby next to the City Hall. To get to The Landing, you have to enter the lobby of Hotel Melby and take the elevator up to the 11th floor, which is the floor dedicated to the restaurant. Don't worry, the staff won't say anything and they'll usually let you go as they know about the patron traffic to the restaurant. The Landing is a beautifully-designed restaurant with Hilton's signature modern classic designs of bright tans and white lights. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but I suggest indoor seating during high sun hours and outdoor seating during golden hour times and nighttime dining. As mentioned earlier, the views are magnificent for Indian River and Melbourne. I've eaten multiple times here at The Landing, but my lastest visit was an impromptu "date" with my friend Damaris, simply because she has never been here before, and I was giving her the grand tour of Melbourne Main Street. We sat outside in the shaded overhang, but got to walk around taking pictures of the views from all four sides. We should have sat in the cocoon hanging chairs, but we didn't know when we'd get our food and drinks. Starting with the drinks, we got a couple of mocktails, the Lemon Bay Breeze and the Strawberry Sunset. Details of both drinks and prices are in the pictures. As for food, we both split their charcuterie board appetizer, which I say is quite amazing, but definitely needs more bread and crackers. It consisted of many kinds of meats, cheeses, jams, olives, nuts, and fruits. Everything was so delicious, but we had to start using the cheese and meat slices as the "bread." We also got two desserts to share, the classic key lime pie and I assume the pistachio olive oil cake. Both were delicious and details, including price, are captioned in their pics. And on a side note, the restrooms are clean and stocked as they are up to the standard of a Hilton. And apparently, The Landing is one of those restaurants that are behind the times on payment. They initially takes tap payments with cards, but not NCT on phones. Their system does not like protective virtual cards, which is a major negative in my honest opinion, given the fact their food is a bit pricey compared to the rest of the restaurants in Melbourne Main Street. Ultimately, I am going to give The Landing three-out-of-five stars for their review. And the reason why I am giving it this kind of rating is a comparison to other Hilton restaurants I have been to. Kinda like Hotel Melby itself, this restaurant is kinda under the average of the Hilton standard. Not bad, but I have had better at other Hilton hotels and resorts. Only standout are the views around and about the restaurant, and that is a farcry because we are talking about Melbourne and Indian River. But I will stress this is one of the best places to dine while watching a rocket launch out of Cape Canaveral.

I really just went for the insutution of bacon wrapped dates supervised by my wife and is girlfriend (two different people). The Medjool dates with millionaire bacon and goat cheese and I am not exaggerating when I say this dish could solve international conflicts. Sweet pineapple, salty bacon, creamy goat cheese, and a drizzle of what tasted like the chef whispering sweet nothings the way I'm romantic. I was going to order a second dose for "research purposes." Truffle Honey Chicken Tenders (Not Your Childhood Lunchbox) is the most misleading name ever because "tenders" sounds like something you eat in a drive thru parking lot (I'd pick Bojangles of course). These were crispy, sticky, sweet, slightly spicy, and basically the PhD version of chicken fingers a bit dry but the sauce make it good. Brussels sprouts usually remind people of childhood trauma. These charred brussels sprouts with honey, soy, ginger, and peanuts tasted like the chef personally apologized to every person who had ever been forced to eat boiled vegetables in 1987. Smoky, sticky, crunchy, slightly sweet. I would willingly eat vegetables here again, which is a sentence I never thought I would say out loud! We build a strategy to devide an conquer in a unique waiter (I hate the name server, it sounds like tennis) recommendation that was impressive! My brother ordered the heritage pork chop, which looked like it had been bench pressing in the kitchen before arriving at the table. Perfect crust, juicy inside, sitting on sweet potato hash with a slaw piled on top like a fashionable hat and I went with the snapper catch of th day for a surf and turf combo! I considered banging on the door at 3 am for another dose of pork chop like I was in college and wanted the party to go on My brother was impressed with the Blackbird Arise that showed up like it owned the table. He said it was smooth, bold, and dangerous because it makes you start considering dessert when you absolutely do not need dessert. I don't drink so I take his word for it. The women weren't behaving so thy split a smash burger and truffle fries, which means our ordering strategy was clearly "yes." The burger had that glossy brioche bun that looks like it was polished before serving, and the fries were exactly the kind that disappear before you realize you have eaten most of them. A smash burger is supposed to drip greese down your arm and this didn't. This strategy ensured my spot on the couch for bedtime. If you go, order two doses of the dates so you don't have to bring a date.
