So if y'all want a plan - go eat pizza at Blaze Pizza and then go right next-door to Duck Donuts. You know how after pizza you want something sweet - Duck Donuts!!!!! Man, oh man! I love Duck Donuts! I happen to be in the Daytona area celebrating a friend's birthday…read moreand I got the sweet opportunity to go get a 6-pack of Duck Donuts before heading back home to Orlando. I had only been to Duck Donuts once before, and boy was it memorable! These donuts are absolute perfect. They taste and have the consistency of the inside of a perfect funnel cake, and they are made fresh to order. So every order of donuts is fresh and hot. Of course, great quality and fresh donuts take a little time - so you might have to wait a little for your donuts since they're coming right out of the oven. I did a little research before I went into the store. I read online that I needed to try the French toast donuts, and the Boardwalk. I also got a glazed doughnut , a doughnut with chocolate and sprinkles, and a doughnut topped with fruity pebbles. All of them were super delicious. As expected, the favorites were the French toast and the Boardwalk. The service here is superb. Everyone is so nice, and super helpful. The cashier was very patient with me as I took forever to make my choices. But luckily there was no one else waiting behind me when I was there. Parking is plentiful. This place is a must - try! If you haven't gone to duck donuts and you live in or around Daytona, I have no idea what you are waiting for! I most definitely recommend everyone take a trip over to Duck Donuts!

We love to try new things, German/ Polish food on the beach was certainly new…read more We walked in and were greeted and seated immediatley. The server explained she was training a new person. This was his first night and was equally as good as the primary server, except he had to get help on a few questions we had that related to how to use certain sauces etc. And he got the help very quickly. We started with the pork belly. Fried crispy on the outside and still tender on the inside. It was served with what looked like marinara, but it had an amazing spice mixture in it. Spices as in seasoning, not heat. The best pork belly I have ever had, I could eat just this, and if I were alone it would be enough. We had a cup of hunters soup and polish mushroom soup. Both were very good. I would skip those next time to save room for other things, but only because I would rather eat other things. There were enough tables to seat quite a few people without overcrowding anyone. As a main course we decided to split the polish sampler. 2 potato pancakes, 2 cabbage rolls, 8 perogies and a polish sausage. We didn't know how big the sausage would be so we ordered a side, we did not need it. There was so much food, we did not finish it all and my wife had some for lunch the next day, and still there was leftovers. The place is hidden in a 3 story shopping center, but well worth looking for.

What a fun find! I was in town for a career fair and my friend said I should check this place out…read more It's in a bit of a weird spot in a mostly chain restaurant shopping area, but don't let that fool you! It was literally steps to the beach so that was nice to stroll out there before/after. After poking around some shops, I made my way upstairs to Dill! The place is cute and colorful! Loved the European decor! I was there on a Tuesday night and there were only 2 other tables sat so pretty dead at the time. Server was lovely, cheerful, and helpful! They don't have a full bar but do serve beer and wine so was able to get a glass of vino. I really wanted schnitzel and pierogies but unfortunately you can only get the pierogies by the dozen (unless you get the big combo meal which comes with 6 rogis and a shit ton of other food). Problem was, I had a 6am flight the next morning so no way I would be able to eat any leftovers. I asked if there was ANY way I could just get like 2 rogis and she unfortunately said no (I totally get it, but maybe add smaller options in the future!). So I went with a cup of borscht soup and the pork schnitzel. The soup was served hot (I've only ever had it cold) and was very good! The schnitzel was legit the biggest schnitzel I've ever seen in my life and it's a GOOD THING I didn't get rogis in addition to it lol. I immediately cut it in half and was only able to eat that much. I got the mushroom sauce too and that was so yummy with the schnitzel! The potatoes and slaw were very good too, loved how refreshing the slaw was!! You would never think to look for this kind of food in Daytona of all places, but it's definitely worth a stop! If I had anyone dining with me, I could see getting a few dishes to split because of how large the schnitzel was. Wonderful place with great service and delicious food, just wish I was able to try those rogis!

The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. It's tough to keep staff these days, and like any regular place I go to, I do see new faces. But old ones too. All of my interactions have always been wonderful. It's why I come back. And it's still an affordable spot and, MOST IMPORTANTLY dog friendly and welcoming.
