One of my all time favorite burgers is Buon Cibo's BBQ Burger. The restaurant is typically pretty busy. You order at the counter and they bring your food out. It is on the pricier side. If they have cheddar beer soup when you go, I recommend trying it! read more

Ummmmm, just okay. Cute place. Fun interior. But the food was lacking. Not bad but certainly not fabulous. I got the adult grilled cheese with pasta salad. Meh. Both were very verrry bland. The pasta salad was dry and needed more flavor. The adult grilled cheese appeared to be (and tasted like) a panini rather than grilled. It was dry and tasteless. It needed that grilled butteriness. Came in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Menu has a good selection of salads, sandwiches, and pizza. I liked how the pizzas were all named after cities in Mississippi. Ordering was smooth and painless, the staff was friendly and efficient. One of us had the cheeseburger and fries, one had the grown up grilled cheese and pasta salad, and I had the Cuban and pasta salad. All the food was fine, nothing really special especially for what was being charged (grown up grilled cheese 11.50, Cuban 13, cheeseburger 15). Pasta salad was okay, I don't think they used Duke's mayonnaise in it. Kind of bland. Cuban was fine, the yellow mustard wasn't "zippy" enough for me and the roast pork didn't seem to have been marinated or seasoned. Grown up grilled cheese was cheese on a toasted ciabatta bun, it seemed more of a panini style sandwich - complete with grill press lines. But most notably it had no butter on the bread, which to me is what makes a grilled cheese, well, grilled cheese. Like I said it was more of a cheese panini. Which is totally fine but dude just call it a panini and not grilled cheese. I'm pretty sure the cheeseburger was tasty judging by how quickly my son scarfed it down and it was not a small burger. And the French fries were very good!! Crispy outside soft inside and truly very well seasoned. See, I can give credit where credit is due. This was going to be a 4 until I used the restroom after eating to wash up, I'm taking away a star for the bathroom. One of the soap dispensers had fallen off the wall and was inop, the towel dispenser was out of ammo, there was a was a big roll of paper towel sitting on the counter for everyone to just grab with the wet hands and sitting in dripped water on the counter, and there was a wadded up paper towel in one of the sinks and behind the other sink. The restaurant's vibe is very nice with a modern aesthetic and art on the wall for purchase. The menu is posted on the right hand wall as you walk in, and predominately consists of sandwiches, salads and pizza, which you order at the counter. I received a friendly greeting immediately by the cashier, and was able to order (turkey and brie sandwich with side of fresh fruit) quickly. The cost was a bit high for a sandwich and drink, but I assumed it would be worth it. After ordering, I sat myself and waited for my name to be called. I noticed a table beside me had been there a while and still hadn't received their food, which worried me. Their food came. Other tables begin filling up around me and their orders were brought to them. I still didn't have mine, so I went to the counter. They had my ticket and said they'd bring it out. I suspect my sandwich was forgotten about in the toaster oven. It did come quickly but was crispy (hard) and over toasted when it got to me. Moreover, it was devoid of any flavor. The fruit salad was pineapple and cantaloupe only--fortunately I like both of those very much. Overall, it was overpriced for slow service and mediocre food; I likely won't return. read more

Went to this place one evening with friends that recommended it. Ordered beer cheese soup and pear and Brie sandwich, all of us ordered the beer cheese soup as well as different sandwiches. Sadly after sitting down our server had to tell us they were out of the soup, but offered a substitute or a refund. The sandwiches were delicious, the club sandwich was huge and the salad I got as a sub for the soup was fresh and delicious. We've been back a few times over the years and I swear, this place somehow just keeps getting better. The staff is also very friendly. The restaurant features a chalkboard for the kids to draw at. Buon Cibo is awesome! I have been two times in the past two weeks, and I would say it is one of my new favorite places for lunch! It's fresh and quick! I would recommend the pizza as well as salad. There also is a lot of seating and the servers are super friendly and kind. The prices are also very reasonable and has a very similar feel to Newk's or MacAlister's. Will be coming back soon! never left a review in my life but this ive had issues here before this time was horrible. I've been here a few times and it was alway hit or miss but this was a big miss. Yes, this is a $30 pizza that is absolutely mangled and it's wild the would serve this but that's not a big deal. The real problem was the hair in multiple items of food. Weird service. Good food once you are not held hostage waiting for your order. Pizza. A Cuban sandwich. A Ham and Cheese sandwich. So- we stopped here on a long drive south. The staff seemed Uber confused by the simplest order. We were told they don't serve fries with sandwiches. But then she offered we could get a bowl of fries. Weird. Asked about sweet potato fries- but she said they don't have them in the summer because they get too soggy?? They were out of burgers. 2of our group of 4 people ordered a pepperoni pizza. That held us hostage for about an hour. When your order - or any part of your order- is ready, they walk around the restaurant hollering out your name like attendance at an elementary school. They tried to convince my brother that he ordered a Rueben instead of a Cuban. I get it. They sound alike and would rhyme well in a country song about hungry hostages at a restaurant. But he did indeed order the Cuban and waited a few more minutes for his original order instead of the Rueben consolation sandwich. So the pizza seemed to really be a mental gymnastics order for the staff. They first said they made a mistake and had to remake it. Then after another 20 minutes we inquired again and they looked as confused as someone who thinks you don't serve fries with a sandwich. We ended up asking for a refund for the pizza and had to run through a drive thru for the 2 who ended up empty-stomached by buon cibo while they watched the other 2 of us eat some pretty decent sandwiches. The fries were also tasty. But 2 stars for the odd service and approach to ordering and serving food. read more

We just moved here, and tried this restaurant. We were underwhelmed. Cuban sandwich was dry and tasteless. Fruit salad was fresh. Hubby was not impressed with his hamburger...lots of toppings and presented nicely, but the flavor of the meat was nonexistent. French fries were excellent. I do not understand all the compliments on service. We didn't have any service, and yet they expect a tip. Pay your employees a decent wage. I normally have a great experience here but I ordered this 16" nesbit pizza and was very disappointed. Supposedly "loaded with meat" sausage, pepperoni, beef, bacon, ham, basil. It hardly had anything but cheese. I took it back for an explanation and the manager that made it said he "has been getting on them for adding too much toppings". For $30 this is a sad pie. We don't typically think of Buon Cibo for special dates, like Valentine's Day, so much as just everyday dining but my husband saw their menu advertised and really wanted to try the crab cakes, so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed!! Both the crab cakes that my husband had (along with its slaw) and the salmon (along with the potatoes) were delicious! And the chef came out to check on it, though we had nothing but compliments to give.
