The food was ok, highs and lows across the whole meal. Caprese salad was delicious, the in house dressing they put on it was amazing. I had the special for my main. Pasta was good, tasted fresh, but the food cooled off very, very quickly and there wasn't enough sauce on it. Had ok amount of flavor. The service was good, friendly and warm. Wine list was very, very small. For the price it was ok at best but I expected better given the decor in the restaurant. read more

Found it by Chance...Best Italian Food Ever. Small operation with one Fabulous server.lived in Boston , I'd say No End Quality . Tired of Touristy Cavendish and Fried Seafood etc , we were carving Italian . I was a bit scared , hardly any cars out front. Once you walk in, All you smell shear Italian Aromas. Love this place and highly recommend. Always a date night favourite for my hubby and I as well on numerous occasions we have brought our 6yr old daughter with us and they are always super welcoming. The hostess is amazing and constantly working her little tookas off but super nice and happy to help. If you do not try here you are seriously missing out! My favourite is the cardonara (pic attached) hubbys is the canollies but lots of wonderful delicious meals to choose from.. the starter bread is the the best I have ever had by the way. Do you ever go to a place with good online reviews? Then experience a complete letdown? Then not feel up to telling the staff or cook about your bad meal? That was our experience last night. I know to improve you must give feedback. But the garlic bread that tasted like it came from sobeys told us the chef gave up. I could see rows of dry clubhouse Seasonings on the shelves in kitchen like garlic seasoning vs using fresh that gave us an inkling of what was to come. I asked the server what I should get between chicken Parm & lasagna. She said whatever I thought I wanted. No passion, no urging to try one over the other. I chose the Parm. My last PEI honeymoon meal was not to be good. My wife chose the canneloni. She said it tasted like michelina frozen dinner. My side pasta was just ok. Not good not bad just ok. The first bite of the chicken was the tough membrane gristle that is sometimes left on a boneless breast. I didn't have any other bites with gristle other than the first two so it's my luck that was my first taste of my meal. The chicken was hard. Not sure what in the coming process would cause that. The sauce was just ok the cheese Meh. We ordered wine a half carafe of valpocella that had a thin taste. Almost tasted like nothing so weak other than a faint vinegar after taste. Yes we are foodies. Yes we both cook & eat out often. Yes e can both eat just average comfort food & find great enjoyment. We don't need high brow food. But this was like paying $80 bucks for michelina frozen dinner quality, weak wine we didn't finish & a sad end to our last night in Charlottetown heading back to Halifax 3 days into marriage. Ps the decor was something we were willing to look over. If the food was good. It was small, almost no air conditioning, huge fan going that couldn't adequately cool the place. Plain white walls & black tables. I've had food geniuses in poorly decorated rooms so I saw pictures that made the place look old & beaten up but was willing to ignore but it just matched the food. My new wife summed it up. I would've complained but the chef has given up. read more

I'm drooling just thinking about this place. I am also wondering why there is only one review prior to mine?! This place is fantastic. It is highly recommended to make reservations as it is a small place (about 30 seats). Service: Superb! The lady (I assume who is the owner) was very friendly and funny. The food was prepared in a timely manner (remember: everything is made on site, so don't be expecting fast food). Food: Oh dear god. Amazing. My husband and I had the special which was cannelloni stuffed with various cheese and chicken, served with a Caesar salad and garlic bread. For dessert, we had the cookie and home-made ice-cream. The place can be tricky to find, but it is well worth the search! Can't wait to be back on the Island to try another dish :) read more

Visiting PEI for a few days - hankering for Italian food. Made reservation for 6 of us. Tiny place with only 6 tables. Mon night saw few customers. We ordered a few bruschetta to start, followed by entrees. By the time food came, other table cleared out, so it was only our party. Yet the waitress forgot to put in our apps order. Also no eggplant. Pasta dishes were so-so. Nothing to write home about... PEI needs better restaurants! read more

Pretty tasty restaurant. I had the Fettuccine with Sausage and Chicken, and my wife had the (pretty basic) spaghetti with red meat sauce. Both dishes were very good, and a welcome reprieve from the seafood-saturated scene in Charlottetown. I overheard another group discussing that everything is made on site, including the pasta and sauces. The restaurant occupies a very tiny space across from a pizza place and next to a taxi company. Only about 8 tables, you'll probably wait on a busy night. Wait staff was attentive and courteous. read more

Came mid week on October on a rainy night and at around 630 so early. I was only one there. Food was very good...had the Carbonara and garlic fingers to start. Both were very good and happy with it. Not 5 stars just as it was so quiet but It worked for me as I wanted peace!! Also while it was drop dead amazing to earn 5 stars it was very good and I would be recommend and return! read more
