Creme Brûlée

Our waiter was patient and helpful. The inside was cozy and quiet. We ordered the PEI mussels to start as well as a cosmo. We have never had mussels before and these were excellent. I had Chianti and hubs had a Malbec with the ribeye. One of the best I have had. It was PEI beef. The mushrooms we added on were buttery and so tender. Fingerling potatoes also PEI were great. That added some broccolini which was a nice surprise. We finished with the creme brûlée and the chocolate peanut butter mouse. Fantastic. The top meal of our trip up the east coast.

sweet fresh oysters! Boiled lobster is delicious and halibut with lobster cream is to die for! Service is friendly, and the restaurant has a relaxing vibe. Overall enjoyable dinner!

One of my favorite meals while I was out here. Everything was scrumptious. I highly recommend if you're looking for a nicer dinner out. Service was excellent as well. Everyone was friendly and polite. Decor was dark, moody, and cozy.

I was quite disappointed in my lobster dinner in PEI. I am really not sure how this place has such high ratings...maybe I just hit them up on a bad night. Service at the bar was initially not super friendly, but being me, I made sure to strike up lots of conversation and then they appeared a little more attentive. I ordered the lobster and what I got was what appeared to be a lobster but the amount of meat in it was more like what a large crawfish would have... it was so strange... I showed the guys behind the bar - they totally agreed... So, as they should... they ordered another one, at no charge and it was just slightly better. I found it to be very weird to have miniature lobster meet in a full size lobster. It wasn't wasn't the best flavor I've had and PEI is supposed to be some of the best lobster around! I was definitely sad and cannot say it was worth me going through PEI... a skip for next time...

Our accommodation host highly recommended us this place for oysters, mussels and for their food in general, and it was worth it! Our server Josh was amazing and funny and he made us feel extremely welcome in the restaurant. Josh made all of our drinks, and he created the majority of the drinks on the cocktail menu except for a couple. My drink, the West of the Field, was extremely smooth especially for an Old Manhattan drink. We had to get their oysters and their steamed PEI mussels. The oysters were from three different regions of PEI and you could tell the difference between all three. The mussels were delicious and you could tell they were fresh just by how sweet they were and how they melted in your mouth. The broth they were steamed in was delicious as well. The main course arrived and I was blown away by their presentation. The Halibut was cooked to perfection and it melted in my mouth. The peach and lobster relish really complemented the Halibut. The medley of vegetables were delicious and full of flavour! Josh also recommended the sticky date pudding that was made of dates. The pudding was so warm and comforting and you can barely taste the dates, it tasted more like sticky toffee pudding! It was a fantastic evening and dinner and I strongly recommend coming here for their amazing service and meals. Be sure to book reservations in advance as tables can get booked quite quickly. You may be lucky if you can get seats at the bar like us.

As always found this place on Yelp w good reviews n Stopped by for dinner 2 nites ago while in Charlottetown PEI. Lovely clean restaurant w friendly welcoming staff. We had the the lobster aranchini and grilled corn arugula salad w oven dried tomatoes, wheat berries, dried corn and basil pesto dressing. Both were delicious n flavorful. For entrees we had the portobello Wellington, grilled halibut, beef strip loin and Claddagh surf and turf. The surf n turf was different w crispy pork belly that tasted so good. The portobello Wellington was very good n moist. The grilled halibut was moist and very tasty. The beef strip loin perfectly done n delicious. They all came w sides . I had the colcannin - Irish mash potatoes w cabbage. Yummy n I've never tasted it before.very flavorful. Baby reds w cheddar was good too and so was the dressed greens. And we topped it off w sticky toffee pudding n crème brûlée. That sticky toffee pudding was rich n heavenly. Yum yum yum. The crème brûlée was good too. Thank u Claddagh for a delicious dinner in Charlottetown PEI.

Ona recent trip to Prince Edward Islam, we had a reservation at Claddagh Oyster House. It is an intimate restaurant with excellent service and good. We started with the mussels and ended with the bread pudding. Everything was fresh, hot and so wonderful tasting. Make a reservation to experience this place. You will not be disappointed.

As this is Prince Edward Island (PEI), I had to order the super fresh oysters! Exceptional flavor, color, juice and you could tell these were only a few hours from being caught! They only needed a kiss of lemon and minimal if any Tabasco. Very tender and unique as these were from the St Lawrence River side NOT the Atlantic. If you're looking for a non- touristy place where the locals eat, this is one of those places! For cruisers- it's only 2 more blocks down from the cruise port!

Reservations are a must! Kaylee, our server, was kind and thorough when answering our questions…read more The seafood chowder did not have shrimp in it, so I was able to eat it. It was delicious. Chunks of crab mussels and clams - not just minced in. Very very good. The halibut was a bit dry on the ends, but ok in the middle. The carrots were good, as were the baked potatoes. The potato salad tasted like egg salad, but was tasty. The mussels were ok, though we have had better. The lobsters were as expected. Mine was a female and had the added bonus of roe in her. I didn't enjoy tearing it up, I'll get the roll next go. The coconut crème pie was good, no meringue, slathered in real cream whipped cream. If you are limited on time(cruising time limits) or can make reservations, they are kind courteous and hard working to get you served in a timely manner. It was a little bit warm inside, and the outside seating is on the sidewalk next to the road. It's a cute place with charm and a lot of happy people. I doubt I will return - it was good, but when having to pay top dollar for your meal, I would prefer less tourist driven faire.

Dave's Lobster was a highlight. Mr. Bee ordered the Half & Half Lobster Roll. One half of the sandwich was "The Local", which was 1/4 lb. of tender and sweet chilled lobster tossed in seasoned mayonnaise, with crisp celery and fresh chives. The other half of the lobster roll was filled with 1/4 lb. of warm lobster tossed with lemon garlic butter and fresh chives. Both were scrumptious. The flavor of the lobster was sweet. It was really nice to have a chilled half of sandwich and a warm half of sandwich. They both were different, but we couldn't decide on a favorite. I decided no lobster for lunch so I chose a grilled cheese. It was served on the same bread as the lobster roll, but the middle was filled with ooey gooey cheese and then smashed like a panini, it too was different and really good. But that doesn't mean I didn't sneak a bite or two of the lobster roll. The eatery is down on the water in a cute bungalow building. The interior is roomy and so bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean. They offer a few outdoor patio tables, and it was such a beautiful and warm day we ate outside and it was lovely. The service was excellent and the young woman working the counter was so helpful in explaining the different lobster rolls they offer to help us choose and her recommendation was spot on. This was truly the best lobster roll we had on the trip.

The choice of rolls here and most places are to have them cold or warm, and we found we like the cold ones better. The roll comes with a side and we both picked coleslaw. I got a local beer which was a blueberry ale that was pretty refreshing. The food was not as cheap as some places and the two letters MP (market price), typically mean I will be paying more, in this case the roll and side was over $30. There was a generous amount of lobster on the roll and it was fresh but I felt it needed either more mayonnaise or some acid to bring out the flavors. The roll was toasted though and buttery but still lacking a bit. Overall a good lunch for someone who doesn't get fresh lobster rolls often.

Food - 3 The food is prepared either by microwave, fryer,…read moreor panini press. Pulled pork & gravy are microwaved and combined with cold curds (that's why they aren't melty at all). Hot dogs are also microwaved then tossed in the panini press to give the appearance of being grilled. Water is $3, same price as all other non-alcoholic drinks. Fries were perfect, no notes. Lobster is placed on top of the bun to look like there's a lot but once you put it inside the bun, it's quite a mediocre amount. The fish sandwich is served in a hot dog bun (same bun as lobster roll) which is fine but was unexpected. Also, no kids menu. Ambiance - 4.5 Love the location and shaded picnic tables down on the floating dock. Such a fun vibe! Service - 3 Owner had an interesting vibe, but she owned it with total confidence so all the power to her. She wasn't very warm or friendly but danced quite eccentrically while taking orders, an intriguing juxtaposition. Overall rating: 3.5/5 -- Probably won't be back but it's worth a try!
