When I made an appointment for cleaning, I spoke with the receptionist and confirmed with her that they accept our insurance and she said yes, I even confirmed the doctors name who was in network with our insurance and girl confirmed that as well. On the day of the appointment receptionist tells me that they don't accept PPO insurance. She told me that the name I confirmed being in network with my insurance is Hamlet Avanessian who is the owner and not provider at that office? How will I know who are the providers in your office if no providers are listed on your website? Anyways, very unprofessional front desk , ended up paying cash for something that was covered by my insurance. To start off this place is amazing for kids. It's like they're right at home. They have Netflix for kids to watch when the dentist is working their teeth. Took my daughter for a 2nd opinion consult, the office was really cute and the doctor was really nice (that's why the 2 stars). But they claimed the procedure my daughter needed was not covered by insurance and I needed to pay out of pocket. Called my insurance and was told procedure was covered at 100%, and the insurance even called the office to explain. When I called the office back they said it was the wrong code and used code 9999, which we all know is a code used to bill and not be covered by insurance. Than they had said they won't bill by insurance for anything but I received a bill for a consult. Be VERY CAUTIOUS if you go because they might bill you for stuff that insurance covers. Better to save your money and go somewhere else, unless you want to pay extra for everything. read more

We switched from a pediatric dentist office that was more of a factory than a health care office and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Chamberlain took her time with both kids and really won them both over to a point where they enjoyed their visits. The entire office staff is wonderful and seems to genuinely enjoy interacting with children. They have a lovely staff BUT when my 22 month old's child's teeth were burning after her treatment they failed to contact me in a timely manner with next steps. Three days to be exact. The doctor called after I placed a scathing review on here assuring me all was good and it was normal. For her second treatment, they put some stuff on her face that I haven't been able to get off for 2 days in fact it looks like it BURNED her face. During her treatment I saw a huge gob of fluoride in her mouth which to my understanding is NOT health. I have to take her to the doctor ASAP to make sure she's okay. We saw this place as we were driving by and I decided to call and make an appointment for my son. It was his first dentist appointment and naturally I was anxious about how he'd handle it but after walking in for our first appointment all my worries went out the window. The receptionist was our first point of contact and she is by far the friendliest and most professional receptionist I've ever met. Literally the perfect person to be working around kids. Then we went into the office and the dentist and assistant came. Again, both very friendly and patient with my anxious son. I love this place! It's clean, fun and child friendly. Like most people, I was hoping that COVID was going to be a thing of the past by now; however, my daughter was coming up for her second dental appointment and I didn't want to keep pushing it out. We had previously seen another pediatric dentist in La Canada, but we weren't completely happy with the office and wanted to try someone new. Like any parents, we wanted to find the right fit for our child when it comes to her health related services. That being said, it's easier said than done finding the right fit for your family. I have to say that Burbank Pediatric Dentistry went above and beyond my expectations. From my first phone call to their office, Ayrine made me feel completely comfortable and her friendly attitude made me really excited about the office. She was extremely helpful, made sure they took our insurance, and was very patient when answering all of my questions. Upon arrival this morning, I can confirm that they have all necessary COVID precautions in place. The waiting room chairs are marked to make sure patients stay over 6 feet apart, a touch-less hand sanitizer station is available, masks are required and there is plexiglass up in front of the reception desk. Pens are sterilized between patients and protocol is absolutely on point. Ayrine was even lovelier in person and was so helpful even though my daughter was anxious upon arrival. The office itself is an absolute paradise for kids. The decor is so fun and there are even video games and TVs on the ceilings of the patient rooms. I'm sure toys are plentiful during non-COVID times, but there is still plenty to keep kids entertained in the waiting room. We did not have to wait long, and as soon as we came in we were greeted by the lovely dental assistant and Dr. Elizabeth. Both of them made extra efforts to ease my daughters fears and were extremely comforting during my daughters checkup and cleaning. We felt more like family than patients which was such a lovely feeling. I definitely feel like this has become our new permanent office. On our way out, Ayrine let my daughter pick out a toy and the appointment ended on a high note even with my daughter being a challenging patient. Please give this office a try if you're looking for a new place, or if you're thinking about changing offices - I guarantee you absolutely love the office! read more

This place is really great. It's extremely rare to go to any medical place in Los Angeles and feel like every aspect is good. The receptionist, the doctor and her assistant are all so friendly and sweet to the little ones - they really know how to interact with them and make them feel at ease. There's never a long wait time and the place is decorated really nicely along with toys and books to keep the children entertained. There's also a tv above the chair to distract them if need be whilst getting their teeth checked. It was the most traumatic situation. My daughter had work done that later had to be fixed. We did not receive a gentle or a professional experience. Some of the staff could barely speak English. My daughter was in so much pain while extraction of her molar. After comparing to a different practitioner we have realized we were taken advantage of. The dentist clearly didn't acknowledge my child's pain while the procedure was being done and there was more done than needed to be. Please! Beware of this facility.
