Needed an adjustment on a crown they did. I sat in the dental chair, and the technician said he'd be back in a few minutes. More than 35 minutes later, I was still waiting. Finally I got up and walked out. As I passed the office, the dentist saw me walking out and said sorry. That was 1 month ago. They never called to apologize or reschedule. Avoid this office if you want to save your teeth, they will remove your tooth faster than cure it. I really regret visiting this backward clinic. I doubt that they have any medical education at all, for me it is a torture clinic, they removed 2 teeth in one day Please do not trust ANYONE in this office, get the opinion of several doctors, only then make a decision... since insurance doesn't cover crowns, and this person wants to earn money, they drilled out my tooth, then they told me that they couldn't save it, although it didn't bother me at all, the nerves in this tooth were removed and the canals were sealed, he simply removed it . They also deceive, they said that your insurance covers 2 crowns, but I received a letter that it was refused... question, WHY DID THIS MHER HELP ME DRILL MY TOOTH IF THE CROWN WAS NOT APPROVED??? HE CAUSED ME PAIN, TOOTH LOSS...CHEAP BUSINESSMAN... Thanks to such incompetent doctors, I also got an unplanned and expensive implant... This is the worst dental experience of my life. Doctor Mher Asatryan is negligent, maximally negative and unprofessional in his work. He negligently performs his work, for which he is paid huge money. He is unfriendly and rude to his patients. After his "treatment" I have to undergo re-treatment, restore my teeth destroyed by him at good dentists and spend huge sums of money! Also my psychological state is terrible now, because he communicated negatively and humiliated me psychologically. I have been coming to this dental facility for about 3 years. I would recommend Dr Asatryan to anyone. The office is clean and welcoming plus there's always plenty of parking available. The receptionist is sweet and is always able to work with my busy schedule. They offer many appointment times, some later in the evening, which is always helpful. The Dr. is kind and informative, he always patiently answers all of my questions. He does a full exam and lets you know what is a priority to fix and what can wait. The hygienist also does a fantastic job. There were a few time I had to bring my daughter along with me and the office staff was more than accommodating to make sure she had a comfy place to sit while waiting. I cannot say enough good things about this dentist! I honestly had not been to a dentist for YEARS; partially because they terrify me, partially because I hadn't had any issues with my teeth. A few years ago one of my old cavity fillings (that I had done when I was a kid) fell out, I hadn't had any issues with it so I didn't act on it at the time. However this past month I was in excruciating pain for over a week and knew it was time for me to see a dentist ASAP. I contacted a few dentists that were covered my insurance and I was treated poorly by most of them, until I reached out to Burbank Village Registry. The receptionist understood my situation and offered to see me right away. When I arrived they treated me professionally, but most importantly to me, with kindness. They did x-rays and thoroughly explained to me what was causing my pain. I had an enflamed nerve that had been exposed for some time and my tooth was in dire need of a root canal IF i wanted to save it. I was extremely nervous but Dr. M and his dental assistant Liz put me at ease. I had three sessions, one to first treat the exposed nerve, another to fill the opening in my tooth and a final one to apply a porcelain crown. Throughout the entire process the team made sure to check in on me before a visit and after a visit. I honestly felt like they cared about my progress and I couldn't have been more appreciative. I appreciate the great work that Dr. Mher Asatryan (aka "Dr. Mike") did in restoring my chipped molar with a dental onlay. This is the most complex dental procedure that I've had done on my well-cared-for teeth, so I am so thankful that I was in Dr. Mike's very capable and experienced hands. I was impressed with the manner in which he delivered the anesthetic to the way in which he successfully restored my tooth. A dental onlay is not a simple procedure (more involved than a filling, preserves more tooth and is less invasive than a crown) and he pulled it off with great dexterity. Further, anesthetic injection pain was minimized, numbness set in quickly before the procedure, and numbness disappeared in record time after the procedure...this was surprisingly noteworthy to me and definitely deserves accolade. My restored tooth feels solid and secure, many thanks to Dr. Mike! He gets the top dentist trophy from me, bar none. read more

Do not seek services from this dentist. I found this office via insurance and they will try to sell you a "Deep Cleaning" that insurance will not pay, and will make you pay $600+ out of pocket. For a cleaning. That's wild. I had emergency dental work done there and had two cavities filled while I was there - no problem as that was all covered by insurance and billed correctly. Dr. Asatryan and his assistants were nice through the whole procedures and did good work, but was repeatedly pressured for this "Deep Cleaning" and they refused to do a normal cleaning. I just did the insurance covered work. I got called a few months later and was offered to come in for a cleaning, but they continued to refuse me a normal cleaning and kept pushing the deep cleaning that my insurance will not cover. I repeatedly told them that I will only come in for a "normal cleaning" that my insurance would cover and continued to refuse me. Stay away - they are sharks. I will be changing my dentist office with my insurance. read more

I found this dentist through my insurance. It is an HMO dental insurance and Dr. Asatryan was "in network". The first red flag for me should have been "HMO dentist." However, I was new to the area and didn't know any better. Second red flag: it was in a strip mall, and lobby was completely empty. No other patients in the office. The receptionist was friendly enough, but she was the only person in the office who spoke English as her first language. The "cleaning" was a joke. Seriously my teeth were sprayed with water and that was the "cleaning". They did take x-rays with new technology...a panorama I think. That was probably the best thing about this office. The doctor then comes in and tells me I need two fillings. By then I already had a weird vibe from his staff and the office itself. It felt rrrreally shady to me. I declined to have him do the fillings (which he insisted I needed right away). Because I got such a weird feeling from his office I made an appointment with my family dentist 2 hours away. I went to get copies of the x-rays from Dr. Asatryan's office and not only did they charge me $25 for x-rays the other doctor couldn't use, but Asatryan gave me the third degree about why I would seek a second opinion. SUPER BIG RED FLAG. I have been to two other dentists since my visit with Dr. Asatryan in Jan of 2012 and both of them have said I have no fillings that need to be done. I pay out of pocket for a PPO dentist now. They do a thorough job and don't recommend work that their patient doesn't need. Thesis statement? STAY AWAY. This guy is shady and does not do a thorough job. I would recommend PPO dentists, but if you have HMO, use someone else on their list of "in-network" dentists. read more

I found this office through my insurance. Which I've learned now is a bad idea. Dentists that are recommended through your insurance are often getting paid less per procedure so need to do more procedures to make up the difference. Dr. Asatryan is very nice, seems like a good guy and his staff were very professional and friendly. I went in just to get a mouth guard because my original dentist was quoting some outrageous price. I had JUST had a cleaning, x-rays and everything three months prior. I was told then I had no cavities. Dr. Asatryan then told me I had SEVEN cavities. He even showed me two on a little camera. I have never had a cavity in my life and could not have developed seven in three months. He told me my old dentist must of been a bad dentist. Then when the receptionist was checking on what insurance would cover, he came in and asked her "Guardian[insurance] doesn't really check right?" she said no and he proceeded to offer to do the cavities for free and just charge for the mouth guard. Well, that's fishy... He'd be getting paid by the insurance company to unnecessarily drill into my mouth. What a deal! Six months later I went to Dr. Jennifer Park-Cruz, who I could not recommend more BTW, she's AMAZING. She looked at my teeth for a long time and surprise! No cavities. The two that he showed me on the camera are just deep grooves that probably will be cavities in the future since they'll be hard to clean but she poked the hell out of them and said they aren't cavities yet. Please don't go to Dr. Asatryan. He might be super nice but this place is scammy as hell. read more

When I suddenly needed an emergency appointment I found myself at Burbank Village Dentistry and was fearing the worst. I was shocked at how quickly Dr. Asatryan put me at ease, as well as out of pain. After having gone through some serious dental treatments in 2013 and two extremely disappointingly bad experiences and attempt to get ripped off double billing and collecting by those offices, I had the good fortune to find Dr. Asatryan and his staff.
