Great find! Definitely give place a try! I had the Chapli Kebab burger, it was so flavorful! Iam so impressed! The fries were tasty! Nice staff! My bestie had the Tikka chicken burger and loved it!

The Smashburger here is excellent. You really need to order a double because one patty is too small. They do a good job making it crispy and the potato bun, sauce, and pickle bring it all together. This may be my favorite smash burger in the area. The chicken tikka sandwich it's also solid. I would recommend skipping the cheese on it though. Good spot overall and I will return.

After hearing that there was a smash burger spot in Herndon, I had to give this a try. Especially seeing all the food posts where it all looked so good. The Food: I had to get the "Classic Smash Burger". The smashed patty was pretty good. Had some good flavor, however, mine was slightly overcooked and a little dryer than I'd personally like. Not a big deal though. The burger was still delicious. Their Bhai sauce definitely helped add those good flavors. I think the star of the show was their "Loaded Fries". I got mine with the Chicken Tikka and it was absolutely amazing. Flavor and sauce combos were on point! The Service: Service was great. Fast and friendly. No complaints. The Atmosphere: Nice and big menu for you to browse in line. There was a decent amount of seating inside, but I did notice people mostly ordering takeout. And, the whole place was very clean! Plenty of parking on the outside as well. Overall, a 4/5. Pretty good food here. I'd definitely come back again to try other items on their menu.

I had picked up a couple burgers from here for Iftar and I will say, I want to try the rest of the menu, it was so good! I had The Bhai Ka Burger and The Classic Smash. The Bhai ka Burger consists of premium Juicy grass‑fed beef patty infused with turkey bacon, lettuce, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and Bhai's secret sauce on a brioche bun. I added jalepenos (extra), pickles, Masala sauce and onions. The Classic Smash Burger consists of Grass‑fed beef patty smashed for crispy edges, topped with melted American cheese, and secret bhai ka sauce on a soft potato bun. I also added the same to this bueger, but removed the lettuce on both. Each burger was amazing, though the flavor on the Bhai ka bueger was excellent. The rich beef flavor enhanced by the turkey bacon was a nice aromatic experience and would be a crowd pleaser at any party. The size of the burgers was amazing and the nice crunch on the Lacey edges was incredible! I took it to go, but I recommend eating in house as the essence of the smash lace is preserved better when aten immediately! The staff is friendly and very helpful, even when busy. It's a small place, but I see expansion in their future God willing!

When I saw this smash burger spot with a twist I had to pull up!! Ok es like these are a reason why I love the DC area!! Just the diversity that we have here is like that!! Now let's go try these burgers where you might find a mint chutney sauce on!! . Where I am: @burgerbhaiva . Location Reviewed: 150 Elden St 180 Herndon VA. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Classic Smash Burger ($6.99 with a grass fed beef patty, pickles, American cheese, & their Bhai sauce). A classic well made burger, with a tangy Bhai sauce, tasty!! STAMP!! Their Chick-A-Tikka Burger ($9.99 with Tandoori grilled chicken, mint chutney, & American cheese). Different, well grilled chicken, you tasted every flavor in this sandwich! LIKE THAT!! STAMP Their Loaded Fries ($11 with a grass fed smash burger, their secret sauce, & American cheese). I didn't realize it was a whole burger on here...that, & the sauce...YES!! STAMP!! Their Falooda Milkshake ($10 a creamy sweet rose syrup). Sweet, floral, & creamy!! DECENT. Their Rose Limeade ($5 rose flavored limeade). A tad bit too warm with a bitter aftertaste . . Bhai ka burger with small fries (minus what I ate on the ride home because it's that good).

Phenomenal food. Caring staff. Worth the small wait. Move over five guys, this is the place for smash burgers in Herndon. Burgers are seasoned right and made to order. Fries are well cooked and flavorful (go for the loaded fries). Milkshakes are fresh and a unique offering with burgers. I've been there 5 times now and it gets better each time. Orange sauce is the best choice. This is a 10/10 halal spot.

Taste of Istanbul was a delightful experience. I ordered the combination kebab platter to sample a bit of everything, and not a single item disappointed. The real standout was the chicken, it was cooked to perfection, incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Even the rice exceeded expectations, as it was well-seasoned and genuinely delicious rather than just a side dish. The service was attentive, with the staff offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we asked for. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, and the outdoor seating makes it an especially enjoyable spot when the weather is nice. The mixed mezze platter was another highlight, offering generous portions that were easily enough to share among a few friends. The bread was fresh, warm, and crisp. It's also worth noting that they're open until midnight on Sundays, making Taste of Istanbul a fantastic option for a satisfying late-night meal.

I tried this place out for lunch on a rare outing without my wife and when the craving for cart style meat over rice struck. The restaurant was completely empty during peak lunch hours, which did not bode well. I nonetheless proceeded and ordered a combo chicken/lamb platter over rice to go. Shah's sauces are solid, and I appreciate that the white sauce is not gloppy or sweet like some other competitors' and that the red sauce is appropriately piquant. They also offer a mild but flavorful green sauce which adds some fresh notes. Those sauces are needed as the chicken, lamb, and rice are unremarkable. The chicken possessed a decent flavor from a spiced marinade, though the pieces ran a little dry. The lamb cubes tasted like generic gyro and carried little flavor besides salt. The rice itself lacked the fluffy yet al dente texture seen at the best halal places. The proteins did not taste fresh and were served from a steam table rather than off the griddle. Still, the overall eating experience felt reasonably enjoyable due to the flavor of the sauces carrying the weight of the platter. The guy who took and assembled my order was very nice, though forgot to include pita bread in my order. I paid about $13 for the meal, and the portion was generous. As such, Shah's is a competent but unremarkable halal platter spot. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but if it's the closest place to you for this type of food it's a fine option.

Not much of an ambiance but a great grab and go spot.

Ordering is quick and easy through the iPad, and I went with the Beef Perfect Bowl over rice. The portion alone impressed me. It came piled high with grilled beef, fresh greens, rice, and even an egg roll, making it feel like a complete meal rather than just a rice bowl. The beef was flavorful, the vegetables added a nice freshness, and while I'm trying to cut back on carbs, I have to admit the sticky rice soaked up all the savory sauce and was hard to stop eating. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for jalapeños or another spicy topping. I like my food with a little more heat, and I think that extra kick would have taken the bowl to the next level. There are a handful of tables if you want to eat there, but I grabbed mine to go. Hidden gem is an overused phrase, but in this case it actually fits. Generous portions, solid flavors, and reasonable prices for this day and age.

I'm a local customer and live just a minute away, so I've visited more than once. I came in for lunch today with my wife and our 1.5-year-old son. After placing our order and sitting down, the server loudly yelled from behind the counter for us to come get our water. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially with a young child. When I placed my order, I asked for extra white sauce, and I asked again when the food came out. Both times, the request was ignored. I also mentioned that we hadn't received our drinks, but instead of addressing it, the server again yelled for us to get the drinks ourselves from the cooler. The food itself was okay, but the bread was very poor--hard and barely edible. I even called the restaurant later in the evening to share my concerns, but was told the server was off at that time. Overall, very disappointing experience, mainly due to the customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improvement.
