SUMMARY: This place sucks so bad that I'm writing about it right now before boarding my flight. This is neither fast food nor food. The most apathetic crew I've ever seen. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I'll try to keep this brief: from the time I got in line to the time I actually got my food, it clocked 32 minutes. 100 pct of this was due to how the people behind the counter ran the business. Two of the slowest most apathetic line cooks I've ever seen. One guy in back whose sole job could be described as apathetically leaning on the mid counter between the front counter and the kitchen and only passing out bags of cooked food. The front counter gal was just as apathetic and slow. There was zero sense of urgency. It was almost as if they expended more energy to be purposefully slow than to work at normal speed. Or breathe. FOOD The only thing redeeming was the bun. Everything in between tastes like ass. The burger was specified as medium and came to us as overdone grey. Thankfully we only ordered one. The fries were old. And this is what burns me: that lazy kid in the back is "helping" cook fries. But only decided to start cooking them when the line built up to be about 10 orders deep. Idiot. Best part of the meal? The bottled Pepsi. Of note we warned two couples to walk away and go somewhere else. They looked at our frustrated faces, looked at Team Sloth, and looked at each other before walking somewhere else to eat.

Had a few hours of downtime in the airport and needed some food to fuel me for the long flight I had ahead of me. So after exploring my options, decided on grabbing a burger from Burger Joint New York. There was a bit of a long line, and the staff weren't friendly, but they weren't unfriendly either. I ordered a burger, and the price was about $11 if my memory serves me right for a single burger, and fries were about $3.99 extra. So if you want a burger, fries and a drink be prepared to shell about about roughly $20. Average burger, really nothing to write home about, I'd say it compares to a below average Burger Fi burger, but at airport prices. I'd buy it again if I craved a burger in the airport, but only because of convenience and lack of options. Pass on it if you have another option you're attracted to.

DAMN! This place is GOOD and was much needed in this terminal. Reminds me of a SmashBurger burger...very tasty and flat beef patty, with all the stuff on top. The fries come in a paper bag and are shoestring- very salty and very tasty, if youre into that. It's pricey but what at the airport isnt? At least this is a good meal esp. if you're about to hop on a long haul flight!

Worst burger I've had in the US. This needs a little bit of context. It's not that it was rotting, or tasted dangerously bad but it was thoroughly unenjoyable. I left about 1/3 of it. In 39 years i have never not finished a burger. Even the crappy dry ones you used to get at the school cantine. By comparison - a McD burger (which is pretty bottom of the barrel) is orders of magnitude better. The bun was a white flour, dry, plain bun; the type you'd get at Gregs or tescos (notoriously poor quality bakery options in the UK). The beef was unseasoned and tasteless. The cheese was not melted. The highlight was the lettuce and the pickles. That should say it all. It's also worth mentioning that i was starving. I hadn't eaten a proper meal all day. So this burger really had a low barrier to impress. I don't know if this is run by the same people as Burger Joint in the Parker Meridian hotel in Midtown - which I really liked the handful of times i ate there back when there weren't as many new burger places to try in the city - but if it is, then it is massively pi$$ing on the ashes of Burger Joints legacy and reputation. Oh also, and this in no way lost it points, but the service is inordinately slow. If you're at terminal 7 - trust me, you're not that hungry. Do to Hudson news and get some peanuts. Go to the bar and get a salad. Get some overpriced sandwiches from the deli next door (they're still cheaper than the burgers and more tasty). This place is milking the fact that it has a captive audience. Don't waste your time/money.

slow! dirty! really slow. most of the reviews are accurate. they do give you lettuce for gf options fries are good with the lack of food options in this "food court", this leaves you with very few options! competition needs to move in so they clean up the lack of service and cleanliness. sometimes the cashier treats you like a person but everyone else just stairs at you.

Airport food is generally bad, and Burger Joint is no exception. This place exemplifies what makes Terminal 7 JFK food bad. I waited over 20 minutes for my food, and all I ordered was a small hamburger, which costed over $9. The burger wasn't bad. It was pretty much what you'd expect from a standard burger - decent patty, lettuce, tomato, and some mayonaise. The portion size not worth it at its price point. But it's airport food, so what do you expect? Does the job of filling you up before your flight somewhat.

Honestly I thought this place was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly, burger cooked to perfection and the bun was deliciously fresh! Many topping to choose from, I did a single burger with cheese and all the toppings and it was plenty of food. The fries looked good but I wasn't hungry enough to try. Next time!

What the f***. All I wanted was a shake. Literally the only thing I order; $8. The size could be considered a water cup. Yes, I understand this is an airport and that it anything in one is expensive. Total ripoff, take me to Five Guys.

One of the very few options to get something to eat in the absolute s--t hole Terminal 7 at JFK. Here they have burgers, fries, beer and shakes. Ordered a burger done medium, got charcoal on a Play Doh like bun with soggy lettuce. The fries are decent. Counter service is slow and careless and, as expected since it's in an airport, it's over priced. I can't say this is the worst place to get something to eat in Terminal 7 since it's one of the only places to grab a bite here but it's pretty lousy.

It's very convenient and there were several spots open. I walked to the front, entered Kansas Chicken and received the same high quality service as my previous visit. The restaurant is clean, as it should be. I ordered the Heat Seeker combo, mild with less sauce. Accompanied by onion rings and a drink $8.99. This is a great alternative as opposed to that Sailor man that eats spinach. Infact this sandwich is much better. How? 1. It's not greasy. 2. No after taste. 3. Not too crunchy 4. No stomach discomfort after consumption. I think that's enough reasons! The Heat Seeker was assembled perfectly no sliding, dripping, or falling apart. The onion rings were delicious, because of the list provided above. The Chocolate mousse cake was good as well. This alternatives does well for the budget and the server was humble and grateful with superior customer interactions. Pro tip - remember to input your number to receive perks. Now you can conveniently order a burger in no time from a location in the airport. You place your food order from a touch screen kiosk. You can also watch your order being prepared by employees in the kitchen. This location has the typical Shake Shack vibe and flair. I ordered the single-patty ShackBurger, a made-to-order quarter pound patty of 100% Angus beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. The burger really hit the spot before a flight. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and made fresh, with the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and bun. Simple, classic, and satisfying. For an airport location, the quality held up surprisingly well. Service was a bit slow but everything came out hot and neatly put together. Prices are a bit higher at the airport, but the consistency and flavor made it worth it. Perhaps they're evocative of my childhood and youth, when every diner and burger joint served them. So I headed to Shake Shack for some lovely delicious fries. Ordering is a pain. You use a kiosk. After saying three or four times that I couldn't scan the water, someone came over. You have to page through the menu. Ugh. Paid, typed in my name, and waited. And waited. Finally, my name was called, and I got my fries and some napkins. I sat I a lounge chair right across from Shake Shack, and.....the fries were cold. Terrible, awful, crushing disappointment. I so rarely eat fries these days. I was anticipating hot, golden, lovely crispy fries. I got lukewarm semi-limp mostly underdone fries. A sad, sad feeling. There's no seating at Shake Shack, but you can sit at a gate or take your food with you. Employees were working very hard, so it's strange that my fries were cold. I picked them up right away when my name was called. I probably won't come back, if I am in this terminal another time.
