To start this off, the lobby was open. I walked in and tried to order and they very rudely kicked me out and said "drive through only" So I proceeded to try and order through the drive through. On Thanksgiving day we looked on the Door Dash site and only a few places were open. Burger King was shown as open. We love the Impossible Burgers so we ordered. The order was shown as picked up and then shown as delivered. We watched the driver on the screen but he did not come to our house. He went home and never notified us that no lunch was coming. We called him and he said Burger King was closed but he reported the meal as delivered "so that he could get his tip". We reported this to Door Dash and they gave us a credit but took no action against this guy. Instead They required us to give a signature on future orders. Unreal. In the meanwhile this guy is still out there stiffing people I would have been happy to give this guy his tip for his trouble but he chose to screw us and door dash instead. Your store sucks. Your employees are awful. I dont even know how this place stays in business. Your employees want to argue with me on the amount of toppings for a whopper that I paid $7.28 just for the sandwich to get it with heavy all and extra cheese. I had to take it back because it had one slice of cheese and no mayo or ketchup. It also had t small rings of tomato, 2 small onion shards, one pickle. I get it back and all they did was add one slice of cheese and about a 1/2 cup of mayo. They them smashed the burger down, gave me back the same sandwich I took a bite out of in the same wrapper. First thing first.... service here is nonexistent . I went to counter to order and i was treated with "to go or here " in a rude way. Place is empty at dinner time and now i know why. Food took forever and i am the ONLY person here. The place is nasty , everywhere you look it is nasty, dirty. Earlier today we decided to go to the chelsea Burger King, so we pull up to the drive thru screen to place our order and nobody answered and the backdoor was wide open with lights on. So as any sensible person does we pull up to the drive thru window and no one came to help us yet we saw a woman multiple times hiding from us and other customers, so we pull around again and another customer is waiting at the screen so we pull up behind her and after a while she pulls up to the window and after that we decide to give up and leave but as we are leaving we hear the customer in the car yell "I can f****ng see you in there". In all this is really a letter to the owner of this establishment to talk to her about it and possibly let her go from the establishment. read more

The front register was not being used. So we waited till the drive thru worker noticed us and gave our order to the manager that was working. The air was not on, and it read 76 degrees in the lobby on the thermostat. They didn't have onion rings and were slow to get or order out even though there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. 2 whopper meals both small sized and over 19 bucks. Well. Just as I expected. I think this placed finally closed down. Went by today and no one was there. It was obvious this was going to happen. The staff was always very unfriendly and flat out ugly. They refused to open the lobby. They always wanted to charge you for extra sauces and ketchup. We have seen restaurants come and go on 280. This place is pretty far from 5 stars. They often give you a hard bun that were probably stored too close to heat source. They don't pay attention to their famous advertising "Have it your way". Literally the first thing I said ordering was "No pickle Whopper". Guess what, plenty of pickles to go with the dark, wilted lettuce and tough onions. They wont replace it without a receipt, which I have never been given when paying cash. Even if you can give exact order information, time, etc. they don't care. Hard to find an employee with even a hint of pleasantness. Drive though window is full of negative messages for customer 'cause its all about them & what they want. Strawberry frozen lemonade was good! Service is slow, no one in place to serve staff sitting in dining room and behind counter. Chicken and fish sandwiches over cooked dried out and bun hard. They do offer military discount and senior discount. But food is only if you need a quick bite not a great fast food experience to say the least. read more

Went through the drive thru at 8:30 p.m. and no one there to take our order. While driving around the building we saw staff behind the counter in the kitchen so we tried to call twice but no answer. This is not the first time this has happened to us. The hours listed are 6 a.m.- 9 p.m. for drive thru and 6 a.m.- 12 a.m. dine in. This is not acceptable and before writing this I would have preferred to speak to a manager but no answer there. DO NOT go to the Chelsea location if you want to be served. read more

Food overall was ok. My review is on the service. This is a new locations and I understand things should improve, hopefully. The associate who took our order did fine and when we received our food, it was as we ordered. Now, it did take longer than it should have based upon staffing and the number of customers. It seems the associates were none too eager to hustle the food out. This is a fast food restaurant, right? It took nearly 10 minutes to receive our food. Considering there was only one person in front of us inside the restaurant, this was simply unacceptable. Again, hopefully this will improve. My big issue came while we waited for our food. I watch the associate make a milkshake. They apparently pulled the cup out underneath the ice cream machine before they cut off the ice cream. There ended being a 2.5" strand of ice cream hanging off the side. Then the associate decided to add a little more ice cream and did the exact same thing. So there were two 2.5" strands of ice cream hanging off the side of the cup. When the associate place the cup underneath the mixer, I guess they saw the two strands. Instead of getting napkin or something to cut the strands, they ended up taking their finger, yes finger, and wiping them off the cup. To totally gross things out, they flicked the ice cream into a trash can and continued mixing, never bothering to wipe their hands. So this guy's cup, thankfully not mine, had ice cream all over the side. I really hope this restaurant's standards end up being much more than what this associate and the other associates were displaying. The associates need to at least act like they care for the customers' time and get the food out faster. They also need to understand this is food and need to follow some sort of food standards. Can you choose a negative star?? We were there December 20th at 12:15 (Cahaba Park Hwy 280 location) and the dining room of the restaurant was locked! No employees had shown up, only two people doing the drive thru. We had two hungry grand kids so decided to chance it. Thirty minutes later, we still had not received all our order so had to leave. We even banged on the front door trying to get the remainder of our order but were ignored. Now the rest of the story! We were at a Christmas party today and someone said they had gone to the same Burger King on Highway 280 yesterday and noticed several of the employees huddled in the side parking lot smoking what appeared to be something other than cigarettes!!! Who and where is the manager of this store??? I plan on writing to the corporate headquarters and hope others who have had similar experiences at this location will do the same. read more

Melissa was amazing on May 9 of 2017. She gave us our meal with a smile and my coffee drink was the best I've ever drink- ever. She needs a raise and needs to be the department manager because I didn't see anybody else working- but her.
