So , I am writing this after having last visiting a Burger King years ago at Civic Center. Yes , I did see people get busy at the Burger King bathroom years ago at the Civic Center location. So my years of avoiding the tweakers at the Civic Center Burger King , I finally stepped into another Burger King but this time in Daly City and I was shocked. It was clean and families were actually were eating in peace. I saw a Christmas tree inside. I actually was curious about the impossible burger and it was better than expected. I was also surprised how happy the employees at the Burger King were. I usually got a rotten attitude at the Civic Center Burger King. This Burger King has better service than many pretentious places in San Francisco. I am glad civic center Burger King is now closed and that annoying loud music is long gone. read more

2.5 stars Me go to a fast food restaurant? How scandalous! But I came to Burger King for one reason, and that was to try their Impossible Whopper! Impossible Burgers are making their way into fast food restaurants, and this apparently convincing meat substitute is becoming trendy. But just to be sure, I had the conviction of ordering one regular Whopper made with real beef and one Impossible Whopper, for a side-by-side taste test! Both rather simple sandwiches came on soft, sesame seed buns with rather sad pieces of lettuce, tomato, and onion. After tasting both burgers (in a blind test), I could immediately tell which the real Whopper was, but it wasn't because the Impossible Whopper wasn't convincing--rather, it was because the quality of meat in the real Whopper just was not that great. The grind was uneven, the texture was dry and even a bit gristly. In other words, it was a frozen, processed fast food burger. The Impossible patty was actually superior in terms of taste, but I also can't say that it was the best Impossible Burger I've had, because it was cooked to well-done, and the "bloodiness" from the heme (its signature ingredient) was lost. read more

That's okay, but even when the manager stepped in to try to correct things, we still ended up with a missing item. When my friend tried to address it, the manager was very dismissive about our order, especially when it was done wrong. I've heard bad things about this place during the evening but still wanted to give it a shot. It was just worse than I imagined. I just went here last night. placed an order, the customer service was great, but when I got home I noticed that one burger was missing. I called the Burger King to inform them about part of the order being missing, and an employee stated they'll give me a sandwich but i live a few miles away. It was just an inconvenience, because I was the only car there, so I felt that it shouldn't of been any mishaps. They were not scrambling to serve many customers. If the cameras are checked they'll see I was the only person present in the drive through. They were not paying very close attention to detail. read more

This is the local Burger King here in Daly City. This is no different from any other typical fast food places. Just like most Burger King location, this has bad service, cheap, frozen, heated, and unhealthy food. But, let's be real, it's still so damn good. Look, you should not be expecting any different from Burger King, nor should you be complaining. It's a fast food place for a reason. You go here to indulge your late night cravings. It doesn't try to be fancy, and that's ok. It's not suppose to be. It's quick and easy, good and cheap food. Nothing more. I will say though, the only thing I will complain about is, since this location is near a sewage system, it stinks tremendously from time to time. Whoever was in charge of the design should be fired. They have no commonsense at all! The new remodel actually makes the store worse. Pre remodel, they had a section where people can wait in line to order. Now that they added these walled panels in the center of the store, they took away the space where people used to wait in line so now they snake through the dining room - where they block off the seats. You'd have to ask people to move to make your way to your table. They inexplicably removed a lot of seating. The back wall is dedicated to a living room setting (coffee table and two living room chairs). This would be ok at a Starbucks but not when you're trying to eat! They also took away one of the automated soda machines. The one machine they had was broken already. The clerks should have asked people what they wanted to drink and fill the drinks to them. However, they kept handing out empty cups only for you to go to the pick up counter and ask that they fill up your cup. Major redesign fail. Also, someone needs to learn how to spell "Grilling." I have not been to a BK in years, so decided to return since they were offering complimentary Seattle's Best coffees on November Fridays. This is a staple of west lake. Any local from southern part of SF or peninsula knows this BK. Went here for first time in about 15 years. I don't normally eat fast food but I tried the Fish filet sandwich and it was great. For fast food I give this location 5 stars. It doesn't get better. read more

Poor experience over all. Gentleman taking order at drive thru was obviously not interested in his job or providing anything resembling customer service. When I arrived at the window he greeted me with "oh, you're not Bob. Wait a minute". After closing the window and looking at orders he came back and asked "Are you the Whopper with Cheese?" In my 70 plus years I've never been called a "whopper" before. He all but threw my change at me. It went down hill from there. My onion rings were ice cold as I left the parking lot. My fries were equally cold. I ended up throwing out almost all the fries and most of the onion rings. Sandwich was adequate, but the whole experience makes me doubt I will ever come back. It has been 10 years since the last time I was here and this place has not changed much. I went through the drive-thru because I did not have time to wait inside with the nasty burger and fries aroma circling inside infecting my lungs. I pulled up to the drive-thru and order my all time favorite, original chicken meal. After I placed my order I realized that they have 2 windows that you have to go to. The first window is to pay and the second is to receive your food. I have never liked this setup because I always wonder what happens if I pay first and then my ordered gets messed up because there is a mishap in the sequencing of the ordering being prepared. I HAVE WITNESSED THIS HAPPEN TO OTHER PEOPLE!!! So, after I gave my money to Santa Claus looking dude at the first window I then went to the second window to receive my order. The second window person was very fast with handing off my order. She was working really really hard. I could tell because she was multitasking like a BEAST, that's how you get a promotion!! I do not recall her name but she was handling her job like a BOSS!! After I got my food I saw that in the window of BK that they have a 24 hour drive-thru. That is a NEW THING. I do not know when that started but it does make sense. Especially for people in the area getting home late from going to the club or drinking late night. Because I only come here once in a blue moon I can only say that while fast food is bad it is still OK to have once in a while. My meal was as expected but the size of the sandwich has changed a whole lot. I guess the company is CUTTING BACK!!! So, went through the very slow drive up. Order taken, third in line, wait 12 mins to get to the window, The older women that was packing my fries into the bag was wearing gloves, that's good. She then walked up to the register, punched up something then took cash and made change. Still wearing the same gloves, I saw her palm my fries as she put them in the bag, then walked up to the drive up window and start on the register to take my money. Now handling money and food with the same gloved hands IS a health code violation. In today's Coronavirus Pandemic world, it's down right horrifying. I got upset and started to say something but she slammed the drive up window and disappeared into the back for a couple of minutes. Then a young man came to the window to take my money. When I complained to him about it he just shrugged his shoulders. I then asked for the manager. An even older women acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned health code violations but I don't think she understood what I was talking about.
