The service was great. When they changed the exterior, I was thrilled to see this decades-old franchise updated to a more modern feel. I must admit that this was the first time I got a burger that looked like the ones on the menu and in commercials. Great job, BK!

Ordered a whopper for my boyfriend asked for no tomato, lettuce or onion. My receipt was correct and the markings on the sandwich wrapper was right but the sandwich was WRONG. Had everything I asked them NOT to put on it. There was hardly any ketchup or mayo. What's worse is I had to wait for awhile to get my order.

Manager remade my order the way I requested and to be honest it's the best whopper I've had in years. 5 star service and food for sure .

The wait was long, they got the order wrong and I was overcharged. Tried to call but no one picked up the phone. Won't go there again.

I'm sure when it's peak time it's live in there so I'll have to come back for an event. Went around noon on a Sunday and it was fairly empty so we sat at the bar and were serviced immediately. Strawberry lemon drop - 10/10 - I love a good lemon drop but a I'll never pass up a flavored one. No notes. Shrimp & Grits - 5/10 - don't get me wrong it was GOOD but it was too rich/cheesy to me. I don't know what I was expecting in terms of cheese but I've never had soooooo much cheese in an order of shrimp and grits. I legit pulled a mound of cheese off the top and it was still too much. I couldn't finish this unfortunately, even taking them home for another day didn't work because I couldn't take the richness. Not a slight to them, just a no for me. There was a great amount of shrimp in the dish and the consistency of the grifts were amazing. Just need something to cut through the richness. My friend had: Omelette - 10/10 - said they enjoyed it and would get it again Side of bacon - 10/10 - you got 6 pieces with the order and that was solid to me. I'd definitely come back and try something else on their brunch menu if given the chance. It's a bit out the way so I couldn't see myself traveling for it but if I was in the area I definitely would come back.

Just one other group of me, maybe some jazz music in the background, while we watched Basketball on the screen Best part about SOBEs was Mrs. Elaine, the bartendar. I would rate the food a 2.5/5. I had the shrimp tacos, which lacked flavor. The shrimp was bland. The Bang Bang shrimp was lacked flavor also. We barely touched these, so disappointing. People started showing up @ 7pm. which was $20 to get in. An AMAZING live cover band played at 9pm. By 7:45 pm, there was also a live DJ playing classic hip hop and RnB. That was such a VIBE! The crowd got really thick for the band, you literally had to push your way to the bathrooms. Bathrooms also need napkins to dry your hands with, instead of the nasty air hand dryers

Well this seems to be the latest in this chain to open. I thought it was just Peruvian chicken but…read moreit's pretty much Peruvian everything plus cheese steaks, dry roasts, and vegetables. I'm here at lunchtime and it's filling up which of course is exactly what we want to see. I'm here on the recommendation of someone who has tried these gyros and they know how picky I am about the gyros. Because they're cooked to order , I can tell you that the place is very clean and very organized. The staff is all Hispanic. I don't know what that means, Caribbean chicken, I guess, but since I don't eat Peruvian chicken because it's very very salty, I'm trying the other meals. You can get an assortment of vegetables if that's what you want. I already mentioned there's chicken. You can eat wraps, different sandwiches, and a lot of Latin specialties. one complaint is that since they cook to order and you don't pick up at the table as my gyro, I sat here waiting for someone to call me. I didn't hear my name called out even though they asked for your name. I eventually had to go up to get it. I'm sure it's a little cooler than I would probably like it but we'll see. The final thing is, which I'm beginning to see not just here, A sign begging we want tips and we appreciate it. As for the Sandwich, they use the pre-sliced meat like that you would buy in a kit. . Cut thin and uniform and crisp on the ends. Think of bacon with a identity issue. Bread? it may think its Pita more like pity and last, The dressing was tasty and liberal would have licked it off the bread. Bottom Line, do not come here for the cold gyros , but i'm sure you find other food to like. 2.5 out of 5

First: start with the tres leches cake, here. Or end with it. But definitely do not miss it. The…read moreflavor of this cake is not very sweet, but instead like a melty, milky rum caramel almost-pudding that will have you swooning. If you like the complexity of the flavor of flan, you will love this tres leches cake. Many know that El Pollo Rico in Arlington, Virginia is the original Mac Daddy of all of the Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurants in the DC area. Decades ago, my tech compadres and I would stand on line in their sparse environs and get a quarter chicken with white meat hacked right in front of you. Just like at all the the Peruvian rotisseries today. Back then, all you could get were fries and cole slaw and no other choices for sides unless you wanted yucca. And one type of dessert. That was it. And it was the best chicken ever. Since then, many places offering Peruvian chicken have become mainstays and Sardi's is one. The original Sardi's, in Beltsville, is usually packed and full of families. The decor is welcoming, the seating area is grand and there are many, many sides to choose from. As well as other menu items. Sardi's has since spun-off as a chain all around the DC area, but with a franchised, methodical approach. The recipe as I've at least observed in this New Carrollton location: big branding, open spaces, a clean and simple aesthetic, booth and table seating, plenty of rotisserie, other menu items, a steam table with sides and many desserts. Oh ... and friendly and helpful staff who really make a difference. The rotisserie chicken seasoning at Sardi's brings much sodium and a pleasant, subtle heat. But it's not excessively spicy, by any means. I think it would be fascinating to know how they make the seasoning. This salt plus heat combo is not what I've been used to - Peruvian rotisserie chicken-wise - for decades, but it is flavorful. I would like to ask the team if they have a sweeter sauce to balance the mild heat. I have gotten my favorite yellow 'Amarilla,' sauce here but it's not what I am used to, either. It's salty and there is no mild sweetness. A purely sweet - and maybe hot - sauce would probably balance the spices of the Sardi's Peruvian chicken well. Btw this heat doesn't slowly build, it's just pleasantly smokey. The fries are served piping hot and tasty if you get them right when they are made. They are big and good. The cole slaw is deceiving because it looks like normal slaw but the flavours are quite intense and lively. I kept serving myself more and wondered if I might have just eaten the whole side dish if I didn't have to share it. The yucca is more tender than I'm used to, if yucca can be. Sardi's masters the art of preparing it so that you're not pulling off the edges and chewing too much. So, yes on more yucca please. The rice is lovely, perfectly clumped and well seasoned. As mild as their rice is, you really don't need to add anything to it, ie butter or whatever. It's fabulous just the way it is. Unless, of course, you are like me and rest the undersides of your rotisserie chicken on the rice to intentionally get a bit of that Sardi's rotisserie seasoning on it. As for the other desserts: we tried the chocolate mousse cake. Cakes this light have easily been stale, but not this one. Our slice was fresh and moist. I've had lighter mousse cakes at fine restaurants which sometimes have notes of 'refrigerator' surface so I was relieved this was not the case, here. There are slightly nutty notes in the mousse. I want to say hints of pistachio but the label mentions "soy tree nut (almond, coconut, hazelnut, pecan and walnut.)" Not sure if they are all blended in but this is a classic and mild, nutty chocolate dessert mousse vs. a super-rich, dark chocolate experience. I prefer the latter. This mousse cake is so fresh that when you open the container, you can immediately smell the lovely chocolate cake. That's saying a lot about their quality control standards, here. I would like to next try the carrot cake and the tiramisu cake, here. Why? Because I know they are at least going to be fresh. And with Sardi's emphasis on good flavors, I couldn't imagine these two desserts would be anything less than delicious. The rice pudding is everything, here! It was so delicious that you could even have it for breakfast: it's cold, creamy, sweet and perfectly flavored with cinnamon. Finally, a note about the staff. They are warm and kind when approached. And people were just helpful here. I enjoyed our dinner and feel that the best thing Sardi's has is a focus on their team being helpful with customers, people having an aesthetic space to dine among one another and a reliable place to enjoy Peruvian rotisserie with a bit of flair.

Representing 2025, H is for Habit Burger:…read more I've been to the Bowie location a few times in past 3 years. They didn't have the best first impression. They had a free burger event in July 2023 for free charburger, but when I got there a sign saying due to unforseen circumstances they had to cancel. It would've been helpful to have known before driving all the way over there. I emailed the company, and they sent me a free meal to use within the next year. Habit Burger is good if you have an issue, which is rare, they will take care of it. My girlfriend & I went to this location twice, August 2024 & June 2025. In August 2024, we had a long Bowie walk with a Meetup group and were hungry for dinner after. So, we went to nearby Habit Burger. Like In-N-Out Burger, which is only in the West, Habit Burger also started in California. In-N-Out started in Baldwin Park near LA in the late 1940's, and Habit Burger started in Santa Barbara in 1969. I love In-N-Out, but I think Habit is even superior to In-N-Out. They know how to make the charbroiled burgers so well. Fries are delicious too, and they have specialty strawberry lemonade, which is sweet & tasty. We went again to Habit Bowie on Friday, June 27, 2025 since we had to pick up my g/f car from repair in east Annapolis car dealer service. That June 2025 was kind of rough. We had a great trip at the beginning of June to Toronto & Niagara Falls. But starting June 16, I had 3 rounds of chemo, which thankfully was a success, except for the leftover teratoma (at least not viable cancer) which led to major surgery in February. On Friday, 6/20, after first round of chemo, we had a minor trip to eastern shore MD with a small group of friends. My girlfriend drove us since I was leaving from chemo. Although I wasn't feeling great for the trip, that wasn't why that trip wasn't fun. The worst part was our friend brought a total whack job with him who created unnecessary drama (he acknowledged it was a terrible mistake). Now he has a girlfriend, who is nice, so his +1 will definitely be better. The 2nd worst aspect was that Friday, my g/f car broke down in Easton. We had to wait for tow to drive car from Easton to Annapolis dealer (since my g/f car has no dealers on eastern shore, and mechanics in Easton didn't have the right part). And then get a ride from someone coming from more than 30 minutes away already there. Annual trip in June 2026 has got to be better as the June 2025 was 1 in 1000 year confluence of bad events that weekend. The following Friday, June 27, 2025, Habit was running a deal for free double charburger with purchase. One of us purchased the fries (to split) & other purchase the drink, so we both got the free double burger. We enjoyed that for lunch on the way to Annapolis. This was a big meal especially considering I was on chemo, but it was delicious, and I managed alright that day. Once again like in August 2024, I commented to my g/f how this is the best at least casual dining burger out there.
