Our waitress didn't arrive for like ten minutes and then took forever to bring our drinks back. The vibes were just all off. Like they all wanted to get out of there and not be around each other. It wasn't even late. The food was average, nothing spectacular. We got a burger and the fish and chips. For a traditional pub, fish and chips should be one of the best things on the menu, less than par. The beer cheese soup was a highlight. Very good. We also ordered some type of pear cheeseburger. Different, but not bad. I'd try something else if I were to return. The decor is traditional pub meets modern hipster vibes. Hard to screw up. Although, limited beer options. One bite and I was twelve years old again--only this time I got to share it with my own family. The new owners have kept every bit of what made Dovie's legendary. Same perfect burgers.
