I understand that businesses have policies and employees can't always give away free food. However, when a homeless man walked in on a hot day and simply asked for a glass of water, he was ignored and then told to leave. Water is a basic human necessity, and showing a little compassion costs nothing. I was able to catch up to him outside and give him a few dollars so he could get something for himself, but the entire situation was disappointing and heartbreaking. Management should do a better job of encouraging empathy and treating people with dignity. No one should be made to feel unwelcome for asking for water on a hot day. read more

The corporate leads at BK and Impossible Burger central must not have accounted for Richmond, CA when it came to marketing and selling the new Impossible Burger. Used the BK app to buy the $7 Impossible comparison (1 beef Whopper, 1 Impossible Whopper). Beef Whopper was as I remembered, somewhat juicy flame-scented beef under a blanket of ketchup and mayo. The comparison? The Impossible Burger didn't quite measure up. At first glance, the Impossible patty itself seemed severely overcooked compared to animal beef, and it proved just as dry on consumption, precluding experience of the vegetable-heme juices. Flavor was interesting, with a nutty/mushroomy flavor not present in beef. Overall, yes, it did taste like meat - it evoked a public school food service hamburger. Overall, not sure if we should write off the BK Impossible Burger, or just write off Richmond's BK as the place to buy one. Let me preface this review by saying that it is specifically for THIS location on MacDonald Only! I brought the kids to Kaiser for their Flu and Covid shots at the Richmond facility and they were hungry so we stopped off to just grab some burger and fries. We were all going to go inside and order since we had 2 coupons we wanted to use BUT the doors were locked!!! So we got back into the car and got in line for the drive-thru. Once we got up to the order microphone my husband told the guy he had a coupon and gave him the code # - no problem he's done that at all the other Burger Kings too. Now when he tried to tell him we had a 2nd coupon we wanted to use he wouldn't allow it stating it was ONLY 1 coupon per vehicle BUT we told him the doors were locked!! He argued and said that they weren't and then said that ONLY 1 door was locked and that we had to use the OTHER DOOR!‍ So as we were waiting for the order in drive-thru I decided to go ahead and go inside and put the other order in using the 2nd coupon! This time the door WAS open and I was in line behind 1 other person. After that transaction was completed the cashier LEAVES to start doing other things and talking in Spanish to her co-workers. I'm left STANDING THERE without any "hello", "I'll be right with you" NOTHING for a good 10-15 minutes Then when she does finally utter "how can I help you?" and BEFORE I can even RESPOND she's already turned her head to the side and speaking SPANISH to her co-worker who's standing next to her!!!! I told her that we just put an order in through the drive-thru doing JUST THAT without any issues and she wasn't budging!! How stupid and stubborn when all the OTHER establishments that we've gone to have NO ISSUES doing it this way! I would've left only 1 but decided on giving the 2nd since the guy at the drive-thru DID allow us to use the coupon with just the code # without any hassle!
