The last time I was there was about 3 years ago....absolutely horrible. I saw the employees and managers sitting on the counters. One of the employees used the bathroom. And they did not wash their hands, and that's gross then they're handling food. I would recommend this place to be shut down. They need to have stricter rules with their employees and management and not just be letting them be filthy. Their place is also filthy. This place has got to get updated. A Burger King right off the highway like this one, should have been updated with infrastructure incentive money during the pandemic shutdown. People have scraped their cars on the drive thru arch and it's very broken and rutty looking. Torrington has several areas to update but this location does not have the appropriate appeal for local residents or travelers. There a few great hard working people there but you lose good workers when they feel like they are working at a place that generally managers and owners don't care about. I think the building is built amazingly. The fact that the structure is sturdy enough to withstand two car crashes within 3 months is nothing short of impressive. I've never seen a building more resilitent to the damages of a thousand-pound destruction machine. The building must be magic to be able to power through not only one, but two warpaths from those manical, conniving vehicles that threatened its very being in two well-planned attacks. TL;DR: The building works fantastic as a net to catch cars with shot brakes. Highly recommend. Just make sure not to hurt any of the staff. Even if Mary isn't there to control the staff anymore, please be curtious. read more

Stopped here to begin our road trip and was greeted by very friendly staff. The food is as expected for a BK, but it was made fresh and served with a smile. Burger "king" without burgers? -They sent me to the parking lot and made me wait 15 minutes. When they did drip off my food they handed it without a receipt and ran inside so I couldn't take the survey. -They charged me for a large and gave me a medium. -the second visit the whopper Jr was literally as cold as a refrigerator. Went inside around 9PM on a Thursday and Mike and the crew were nice and friendly and helped me with my 2/$5 order, even read menu to me. I'm 70 with bad eyes and hearing. I've been ordering from here for the past 6 months pretty regularly, and the food's not half as bad. I've heard some things and my boyfriend's had bad experiences here himself, but since I hadn't experienced anything out of the ordinary, I didn't pay much mind to it. Suffice it to say, today HE went to BK to get us some food, and this was the result.. THIS is what they consider a nice "burger". In the picture attached, it looks like the patty was either eaten by an animal, or they didn't finish preparing it right.. Not to mention most of the employees' ATTITUDES. Ugh. Like please, give us MORE reasons to wanna avoid you and Burger King. Ever. Also - my boyfriend's found hair in his food, he's been inside and he's said that they don't wear any hair caps, which explains why he found the hair in his food the last time, and he gets mocked/given an attitude because of his accent. Okay 1st off the Restaurant isn't open only drive thru, it really sucks cause it's so damn slow. We waited 15 minutes after placing a order only 1 truck ahead of us and no one behind us... Burger king might be the worst fast food restaurant chain in history every time I come here they always mess up my chicken sandwich order and make the bun very burnt and also every time I order a whopper, it is the driest thing I have ever eaten and is dryer than a Popeyes biscuit. Went in last night (New Years Eve). Was pretty ghetto, girl at counter was eating fries out of the fry basket, people talking about inappropriate stuff loudly (what's in various drugs). Girl couldn't remember the name of my hubs burger (rodeo stack), called it a "spongy". So obviously we didn't have much hope in our food. To our surprise, food was excellent. It was Father's Day, 2013 and my daughter wanted to buy me lunch. Walking into this BK location, we were warned by a customer not to walk in this specific area by the soda machines. It was so filthy and wet from spillage that the sticky liquid was literally bubbling between the cracks of the floor tiles. No one working cared about the mess nor was there any indication it would be cleaned any time soon. We placed our order. The person taking the order wasn't pleasant and really made us feel like we were doing her a disservice being there. When the meal arrived we ventured out to an empty table. We were hard pressed in finding one that was clean enough to eat off of. It was really a disgusting place. I'll not be going back to this location. The older woman who appeared to be the manager was wrist deep in shredded lettuce... preparing sandwiches and was not concerned that the fry containers were exposed to the public on a tray, being played with my children. I was there on Monday, a different fast food then I normally get for my family. We also generally enjoy the 2/$5 original chicken. I placed my order that included onion rings, gave me my total and I proceeded to the window for the woman to tell me a different price and when I questioned it she stated "we ran out of onion rings" she didn't even offer a replacement or ask if I wanted something else. I've worked in food service for 20 years most of it fast food and I've always offered a replacement if I was out of something and was much more polite. Torrington Burger King. This place is a question mark and a half. When you come here, it's like playing Russian roulette. Sometimes your food is warm, sometimes it's ice cold. Sometimes your food is on point, sometimes it's burnt. The staff tries to keep the place clean or least it looks like it but it really needs a renovation. The worst part is getting criticized for wanting a water. I don't drink soda often but when I ask for a cup of water, I get 20 questioned about not getting a soda. I even say "you can fill it up for me" but they usually just throw the cup onto the counter and then stalk you while you fill your cup up with water. There's times I walk in there with a suit on and still get criticized. It makes myself feel displeased and very uncomfortable. It's the only Burger King around so go late night through the drive thru, if you can even fit through it. read more
