The delivery came well before the estimated time. We ordered chicken nuggets, a hot and crispy chicken sandwich and two cans of soda. They forgot the soda, but as soon as I let them know they came back right away, I also received a quesadilla instead of the sandwich they made sure to bring that and correct the order, talk about good customer service! I will definitely order from there again, they clearly make sure to make the customer happy. I've gotten food from here before and haven't run into any issues previously so in my experience, I think the mess up was a fluke, which doesn't matter to me because they corrected it and quickly. read more

Do NOT eat here! First of all, the food was crap, it was cold and sweaty and totally unappealing by the time it got here (15 minutes after it was supposed to). Honestly I would have given it 2 or 3 stars....if we hadn't found the long hair we pulled out of our burger. However, things got worse. We called to complain and asked to speak to the owner. The guy Vernon got on the phone and we politely explained what happened and he started screaming and swearing at me calling me a liar and saying there is no one with long hair that works there. After being a sporadic customer with no complaints over the last four years, I called to place e a delivery order this evening where I was rudely told (for no apparent reason) that I was not to be served and then promptly hung up on. When I went to call back, no one would answer, and when I contacted them via Facebook, I got a very nonchalant "try again next year". You get warm-frozen breaded chicken tenders of the very worst variety, like something reheated out of a gas station deep-freezer. This place is a welcome change to take out. The burgers aren't about the beef, that's pretty standard however the type of burger is what makes it. I got the dill burger and it was heaped with pickles. I expected a little more than usual but this was definitely all about the pickles and it was really good. My fiance got a bacon one and man that wasn't a lie either. The fries were delivered so you expect them to be soggy but they were crisp and it was really quick. BTW the buffalo fries and parm fries are really good. Looking forward to eating there again. read more

This restaurant is run by UNPROFESSIONAL management. When there is an issue, there is no manager is around. The staff is clueless to what they are doing. The food is terrible. I ordered from them 3 times just because I like to give restaurants fair chances. The "chicken tenders" are more like chicken nuggets which is a big difference. The chicken didn't taste good and the ranch dressing tasted very sour. I made a complaint, they gave me the manager cell phone number since he's never there and he was a complete asshole over the phone smh just over all terrible customer service. So please be aware if you order from this restaurant they is a no refund policy which is understandable BUT just know that they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to make your experience better. We stopped by here after my daughter had a summer league basketball game. There were eight of us in our party. My family ordered after the other family we were with. The family we were with got their food and finished. We still didn't have our food.We waited 58 minutes for our food. After, waiting so long I decided to take it home because it was getting dark and the neighborhood is scary during the day let alone when the sun goes down. There were a lot of people just hanging out in the front of the place and the stench of marijuana was potent. Which was less than desirable with four children with us. After, arriving home and taking our food out of the bag it was so soggy and greasy we could not eat any of it. We were left hungry and out $46.00. I'm from Galveston Texas. I recently located to Torrington for my husband's job. He's building the first two wind turbines in the state. I found Lates Delivery right after arriving in Torrington, and I have to say, I'm very happy and pleased I did so. Lates has some of the best burgers, BLTs, and side orders that I've ever had. I love Torrington, and I love Lates. I highly recommend it. I've tried several items from their menu. I like the BLT grinder with avocado. It's declious. I also like the mushroom avocado burger. The Hobo burger, the big pickle burger, and the trash burger is also the bomb! read more

I tried lates after coming back from a concert. It was one of the few places open at the time and they deliver so I agreed to give it a try. I got a Mac and cheese burger. It was nothing special, and it's $8.50. I've never paid $8.50 for a burger in my life that didn't come with fries. I am pretty disappointed with the prices. They also charged an extra $0.75 for using a credit card. What century are we in? The food wasn't bad, but I will be going to TwinCo instead next time. Not worth the price in my opinion. read more

I lived in Litchfield County most my life and Torrington has its share of "good" take out food options. We ran across Late's on a Saturday afternoon. It's off the main drag behind some of the higher end restaurants in town. We only noticed it because there was a small sign while waiting at the stop light on Main St. getting ready to turn right onto East Main. So instead of turning right onto East Main we took the hard right onto Franklin St and did a drive by of Late's. There were are number of folks streaming in and out of the small establishment conjuring up enough interest for us to look it up online once we got home. I ask my son and his friend if they'd ever eaten there and my son's friend said he and his dad ate there "all the time" and that the food was great. That was all the endorsement I needed to at least try it out. We ordered (3) take out meals to deliver to us in Harwinton. My son ordered the Mac N Cheese burger, I ordered the "Classic" Cheeseburger and my wife ordered the "Blondie" - Grilled Chicken Wrap. We also ordered a side of Sweet Potato Fries. From the time we ordered till the time it all arrived was about 45 minutes. The food was well wrapped in foiled and arrived at a good temperature (except for the fries ~ they should have wrapped them in foil ~ next time). In any case, starting with the burgers, they were BIG and Juicy! Fantastic flavor. This was not frozen patty but fresh beef (if not, they sure fooled us). The Grilled Wrap was equally tasty. I have to say the food exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Late's Take Out might be the best kept secret in T-Town. But we are going to spread the word! Check this place out. So I was going to take back my review because we decided to give lates ONE more chance but ..... once again I'm sitting here nauseous. I ordered a burger and it was actually pretty good besides when I got to the middle of the burger I bit into a giant hair ...anddddd that's the end of that. I called to tell them and see what they can do and she replied by laughing and saying oh no ...while laughing .... as I'm sitting here trying not to get sick. She says we can make another one for you. No thanks..I asked to speak to a manager and I could hear the girls laughing in the background, the young girl who delivered the food picked up the phone (clearly not the manager). Whoever the manager is should learn some customer service skills and teach them to their staff. I usually order 1x a week , I call around 5pm when they open and pick up about 45 minutes later .They do deliver in Torrington , its always busy , I love the mac and cheese burger and trash burger (spicy) , chicken wrap, fire in the hole(spicy) and chicken cranberry salad or chicken mozzarella salad is tasty and greens fresh.
