If all the seats are filled, just be patient and hang out by the door, something will open up soon. If you need seats together, it is not unusual to see a whole row of customers get up and shift their seats around to make room for you. That's just what you do because it's the right thing to do. Very Wayland. You'll also want to prepare yourself for small talk. When you sit at the counter, it's more like sitting at a giant dinner table in your kitchen at home.
