A long jalapeño stem inside my burger

They placed a long jalapeño stem inside my burger 04/06/24 8:30pm While eating my burger ,i felt something hard . be careful next time , could have been a kid eating!

Yum. Small burger I got from ordering in the drive thru. Speedy service. I ate the burger and survived.

Well on my mini road trip, I got hangry. My destination taco truck in Winters was experiencing a great day... the line had more people than the population of the town (not really, it just seemed like that). So I had to refocus and pick another place for a quick protein nosh. I recall seeing a BK off interstate 505. Off I go. In little itty bitty town of Winters, the BK is right off Interstate 505 off East Grant Avenue. It is right next door to the Arco gas station. It's across the street from the brand new stand alone Starbucks. I didn't go inside, I ordered a small burger and fries in the drive thru. It was a Saturday mid afternoon. The menu board was organized in a way that was easy to read. The cashier was polite and patient. We got our food quickly and accurately. I had the small burger and fries. The patty and overall burger tasted good. The fries were hot and crispy. I ate the food... I'm writing this review the next day. I survived. I suffered no ill effects after eating the food.

My mind must have been made of sludge when I came in from the heat, otherwise, if I had my scruples intact, I would have bolted out immediately. How's this for a red flag: The customer in the line ahead of me ordered a fountain drink. Now the employee is some eager but thoughtless 18-year old kid happy to have the job, except when he hands the customer a drink cup he sticks his thumb (and hand) all up the inside of this cup; keep in mind he's been punching buttons on a punch-key register all afternoon. Obviously, I knew not to order a drink. But Christ, look around me, it's the lack of integrity at this location. Litter on every table and cup station. Aged dried ketchup on counter. It's not pretty. Now you managers and corporate PR people, please don't message me about my experience and give me an apology and ask me if I think you should fire the 18-year old kid (no, just train and instruct him better), and ask me to fill out a questionaire. Oh my God, I won't. Bother me, and I'll rewrite the review to tell you how awfully unthawed the bun was. Why did I come in, you ask? I was hungry, and there was not much else. #catastrophe

I'm appreciative that we now have another fast food option in Winters however I would suggest that all employees go through better training.

My husband, sister & I had the pleasure of stopping by here during the Winters St Patty's Bar Crawl…read moreon Sat around 7pm. We decided to just sit at the bar so we could see the operation in action. My husband enjoyed a Bacon Dog Combo $13, which actually included Fries, and you could add a beer so he got a Tall can of Berryessa Hazy Double Tap for only $4 extra, which was incredible. My sister did the same thing but went with a Cheeseburger Combo $13 plus $4 for a Tall can of Berryessa Hazy Double Tap. Personally I wasn't hungry myself, so I just had a Tall can of Berryessa Hazy Double Tap $7, and snacked on their yummy french fries w/ Ranch. We enjoyed everything so much I asked our server to call the manager (owner) over to thank him.

Well, I took my daughter, her husband, and my grandkids here to try it out for ourselves. We ordered several burgers, a hot dog, and various styles of fries. The burgers were definitely good, but I certainly wouldn't rank them among the best burgers I've eaten. The hot dog was also good. The fries, though, are really good. The texture, temperature, and flavor are all excellent. I upgraded a couple orders of fries and I'm not sure the amount of cheese, bacon, and grilled onions was enough to warrant the fee associated with the upgrade. The fries themselves are satisfying enough in my opinion. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. The place is decorated kind of like a cross between Five Guys and In-N-Out. Overall, it was good and I won't avoid the place.

It was not surprisingly packed for a Saturday night and I think one or two other families were celebrating birthdays. We started off with Tri Tip Tot-chos and they were deliciously addicting. So much we ended up eating half our dinner and taking the rest home. The tri tip had great flavor to go along with the crispy tots. The boneless ribeyes were so great! Nicely seared on both sides amd seasoned perfect. Tender to the cut and bite. Buckhorn is a restaurant I know I can come to and get great quality steak in a consistent basis. Hope to be back there sooner than later... and I'll definitely order those Tot-chos again.

The wagyu had a richness that's hard to find, and the ribeye held its own right alongside it. The sourdough bread as a side was simple but really good -- don't skip it. We also had a chance to try a couple different wines before committing, which our server made easy and relaxed. The staff was friendly and patient the whole night. We took our time figuring out what to order and nobody made us feel rushed -- they came back to the table multiple times without any pressure. We were there to celebrate an accomplishment and the atmosphere fit the occasion well. On a previous visit the German potato soup was one of the best I've had, and it's still something I think about. Already planning to come back.

We had about a 10-15 minute wait, which honestly wasn't bad considering how busy they were. The menu had a lot of great-looking options. Two friends ordered the chicken fried steak, another ordered a veggie/Mediterranean-style omelet, and I had the carnitas huevos rancheros since I'm gluten-free. Portions were generous and the food was good, though not necessarily something I'd rave about. The biggest issue during our visit was the service. Drinks and ordering started off fine, but when the food came out only two of the four meals arrived. My friend and I ended up waiting quite a while longer and had to flag someone down to check on our meals. We were told the ticket must have gotten mixed up and our food would be out shortly. By the time our dishes arrived, our other friends were basically done eating. One side order was also forgotten. To their credit, they did remove that item and gave us 50% off the delayed dishes, which we appreciated. I completely understand that busy restaurants can get hectic, but better communication and table follow-up would have made a huge difference. Overall, cute spot with decent food and good portions -- just hoping the service experience improves.

It was early, around 4:00 p.m., and there were only two people dining inside. They agreed and eventually placed two tables together indoors. My thought was, why was this not offered from the beginning, especially given the heat and how empty the restaurant was? The ambiance was great, but unfortunately, the food was not. I ordered a salad with chicken. The salad was very skimpy, with only two thin slices of apple, two small orange slices, very little feta, and mostly lettuce. The chicken portion was extremely small and was served separately on a plate rather than sliced and placed on the salad as ordered. The other dishes were also small and underwhelming. The burger and fries were nothing special, and the spaghetti was plain and lacked flavor. If you are looking for great ambiance, this may be a nice place to visit. But if you are looking for great food, you may want to consider other options. For a great burger, I would recommend Buckhorn instead. It costs less and is much better.
