Normally, THIS location would be deemed 4 stars, but to begin with the building is so gloomy and dim from the outside as it's EASY to pass this address right by. The only way I knew it was BK was because of the take out menu (only fixture brightly lit up). I had an online Whopper coupon that I couldn't successfully redeem here as they couldn't view a code #. At first, they told me to park then enter the store. Having my dog in the car, this wasn't an option. Told her "I DO want to order other items". She was quick to dismiss. At the window, I showed her my online coupon. She said "it's not in our system yet -- can't use" what?! It had ten remaining days til expiration. Poor customer service , non accommodating. The new restaurant is clean. That's about all the positive comments I have for them. The person at the counter did not communicate well and even though my receipt stated cheese with no onions , my whopper can with NO cheese and onions. There is not a soda station and they do not offer soda refills at the counter. They keeo the salt behind the counter so you have to ask and then they give you one. The service was horrible. id never been to such a pity ambiance. they messed up my food. I ordered a normal whooper and they gave me a whopper w no onion, no pickles, and no cheese. not only that, they messed up my drink, I ordered orange juice and they gave me a lemonade (I guess they ran out of oranges and used a lemon instead) Lastly, I ordered a coffee too and she never gave me it until I reminded her at the end. instead of giving me my coffee, at first, she called me a liar and didn't give me my coffee untill I showed my receipt. Hands down the worst BK I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. Unfortunately the issues are a collection from multiple visits. 1. They don't like COUPONS here. Even from the BK app. Management/ownership has clearly instructed the workers here to do everything and anything possible to refuse the use of any type of coupon code or discount. This includes: Pretending to not understand the language (English), pretending not to understand what a "coupon code" is, pretending that the coupon isn't valid, pretending to not hear you, telling you to drive around and then telling you the coupon code has to be told at the intercom, refusing to let you use two coupons or one coupon twice (this is the only location that's ever done this), taking your phone to examine the coupon code and inspect to see if it's a screenshot, harassing kids trying to use a code, claiming their scanner is broken and best of all, tweaking the app settings so that this store shows up as CLOSED which precludes you from using the app or any app coupon codes. And then worst of all, lying about it. 2. The workers don't speak the same language as me. Xenophobic much? Nah, not quite. I love other cultures. But would you go to France and tell the manager of the local Burger King to hire English speaking workers instead of French speaking workers? Of course not. Why? Because it's France. The national language is French. When I travel to Paris, Nice or Montreal, I brush up on my French so I can communicate effectively. In a million years I wouldn't expect to get a job at the Burger King in Montreal without speaking fluent French. Would you? Same thing. The customers in Yorktown are primarily English speakers. Would it kill BK to do some local outreach and hire some local high school kids at $14/hr ($29k/year) to work here? Also, not a single African American worker in sight. Which begs the question: Who is doing the hiring around here? 3. The workers here -- from the management to the cashiers -- just aren't friendly. They don't greet you, thank you, or say goodbye. It's one step below automated robots because at least I can understand Alexa and if I thank her, she says 'You're welcome' (Ok, she plays Marcy Playground, but at least she can blame me for speaking French). read more

Food was So Fresh & Delicious! Fast food should generally be but not always is it! Here i give it the 5 stars bc they weren't busy but the food was being pushed (hit&fresh) like they were! But really it's just like any other BK that I have been to, slow & short in employees. The drive-thru manager was working both the counter & drive through! The counter employees were new & newish...watching them in action was similar to watching an episode of Beavis & Butthead ! I'm so sorry to had to do that comparison but it's true...for example 1 employee was training the other on how to change a trash bag and he tells him "tie the bag on the side of the can, the way to do that is, you take the bag & loop it around two fingers & pull through" idk what the 2nd employee heard but he got his wrist stuck in the loop!! Had a bad experience today. Gave my order at the drive- through, the girl misunderstood my order. When I get to payment window and have food passed over, I wait for the rest of my order, girl says that's my order. She got my order all wrong, then told an older man there, possibly supervisor or manager, that I wasn't sure of my order. I spoke to her in English and I think she may not understood. I am Hispanic myself, and I clearly see that she didn't understand English well. The supervisor/manager decided to say to me that "next time you need to learn how to place an order, in Spanish as well. we went there to try the new Steak sandwich and a fry. I ordered the steak sandwich and they gave us 2 whopper burgers on 1 bun with 2 small piece of bacon and 1 slice of cheese for a total of 12.55. I've been here a couple times and usually buy just a cheeseburger meal and it's been decent enough. I went to Yorktown to try the pretzel bacon king sandwich in particular. Received the food pretty quick and sat down and wasn't impressed. I've tasted fast food that was excellent, some average and some not good. This wasn't good, but took a few more bites and it didn't get better. The fries were good. I thought about seeing if I could get a different sandwich but I didn't. When I visit mom, we always pick up a few whoppers and fries at BK in Yorktown. This must be under new management in the last year or more, because they give excellent CS, PERFECT WHOPPERS and good fries. The lettuce is always fresh and crisp, same with tomatoes and lots of pickles. Once in a blue they won't be as hot as they should be, but even that is forgivable because they still taste better than they use to. Nice and fresh and seem to care about their customers. I won't be going back to this location. Years ago you couldn't go through the drive-through without an error in your order however they seem to have improved service over the past 1-2 years. Unfortunately a few months back I stopped by to grab a breakfast meal and found a fried fly in my hash browns.
