We looked for a restaurant not far from Caramoor, where we were seeing a concert at 7:30 PM last night, and this was a fairly good choice (on Yelp's recommendation) that worked out well. They seemed to have as much outdoor as indoor seating, sufficient parking in a mini-mall, location in a somewhat upscale neighborhood, a small bar area as you walk in with a TV, and clean bathrooms. Service was friendly and accomodating, and the bartender even stopped by, while my wife was in the ladies room, to fold her cloth napkin and place it back on the wooden table. There were limited, but sufficient dinner choices. My wife had mussells in an onion and white wine broth and she substituted a side salad (mostly lettuce) for the fried potatoes on the menu. With that, she had a glass of "sangria," which appeared to be a rosé wine without clumps of fruit. I had the seared cod served (a la mode) above a pile of 3 french fries, 3 green beans, and a child's handful of spinach. With that I had a glass of German reisling white wine. For dessert, we just had decaf cappuccinos. Both the food and drink were very good. The portions weren't very generous, but just enough. read more

What a wonderful little family run restaurant. It's a go-to neighborhood kind of place - with lots of delicious foods, beer and full bar. The bar is small (we wished it were bigger) but the spacious dining room and patio are just fine. The stuffed brie pretzels set my weight loss goal back weeks! Then the buffalo cauliflower... Are here for the first time, and I am wondering why I haven't been here sooner when I live near by. The staff were welcoming and pleasant, the place is clean and tidy with lots of space. The food, was amazing ! I cannot say enough about everything we had, we will be back to try the rest of the menu. What a great family owned restaurant. Outstanding service and great food. I enjoyed the simple but satisfying menu. The leek and potato soup was delicious. A special that was a hit on Valentines Date was the tuna tartare truly wonderful. We enjoyed the Mikes meatloaf, French chicken and burger. Sides were nicely portioned. This is a fantastic local addition. I first came here for a whiskey tasting event and was impressed with the bar, the dining area, and the menu. I decided to bring the family for brunch on the weekend and our expectations were significantly exceeded. Melanie was incredibly personable and accommodating. The food came out with a perfect pace and she was very attentive to all her tables. We had the buffalo wings, New England clam chowder, English breakfast, Cappuccino and coffee, Fish tacos, and the Turkey Sammy. Wings were big, crispy, juicy, and spicy. They give you wet naps and extra napkins. They will be needed. Beware there are beans in the English breakfast - in case you don't have the ability to open your car windows on the way home. So, I've only eaten here once, but it was quite good. The waitstaff was more than attentive, the food and coffee were excellent, I plan to return! this spot has been blessed with some fantastic restaurants, used to come to the original restaurant quite often, can't remember the name at the moment, but it was a fantastic Italian place. This is a wonderful gem! Family friendly with menu items for almost any taste. I have multiple food allergies and often have very little menu choices at other restaurants. The waitress was very knowledgeable about ingredients and checked with the chef to make sure all would be ok . The food was great from appetizers to the main meal..... too full for dessert! What a stop! Wow, will totally (again) take a short detour off the Taconic for Our Place! Mark D was our server and he had GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS and we were so happy we followed them! Brie stuffed pretzel with jam. Yum. Loved the Chicken thigh fried sandwich with salad. The Dressing on salad had to be home made. Fresh/light squeezed lemon. Steak sandwich with tots delicious! HORRIFIC FOOD POISONING. On 12/26, our family stopped at Our Place while traveling to NYC for holiday. My wife and I split the Grilled Turkey Sammy and within a few hours of eating it, were both hit with the most horrific case of food poisoning we've ever experience in our lives. Fever, chills, cold sweats, uncontrollable vomiting, and extreme bowl movements for over 12 HOURS until EVERYTHING was out. We missed the entire holiday weekend and had to fly (6 hours) while still experiencing lingering symptoms. To be clear, this was not norovirus as we'd been completely isolated in a cabin the days prior. The first and only place we stopped and ate at was Our Place. So if what I've described is the kind of experience you are looking for, eat here. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend coming withing 10 miles of this restaurant. For the manager, if you're reading this, your poor safety standards cost us our holiday, time with our families, travel expenses, and an immeasurable amount of suffering. This review will stand as a warning to others to not patronize your establishment. There is no excuse and no one else should have to go through what we did. DO NOT EAT HERE. read more

Cozy place with a bar and a patio for use in the nice weather. Polite and friendly wait staff, knew the menu and made suggestions. I appreciate service with a smile. Varied menu including a few gluten free options. This evening some comfort food was needed. What better than Chicken Pot Pie, and Beef Stroganoff? The pot pie was a big portion of goodness! Perfect crust and the filling was creamy and full of chicken and the usual vegetables. The stroganoff was a large portion as well. The beef was perfectly done and the gravy was just delicious. This place is new to the area and made a great first impression on our visit for dinner last night. It's a very welcoming atmosphere. The layout of the restaurant is pretty much the same as the previous occupants but everything just looks updated and nicer. They have a few very good local beers on tap and clearly have someone behind the bar who is adept to mixology because my wife's cocktail was very good. For starters we had Buffalo cauliflower. It was a nice serving of fried cauliflower lightly battered with a rich buffalo sauce and blue cheese for dipping. I got the fried chicken sandwich which was excellent and my wife got the roasted chicken entree. Not only was this roasted chicken tender and delicious, the serving was presented beautifully and I let our server know that I thought so. I like when a place that isn't fine dining takes pride in presentation like that. On top of the terrific food and drink, the staff here is top notch. So friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We went last night for dinner. Inside is very homey and comfortable. We drank the house cocktails and they were very good. 2 burgers, fish taco and chicken pot pie. Burgers were very tasty, fish tacos good, my wife did not like the chicken pot pie. The top should be crusty and brown. This top was not cooked. The inside was soupy and bland. For the first time we went to our place last Saturday. We tried the fish and chips which were hot and crispy and quite a large portion coming with fries and two large pieces of fish. I called to see if they had a kids menu and the person who I spoke with was incredibly helpful and kind. We arrived that evening to our table all set up with two high chairs. They were incredible accommodating to the kids in our group, even presenting my daughter with a binder of print outs for her to choose from to color. What an incredibly hospitable touch. Their kids menu is really good as well. Literally every person who we spoke with, from our waitress (who was a gem) to the runners, were so kind and helpful. For the food - we started with wings which were very good. The rest of our food was good! Pretty standard American fare. I came here with my family for my cousin's 16th birthday and my grandpa's 91st birthday. We were immediately given the warmest welcome upon arrival and from the get go everyone was so kind and accommodating. The restaurant is wheelchair and walker accessible so it was easy for my grandpa to come in. The menu also has a list of really good items. I was tempted to order everything. I got to try the fried cauliflower, the Korean wings, the buffalo wings, the corn dip, and the warm pretzel stuffed with brie. The brie melted on the pretzel was warm and paired nicely with the fig jam. The chicken was breaded and seasoned perfectly and the cauliflower with the sauce was perfectly creamy and spicy. They also gave me a lot of lemon slices when I asked. For my entree I ordered the burger with a fried egg on top. The patty tasted a little burnt but the middle was rare and perfect. I also loved how nicely the cheese was melted on top. Overall I loved the experience and they were great to us. If you want the best service and good food you need to come here. There's a saying written on the wall that says make our place your place. Ive never ordered from a restaurant that feels like genuine home cooking but it brings a whole new meaning to mi casa su casa. read more

We were sitting next to a super loud couple and their two iPad watching kids who were apparently friends with the owner so they had zero sense of the fact that we really didn't want to be part of their show. Our first time here and it will not be our last. Very cute and cozy space. We started out with drinks, draft beer and pear cocktail-delish. We had the corn elite dip and the Brie filled pretzels.
