I hadn't been to this restaurant in years, so we figured we'd give it another shot. We started off with just water, planning to order drinks with our meal. But after the food came out, our server pretty much disappeared. We wanted to order drinks, but he didn't come back until he asked about dessert. Meanwhile, he was helping other tables nearby, but we couldn't get his attention. Once we finished eating, we sat for about 30 minutes before we finally managed to ask for the bill. It wasn't even our server who handled the payment--it was someone who seemed like a manager. When he asked how everything was, I explained the issues with the service, but he was mostly focused on whether we liked the food and mentioned they were short-staffed. Honestly, it felt like he wasn't really listening. It was disappointing, especially since our server started off strong. But with the lack of attention and the way management handled it, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

We went to The Gramercy after the Yorktown Christmas parade, which ended up running longer than expected, so we had to push our reservation back a bit, and they were very accommodating, which we really appreciated. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas -- warm, festive, and perfect for the season. Service was solid throughout the meal, and the food was very good. The menu leans classic American with some good options, though I did find it a bit limited overall. That said, what we ordered was well executed and enjoyable. This is definitely one of the nicer, higher-end spots in the area, making it a great choice when you're looking for something that feels more like a night out rather than a casual meal. First time here and won't be my last. Located behind "Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace," on Kear St., they have a beautiful bar and restaurant worth stopping by for a drink and/or some delicious food. Had my son's confirmation party here yesterday and from the first contact via email about a month ago until yesterday, nothing but the best. JT was extremely accommodating from day 1. Worked with us in every aspect from menu planning to table decorating. He allowed us to drop stuff off the night before and he and his staff set everything up for us. The food was amazing! Plentiful, fresh and delicious. The service impeccable. Again accommodating and courteous. They never rushed us for one second even when it was close to dinner time. We had the couple appetizers I had the angel head, shrimp, tomato, and supposed to have asparagus, but I don't like asparagus so I told him no, but it was really good. Cozy atmosphere with experienced waitstaff. Their complimentary puffy boa like buns with creamy mascarpone cheese are off the hook great. You get 4, but could easily eat two each. The shared appetizer of endive and duck salad ($17) was a meal highlight. The boats of endive with tender crumbs of duck and a poppy creamy slaw produced a delicious flavor. The filet frites ($42) was perfectly cooked medium and is a high quality steak. The crispy frites were perfect shoestring potatoes. They do offer sauces but I'd have preferred a small portion (3 tablespoons) of sautéed mushrooms or hericot verts. It would have made the dish more interesting. The parpadelle $24, with pesto and artichoke and grilled tender chicken was very good, but not al dente - it was a bit overcooked. This dish also needs some texture like pine nuts or toasted panko. Wine and beer prices are in line. Overall- a nice meal. It Just needs a special gourmet touch to make it more memorable. read more

Truly no complaints whatsoever! Our party of 11 came to The Gramercy after another local restaurant so rudely dismissed us over the phone (but oddly accepted our res request online), and I am so glad we did! Forget that other "Place" with the bad attitude - The Gramercy is where it's at! They had no problem accommodating our party, even on a Saturday evening, and couldn't have been kinder or more gracious from start to finish. Staff is attentive and personable, and put up with our party's multiple kids and their (sometimes) annoying requests with friendliness and smiles. The space itself is fairly large and open, but very welcoming! We sat at a long table in an alcove towards the back of the restaurant, and it felt like it could be someone's cozy dining room- albeit very smartly decorated. Bread was a warm rosemary focaccia alongside a mascarpone spread with pignoli nuts and garlic, and I could've eaten that for dinner it was so good. From there we had fried calamari and a hot spinach dip - both incredible. Our mains ranged from a perfectly cooked filet, to moules in an outrageous broth, to Mac and cheese (guess who), burgers, salads and veal ragù. Everything was delicious. When one of our pickier eaters didn't like her Mac and cheese, our waiter promptly put in and got out an additional meal order in no time at all - so very much appreciated! They were kind enough to put a candle in our dessert for the birthday gal with us and cocktails were delicious and thoughtfully designed. Our one problem is that we don't live closer. When we're back in town, The Gramercy will be first on our list - it should be first on yours too! read more

This restaurant is about the best in Yorktown Heights. Yes, it's pricey, but I'd say the experience is well worth it. Their meat is beyond anything else iv had locally, the decor is flawless. Last night we had one of the best dining experiences we've had anywhere in Westchester or New York City at The Gramercy. Our waiter Chris, was truly exceptional a gentleman and a master of his craft. The recommendations were spot-on, the service was seamless, and the level of professionalism is something you rarely see anymore. It elevated the entire evening. The chef deserves serious recognition as well. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had, and the hamburger may very well be the best burger I've eaten. Every detail was executed perfectly. This specific time we hadn't been for at least a few months. There is always a consistently kind (and many times the same) service and good food. Dishes of note include Duck Fat Potatoes Carrots, Carrot Cake, The Gramercy Lobster Cobb Salad, French Onion Soup, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, and Lobster Bisque. Vegetarian options are also available. The Head chef Greg is exceptional. The gastronomic experience was truly outstanding. We dined on a Friday evening and enjoyed live music from a jazz band. The restaurant offers Happy Hour Specials at the bar. The menu caters to a range of tastes. I highly recommend this restaurant. We had a fantastic time. The staff was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and prompt in serving drinks and a selection of delicious bread with hummus. Best Paella I've ever had! Twice!! Both times, same place. I've ordered plenty at many restaurants, I love tapas, and yet The Gramercy paella beats the masters. No clams and no chicken which made it so much BETTER than the usual medley. It had a lobster tail, a never ending amount of mussels, shrimp, calamari and chorizo. They spent a lot of money but got an average designer with average creativity but for Yorktown, it's as good as you're going to get. I used to love this restaurant but after last night, will never go back! Crab cake was cold on the inside, so clearly not freshly made. When I told the wait staff, no one apologized or showed any concern. Then my chicken cutlet had bones in it, and the mushroom sauce was very thick and gloppy. We've been there many times and have always loved the food, no holds barred. Last night was the first time we've been disappointed. The appetizer, tuna tartare with yogurt and avocado ($19) featured about two tablespoons [maybe less] of diced tuna and perhaps 4 oz. of plain yogurt, a couple of spoonfuls of mashed guacamole...and NO seasoning! Some wasabi and/or ginger would have helped the taste a lot! In fact, it was supposed to have some soy sauce, which was MIA. It came with (homemade) potato chips to use as a dipper. But mostly, we were disappointed in how little tuna was included. The rest of our dinner was fine -- a duck cassoulet that was awesome as always. (Although some bread to sop up the delicious sauce would have been nice, and no, we didn't request some). We'll go back, certainly, but avoid what sounded on paper as a great starter. read more

Strange response, but not biggie now we have more options. Dinner turned out to take 2+ hours, and our waiter only came to our table four times including introducing himself and bringing the check. Our first round of drinks and appetizers came out in a timely manner but after that it took an hour and a half for our entrees to come. They were busy but not slammed. Table that were seated after us received their meals before us and no one came to let us know why we were waiting so long. Came here with my husband and son and we enjoyed the ambiance and everything we ordered. The restaurant gives me a Great Gasby vibe, love the decor. From the first interaction with the bartender to the owner, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. It was Mother's Day so the waiter brought over a glass of champagne, great touch!We started off with the calamari, perfectly breaded. My husband fell in love with the bread and the dip that accompanied it, we had to take some home. Our first visit to the new & hot space that one was Kirbys. There has been no expense spared in modernizing the restaurant - housed in a small brick building just off the main drag in Yorktown. An American-ized Brassiere now lives and thrives in a space that offers it all. A happening bar, a lounge area with couches, a dining space off the bar, a large dining room with views into the kitchen and a modern but warm environment. Very comfy and invigorating. First and foremost, the staff was kickass- everyone above and beyond, while delivering friendly and superior service. We brought our own wine, corkage $25, and will investigate the wine list next visit. We started with a shared Salad Nicoise an the pasta split three ways - the Wild Mushroom Ravioli with bacon, peas, pearl onions and serious goodness - a real winner here! For mains a skirt steak, the signature 65 day dry-aged Tomahawk Ribeye (this is for two dish) and the Pappardelle with chicken cutlet - absolutely did the job. Sides of Dauphine (puffed potatoes), and Broccolini rounded out the meal. The dry--aged steak was so earthy and rich, pairing perfectly with the Chateauneuf du Papes, but more rare than medium rare...ok for me but not the sharer. The Tomahawk bone was...well see the pic. Definitely a fun and satisfying visit..wishing much success. We will be back. read more

This place definitely checks all the boxes as a premiere dining destination for the area. Service, atmosphere, and food were all fantastic. The environment is welcoming, trendy, and classy. Really well-thought out decor, nice lighting, and comfortable seating. It's a spacious interior so no need to worry about social distancing. There is also a good amount of space on their patio with heaters for when it's chilly. The food was delicious. The spinach dip, which was a special for the night, was great. And the tuna tartare was also very good. Those 2 appetizers were enough for 4 hungry adults to start off. Entrees ordered at the table were the cheeseburger which was said to be a delicious double patty burger. A skirt steak cooked to perfection was enjoyed by my wife who i would describe as a skirt steak enthusiast. And finally, the paella, which I shared with my sister in law. A good paella is one of my favorite meals, and this was just a treat. Sausage, mussels, calamari, I think some bits of lobster, and perfectly moist rice. On the menu it says it's paella for 2, but I think it can even be shared between 3 people. For dessert the bourbon pecan pie and s'mores pie were both an A+. Cocktails were also on point and they have Westchester's favorite beer, Captain Lawrence (IPA, kolsch, liquid gold, etc) on tap. The service was so friendly with a sense of humor. We chose to order takeout here for Mother's Day. The fried calamari was perfect with a crisp, light breading that did not sit too heavily before our meal. The moules frites were some of the best mussels I've had recently - in a deliciously light sauce and very fresh! The tomato salad was delicious with fresh tomatoes, dried figs and creamy buratta. For entrees we could not decided and wound up splitting the Pappardelle Chicken Cutlet and Herb Crusted salmon. The chicken cutlet was just slightly on the plainer side, but that worked out really well when mixed into the flavorful sauce of this dish. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a crispy breading. The pasta was also done very nicely, something that is difficult it to pull off with takeout. It was not over cooked at all. The sauce was delicious and pulled together the dish. I would certainly order again. The salmon was also cooked nicely, with a deliciously flavorful and fresh tasting sauce. The cucumber salad and asparagus were also tasty. Another meal I would happily order again. The cheesecake and mousse were both delicious, rich desserts. We also ordered kids meals which our kids love. I have just had my worse experience at the Gramercy that I have ever had at a restaurant in my life. I have been dinning at local restaurants in the Yorktown area for over 25 years. The bartender/owner, who wouldn't tell me his name, was so disrespectful. I had planned a Christmas dinner with our longtime friends and had a 730 dinner reservation. My recent visit to the restaurant was a complete letdown. Despite being a loyal customer, I endured an hour-long wait for my table at which point I still didn't have a time when my table would be ready and no apology from the owner. To make matters worse, the owner's blatant rudeness tarnished what used to be a pleasant dining atmosphere. Adding insult to injury, the owner's attempt to shift blame onto the 16-year-old hostess was not only unjust but also unprofessional. Moreover, falsely accusing us of being late when we arrived on time was a blatant distortion of facts. Such behavior reflects poorly on the restaurant's management and leaves me questioning the integrity of their customer service. I will never return to this establishment and hope this review provides some insight on the attitude and lack of accountability and respect for the customer. To be clear, I have dined here once a week for many weeks. I was exceptionally polite while we waited and the owners/managers were so defensive and aggressive that escalated the response. No customer made to wait an hour past reservation time should be treated this way. read more

Clean, friendly staff, etc. Ticks all the boxes. Those all get 4 stars, but the food is fairly ordinary. I've tried multiple things on the menu and while it's...ya know...good, you can get similar dishes elsewhere. For example, I had the Tagliatelle De Cacio e' Peppe. The problem with Cacio e' Peppe is that it can get watery. This was what happened with my order. The water basically washed the cheese and pepper off the pasta. My wife had the Moules Frites. It was cooked well, but the flavor was a bit bland. I would give them 3 1/2 stars if I could, but the food is a hard 3. read more
