I've heard great things about Mt. Kisco Diner, so I was excited to finally try it. The atmosphere is nice, it's clean, has a modern diner feel, and the menu is huge with tons of options. The food was good. We ordered the chicken tacos, French toast, and pancakes, and everyone enjoyed what they got. The portions were generous and everything came out fresh. The drinks were just okay, nothing that really stood out. The only disappointing part of our visit was the service. Our waiter seemed very short with us from the beginning. I asked if one ingredient could be left off my meal, and the response felt dismissive rather than accommodating. It wasn't the request being denied that bothered me, it was how it was handled. I also noticed he seemed much friendlier and more engaged with other tables than he was with ours, which was unfortunate. I'd definitely give the food another try because there are so many things on the menu I'd like to come back for. I just hope the service is a little more welcoming next time because it would really elevate the overall experience.

This was the tuna melt that came exactly as pictured. No garnish, no nothing.

I had a really good experience here. I went for lunch and ordered the half sandwich soup special with matzo ball soup and a burger deluxe. The soup was delicious, broth was flavorful, and the matzoh ball was perfect. I really enjoyed the chicken salad Sammie , but the french fries were amazing! Really crispy and delicious. The burger was juicy and perfectly executed. Service was very good and we really enjoyed.

We were seated immediately at lunchtime, which was great--especially since this diner is always packed. They have their own parking lot, which makes things much easier. The menu is extensive, with plenty of options for everyone. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast with a drizzle of Nutella. The portion was huge--five slices of French toast--definitely enough to share. Unfortunately, mine came a bit on the burnt side, and I wouldn't order it again. My husband had the scrambled eggs with breakfast potatoes and bacon, and he said everything was good. Our server was friendly and efficient, which added to the overall experience. Ambience is super casual.

Id like to start with "WOW". I am absolutely blown away with how delicious the food was. The variety and prices were so good. The service was also wonderful. Wait staff is so professional and kind. My husband lost his phone and immediately, they turned it into the front to be claimed. My husband and I ordered more than we can chew and we took advantage of the amazing "Mega Shakes". My husband got a strawberry one. I think it was strawberry shortcake and I got the candy land. We couldnt finish it. They were truly MEGA! Go hungry and prepared. They were also super cozy and decorating for the holidays and staff was attentive to my 1 year old who wanted to see everything. Will go back. I recommended all my friends to them already.

We were seated quickly and the service was quick. I appreciate them checking in with us and not letting a glass of water stay empty for long. The short rib grilled cheese was great, warm and flavorful. The prices are a little high but they give huge portions. The tomato soup was a little disappointing. It was bland and came out cold but my friend didn't mind. My friend loved the caesar salad and the chicken parm but wished for more sauce in the pasta. It's a great place to try Instagrammable foods like The Jersey Shore or Doritos mac and cheese. Give it a try, hope you have a good experience!

For the love of breakfast! Came here on a summer Saturday morning. Although they were busy we were able to get a table upon arrival. Mt. Kisco is known for their elaborate concoctions but we went with brunch basics. I had the chicken & waffles and my BF had the cinnamon roll pancakes. The chicken was the highlight of my meal... fried to perfection & very well seasoned. I would go back just for that! My BF also enjoyed his cinnamon roll pancakes.... Fair warning the cinnamon and swirl on top has enough sweetness that you don't need syrup.

Service of the counter was a bit screwy. The guy who took my order screwed up 2 times. But the food was worth the weight. The guy next to me to the unique dish. Guy from Maryland they've never been there before ordered a dish she never heard of. It was taco with a chicken taco. The taco was actually a chicken cutlet Take a look at the picture. The place looks the same, which is fine with me.

So yummy.. a bit on the pricey side but worth it. The setting is not a normal diner- but a more fancier one.

Not much diner in the area so it makes the availability a plus. The food is decent and good thing is they have all day breakfast. I ordered the Baja steak toco ($25.50) for 3 tacos. I wanted my steak medium and it was as I liked it. The portion was huge so it took some time to finish. The services was and the diner is spacious. I came on a weekday so it wasn't too busy and there were tons of table so we were rushed out or anything. I would definitely come back if I'm around this town.

After the holidays, I wanted something lighter without sacrificing flavor, and this was an excellent choice. It was delicious, satisfying, and looked so good that my family, who ordered other dishes, were genuinely envious. A great healthy option that doesn't feel like a compromise.

Come for the instagrammable milkshakes! The cake was surprisingly the best part of our Blackout shake. The food servings are huuuge! Some things are fun to try, like the Doritos mac and cheese. My daughter got this given her inherited love of Doritos (haha). I liked the mac and cheese base, but the Doritos are no bueno if you don't eat them up fast (get mushy). I got the Chicken Penne Tacos -- very very filling, two chicken's all flattened and deep fried into your "shell" and filled with penne pasta and cheese inside. Hubs got the pulled pork sandwich -- the meat was pretty dry, didn't seem like it had much sauce or at all added. We went around Easter so the whole place was cute and decorated with bunnies and pastel. The service was great as well. -- 4-4.5 Star: The skirt steak-based dishes are actually pretty good, very well cooked. I get the Brazilian one (medium rare), but my friend got a salad with equally huge portion size of the steak. -- Saw someone order the strawberry cheesecake pancake tacos? I will get that to try next time

My husband met some former colleagues at Mt Kisco diner to catch up and when he came home, he couldn't stop talking about it. He brought home some french toast because the portions were huge but he didn't stop raving about it. It just so happens the next day, we had an electrician at our house so we needed to make ourselves scarce for a few hours. It was early and we were hungry, so he said "Let's go to Mt Kisco Diner!" Off we went to Mt Kisco. The friendly staff seated us at a nice table by the front window. The menu is impressive and all the dishes I saw go by looked great. I opted for scrambled eggs and toast, with french fries instead of home fries. Everything was great and service was terrific. Again, the portions are huge and we could have easily split what I ordered. Coffee was also very delicious. The restaurant is spacious and clean. I liked the design...it made me feel calm. It was fairly crowded when we were there and it was lively but not too loud. I definitely recommend Mt Kisco diner if you're looking for some elevated diner grub!

I've heard a lot of hype for this place mostly about their crazy milkshakes and I was hoping for a decent meal as well. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything outstanding in my opinion. It was lackluster diner food and although the presentation of the milkshake was awesome, the shake itself barely tasted like fruity pebbles. The eggs were a bit overcooked for my liking and the pancakes didn't have that buttermilky flavor I usually look for and they were a bit dry. A bit disappointed overall but not the worst diner food I've ever had. It seemed like they had some fun items on the dinner menu so I might give it a second chance for dinner at some point! I would've given it a 2.5 if I could but I rounded up for creativity. I really appreciate when restaurants think outside the box!

    Gluten free menu?

    I don't think so

Do they take reservations for large groups?

No, It's a diner, you just have to let the host/hostess know of your party size so they can get ready. Be aware it does get busy so if you plan to go with a large party there can be a wait if it's during the dinner rush

First off-the owners are so FRIENDLY and kind--you can talk to them about anything and they are happy to answer questions about any of the food and/or drinks. You can tell they love owning this place and meeting customers. I have heard so much about the Pub and went for the first time yesterday with two friends. We had one of their rotating cask beers and one of their bitter regular casks which is a staple of the establishment-each beer was delicious and tasty! I had the vegan curry dish which was very tasty with veggies, rice and great spice. My friends had a dish similar to Shepherd's Pie but slightly different and cooked with more like steak stewed meat rather than lamb and we all licked our plates clean LOL. We also shared two of the desserts which were vanilla ice cream with some type of coconut cookie in it and the other was vanilla ice cream with a yummy type of strawberry sauce I think. The atmosphere is so laid back as well-like traditional British Pubs you order your drinks and food at the bar and they deliver your food to your table with a number. You are able to sit wherever you would like and I hear it gets very packed for European football games. I can't wait until I get a chance to go again-there aren't a ton of food options being that I don't eat red meat-but I was able to find the curry and could also try the Fish and Chips which looked amazing and I have heard it is great. If you are in the area-stop by for a drink or two and you will not be disappointed-you feel like you are transported to England with these type of pub.

It was bright and sunny outside, but traditionally dark and well worn inside. You order at the bar and they bring everything to your table. Owners were very nice as you'd expect. I got their house bitter cask ale. Very good however please note this is close to room temperature than a typical cold beer; I personally love the style and this was a good example. My son doesn't understand that British people call fries chips, so we ended up having to get him French fries and potato chips. They luckily had the latter, even if they didn't have plain ones, so we got him ketchup-flavored chips that of course he proceeded to barely eat (they were actually good). He did like the French fries/British chips, and my wife liked her breakfast sandwich even if it was a bit heavy for her. My fish and chips were really freaking good. Sizable piece of fish (haddock), nice and crisp, with a ton of chips and lots of sauces (spicy mustard, vinegar, etc). Maybe not my favorite fish and chips ever, but it hit the spot. Would come back here in a heartbeat, especially where I could relax and drink a bit more. Completely understand why they are recognized as a top bar in the US.
