This place is not a deli...its a Westchester County landmark!! They have been here as long as I can remember and haven't changed a bit. The people who work here are and always have been awesome..the place is right off the Sprain / Taconic..and the food is amazing!!! Hot food or cold sandwiches, dosen't matter, its gonna be yummy. Rocky's Millwood Deli was a new discovery for me! While visiting my family in NY, my nephew suggested this location for a late meal. I was able to pick up an eggplant on roll with marinara sauce and no cheese. The gentleman who took my order made it just right and thick! This rating pains me. I grew up just about a mile from Rocky's in the 80s. My family still talks about it. Stopped here while taking my daughter to college. What happened? I've been dreaming of that chicken cutlet for years and they are no longer homemade? The cutlets were prepackaged and processed. My daughter felt the same about the meatballs. I can't get passed how one staff member was using the N word very loudly. It wasn't once twice it was every other word out of his mouth and he was also talking about slapping the Sht out of people very loudly. I asked the counter staff if it was necessary that he spoke like this and was told "We all speak like that" our customers do to so they don't get offended. They asked him to keep it down so he then started speaking about me being a grown ass man and complaining. He was also saying how he would slap the Sht out of me while still every other word from his mouth was the N word. He was saying it low but I still heard what he was saying. We were on our way to Teatown Lake Reservation and decided to stop by this place first as there were only a few options as we get closer to the destination. We got the Balboa hot sandwich which is roast beef, cheese and fried onions. My son got the meatball sandwich and my wife got hot buffet food. All in all, the food was good enough to give this place a solid 3. Everything was piping hot and tasty and the customer service was outstanding. I have been going to Rockies for years and most of the time they do a great job. Sadly this time they didn't follow thru with their great expectations. My friend ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich on a roll for $9 when all she received was a beef patty and a thin slice of cheese pretty much she ordered a roll since it was mostly bread. She also ordered a small container of tuna salad which was an appalling amount of money considering you can buy tuna at the grocery store for $1.50 a can. I used to live coming here. Now prices seem ridiculously high, like $18 for a specialty sandwich that used to be like $11. Not to mention it's cash only. Not 'you must use debit card, not credit card, so we can pass the 3% credit card transaction fee savings on to you.' But more like 'please bring $50 cash to buy a couple subs, and if you ain't got it you can use our out-of-network ATM for a $3.00 fee to pay.'
