Haven't been here in awhile but decided to give it a try. The food is decent but not like previous owners. The workers are beyond lackadaisical. You can tell they could care less about me or their work. The restaurant is dirty and dark and dingy. Could use some much cleaning and change of decor. It just has a depressing vibe. The meat is good and I like that they make real hand cut fries and it's all just okay. If you want a decent burger go here but get it to Go. I'm always looking for a a great burger and this facility delivers the goods! Huge burgers that are full of flavor, tasty fries, and your choice of a canned soda, which is a nice difference over the traditional fountain drinks that you take a gamble they'll taste right when you order them, and you have a satisfying meal. You won't be hungry a few hours later, and if you get a double meat you might not be hungry for the remainder of the day. I have ordered online and my orders are always accurate which might not seem like a big deal now, but when you've went to pick up an order and/or had one delivered and it was wrong is so frustrating! I haven't eaten inside this establishment but they usually have come cool music playing so I imagine it can't be too bad to just sit down and enjoy my food. If you ever get a chance to come by here it's worth a visit. The burgers here are HUGE and are freshly made when your order, there's nothing sitting under heat lamps. The fries are seasoned really well, though they aren't the most crispy they taste like great homemade fries. The customer service is pretty decent, I wouldn't say it's Chick-fil-a level, but I was greeted upon entry and the staff was cool. Best things: The burger options are awesome, and you can customize them anyway you want. Once again the portions are huge, so the price is justified. The churros are great there as well, and once again the fries are seasoned really well. Bad things: I really hate the convenience fee when using a card, even if it is $0.25 it doesn't make any sense when the prices cover that fee pretty well. Charging extra for condiments is also pretty annoying. I don't like ketchup with fries, so I figured a side of ranch wouldn't be much of an ask, but it's extra, and the portion is small, so just get two of them. Overall: Great tasting food, lots of options, and the prices are decent, just prepared for a little extra cost for some of the things you want. read more

If Yelp had no stars that's what I would give. Today was my first time at burger pop my experience was AWFUL. The restroom was insanitary with toilet paper in the floor and a toilet that didn't flush. Out in the dining there was smoked cigarettes on the floor and majority of the tables weren't wiped down.. if health inspection came here they'd be in for a surprise!! i came home and had awful FOOD POISONING. I called the restaurant and spoke to the owner. He said it was because I got food poisoning else where. When I hadn't ate anything else today but BURGER POP. The food is really good but the 75 cent charge for using a debit/credit card is ridiculous. No mention of it from the counter employee until I signed the receipt and questioned it. Ive eaten here a few times since they opened ive never had a specific problem with the food or service, but over the last couple months/visits, its been noticeably going downhill. Tonight promoted me to finally leave a review. This is why I dont always review on first trip for places i know i will return to over time. 1. The smell. Last time there was a hint of something and it wasn't necessarily bad, but it wasn't " hot steamy burgers seducing your senses"... tonight, we opened the door and it hit us square in the face like a paternity suit served at your new job. The only way to describe it is raw sewage. Like the smell that comes over you after crossing into a mexican border town and finding a public toilet that charges 4 pesos for paper and no one is buying. It was revolting. My wife REALLY wanted to get out of the house and eat here so i didnt say anything at first, but i didnt wait long. 2. The hours. CLEARLY on the front door is the hours. It says closes at 9pm. It does not say "hours vary", " seating stops at..." or anything else other than 9pm for closing time. So to my dismay at 8:26 pm my wife and I were told that we could only order take out. We would not be welcome to sit down and eat our food. Most people would prob just get it to and eat at home. Which is fine for most people but i have a large dog that like likes hamburgers and i dont like to sit down with him staring at me the whole time, or worse occasionally stealing my food since he is about 80 lbs and perfectly capable of it despite my best attempts to stop him. 3. Back to the smell. By now the smell is so overwhelming , that even my 80lb dog who can clear a room with stolen food scrap farts would probably be begging to go outside for fresh air. I was just about to tell my wife were leaving and going to another place but its late on Sunday. In that same regrettable breath, my wife finally asks the girl at the counter "what is that horrible smell?" I'm thinking that by now one of those canaries that late 1800's miners carried down to warn of poisonous gas, would be feet up and tongue out dead. Lighting a match could result in a catastrophic explosion too. 4. The excuse. The counter girl tried to explain the smell with a poorly rehearsed story about cleaning products since it was the end of the night. While i believe this smell might harm us the same as mixing ammonia and bleach, it was certainly derived from an activity OPPOSITE of cleaning. She then told us unsolicited how the drink machine was really dirty and can smell up the place too because of the collection tray or something. She should receive some sales training, or just play dumb. That would have been less offensive than a concoction of a story like the one she has already let out. 5. The smell is stronger now. Like a good Quentin Tarintino movie, we've bounced back and forth on chapters/chronology, but we always get back to the original plot line. I have already ordered my wife to leave and we are headed out the door. A couple of teenage looking boys have emerged from the back as if to see who is out there in disbelief that they dont allow dine in 30 minutes before closing, and that this smell is somehow the result of a cleaning activity. I feel like we might have been a little unsympathetic in our haste to leave but in the 2-3 minutes that transpired for this whole event, we might have exceded epa limits for inhaling methane based gas fumes. I certainly wasnt going to check the bathroom to see if it was just someone dumping a colostomy bag out ( which doesnt smell this bad btw) as the other logical explanation. 6. The impression. I cant eat in here again for quite a while, even if they clean up the smell. Its scarred my brain it was so bad. If i decide to try again ( they are super close to my house), and that smell is still there, it will most likely trigger a flashback. A really bad one like a family reunion where theres one weird uncle who likes to touch all the kids in the same places the detective had circled on that doll.. read more

I'm sad to see the recent reviews of this place are negative. So far, I've loved burger pop and have never had an issue. In fact, what finally made me jump the gun and do this review after so long was the girl at the register/front. I made an order over the phone to be picked up and she was great! Very nice, patient with my questions, etc. The burgers have always been great. One time I did find it greasier than usual but that's it. However, the fries could use more crispness. They are too oily and soggy sometimes. Other than that, there are no big complaints from me. I do hope they improve and give it their all, because I'm addicted to the hickory burger. read more

The hubs got a cheeseburger with a fried egg on it. The nugget got the corn dog bites. I got the beef salad, which is basically a burger salad. You can also enjoy fresh cut fries or curly fries.
