It's been a few years since I've had a shake there (dairy's not a good choice when bicycling in hot weather), but I remember them fondly as well. I live about 15 miles away, near Gainesville, and the only fast food style burger I've had in this general geographic area that even comes close to Shakers is from a little "weekday only, lunch only" place called Mac's. None of the big chains can touch Shakers. It's worth the ride.

The garlic knots really didn't have flavor. They were just bread knots that were very bland and relied totally on the marinara. The marinara was good though. Overall the pizza was good but same complaint as the knots with the pizza crust. I always eat the crust on pizza, but didn't hear, as it was just like eating plain bread. I will definitely give them another try when in the area cause I want to give them the 4 stars.

Portions were quite generous and the value was there. We actually packed our leftovers for some quesadillas later. If we do go back, I would order the gyro instead of the chicken souvlaki.
