I was so disappointed in Burger Street. We have been coming since they opened and always had good service and good food. Tonight we stood at the register for 5 minutes before we looked down by the grill area to try and get someone's attention. There where 3 young ladies in the office goofing off. They gave us the wrong drinks and they where not even sorry they did it. The food was ok. Not great. Over all won't be back. Too many other restaurants around with better food and service. read more

It seems like so many of these neat specialty burger place that pop up are all going big franchise. Apparently that is the case with Burger Street. Been awhile since I have been to one since the one that was in our area closed about 3 years ago. During that time we enjoyed the cook to order juicy burgers. The single burger I had today was sadly not the same quality. But that what happens to food joints when the go big with franchises everywhere...things tend to downgrade. The service was good though but more pricey than fast food as expected with cook to order. Personally..I will have to try other burger options and sides next time I visit here to get full range of menu. read more

I had never heard of Burger Street before this visit. My fiancée and I were driving around and decided to give them a shot. And we are glad we did! Chili fries and curly fries are awesome! They put crushed ice in their drinks which is always way better than cubed ice. Also, they have FREE soft serve ice cream! The ONLY reason this place is not 5 stars is that my fiancee's burger was dripping with grease. It was good, but that was kind of a turn off. Other than that, the food was fantastic. The best part of this restaurant, by far, is the staff. Everyone was so genuinely friendly and really cared about serving their guests. It's weird to call a fast food joint warm and welcoming, but that's exactly what this place was. I wish I could find staff like this to work at my company. They are that good. So if you want a tasty burger, friendly service, and a little soft serve, this is your spot! read more

This was my first time ever at Burger Street. I came in with my husband and 3, 11-year-old boys. It cost us $25.50, and everyone went away with what they wanted, and satisfied. It's hard to find places with burgers made to order and hot dogs! We only tried burgers and hot dogs, none of the chicken, turkey sandwiches or Curley fries. The buns tasted homemade, and they also served free soft serve ice cream. The place was friendly and very clean. It may not be the best burger I've ever had, but the fact it was at least as good as you make at home, clean and satisfying, I give it 5 stars. read more

So I pull up to this place around 8 o'clock in the evening. No one is inside eating and no one is in the drive-through at this point. I guess that should have been my sign. Stopped in on a review of best burger joints, and though heck I'll give this place a try never have been. Was an ok burger, fresh vegetables, decent bun. Meat was somewhat flavorless, and your standard manufactured hamburger patty. You could do better buying Wallyworlds preformed angus burger patties, which isn't much improvement. Curly fries, why chains think putting on a load of spice/crisping makes anything better, are clueless. At least the where hot crisp and fresh. I will say they beat In and Out, but still to many fast food burger joints that are better. Not even mentioning hole in the wall places that grind and form their own patties. In spite of the incredibly poor customer service, my wife and have been going to this store 1-2 times a week since it opened. We LOVE their burgers and fries! Bottom line: the staff simply does not know how to get an order right -- 90% of the time! If the cashier finally gets it right, then the cook screws it up. At first we wrote it off as just a new store learning curve. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Last night it took 3 tries to get a simple order entered correctly. Then, the cook got it wrong. That was our last visit to the Roanoke store! Without immediate management attention, there is no way this store will survive. There is a very successful DQ on one side, and a newly opened Jason's Deli on the other side. In all of our visits to this store, I have never seen more than 3-4 other customers. Since their food is top notch, I can only conclude that other potential customers are disappointed with the lack of customer service. read more

Service was over the top - extremely courteous and welcoming. Very friendly. Restaurant was very clean and service was fast. We thought it would be a typical fast food burger but we were pleasantly surprised! The presentation was perfect not thrown together. We had the Classic. This place is great. Sometimes it takes a bit longer than usual for the food to come out, but it is always fresh. They've got the best fries, and their staff all seem genuinely interested in helping you. They happily welcomed my ESA service dog, and are so lovely. My family and I decided to go to Burger Street as me and my kids love it. We had a long day and had not had dinner it was about 9:20 PM.. My wife and I have both worked in the restaurant industry so we are aware of not walking in a place 5 minutes before they close. So we always check to see if we are heading in somewhere late. We were pushing it, the hours on the door said open from 10 AM to 10 PM ok kids hurry! There were several other guests still eating in the restaurant. We went up to the counter to order started discussing what we wanted and then someone comes out and says sorry the lobby should have closed 20 minutes ago if you want to order go through the drive-thru. So we politely and promptly left and went to Arby's for dinner. I then sent a customer comment via their website and heard nothing back. This shows me what Burger Street thinks of my business. they say that they systematically review the comments. 3 MONTHS LATER STILL NO RESPONSE. read more

Today was my first visit to a Burger Street Restaurant. The customer service was great but let me tell you, the cheeseburger was outstanding. Unlike many other fast food burger chains where the burger taste like cardboard this cheeseburger far exceeded all expectations. You could taste every component of the burger, the meat was seasoned perfectly, fresh and crisp vegetables, and a soft fresh bun with the perfect amount of dressing. The onion rings were decent and like the burger they were better than many of their competitors. Overall, you won a customer for life. read more

Had a late lunch there on a Monday. There were about 6 other guests already there when we arrived, nobody was in line to order. After placing our order, we waited 16 minutes to get our food. That wait time was not anticipated and resulted in my friend and I having to eat very quickly and take our fries in the car. The food was decent, but certainly not worth the wait. read more

Ate at the Burger Street at Roanoke today, 1/27 in the early evening, and we loved it! The food was delicious! I especially like the sweet potato fries. The burgers are big and juicy! There were only 2 workers and they were a bit crowded but everything seemed to go seamlessly. They were changing out the ice cream machine ice cream but the manager courteously took the time to make my children ice cream cones. This is now our favorite burger place in Roanoke! read more

My family truly enjoys going to Burger Street. The staff are always polite and smiling. The food is always good and the plane is clean.

I'm stunned, I honestly just don't know what the bad reviewers are talking about. We've been to this Burger Street maybe 6 or 7 times in the past 6 months. It has tasted exactly the same every time -- and it's wonderful! I can't believe anyone would say this is like a fast food burger -- the quality and flavor of the meat is not even in the same universe. The burgers taste like high quality home cooking. There might be a few drips of grease, but good quality meat isn't supposed to be dry. No more than you would see at Chili's or something like that. Certainly not what I would call "greasy" or "dripping" at all. The super fresh tomatoes are the only thing that makes my husband's messy -- but that's what tomatoes do if they're not dry. How anyone could think this was akin to Dairy Queen or Wendy's just blows my mind -- not very discriminating palates I think. We've tried plenty of specialty burger joints, and we just keep telling people, they just aren't as tasty as Burger Street. The outside of the restaurant is super bland, but the inside is definitely better than "fast food joint", and immaculately clean. Restrooms too. I think the ambiance inside is actually pleasant and cozy, and I'm picky about that sort of thing. And the reviews are right that the staff is extremely polite -- you'd swear they all previously worked at Chikfila. I wish more people knew about Burger Street, because it's true, it's a bad location -- they're pretty invisible down on the end of the row. But as far as the value and the quality, we absolutely love it! Oh, and also -- I can't remember, but I don't think the big burgers are $7 like another reviewer said -- maybe that was with all sorts of stuff added. I remember the junior burger, which I and my daughter get, is about $2.95 or so -- it's bigger than a junior burger at Wendy's etc, and with splitting my husband's fries, it perfectly fills me up. Plus, free ice cream! It's probably about a dollar more than you'd find at Wendy's -- but oh my word, the quality is worth so much more than that!! read more
