We ordered a Turkey Salad that had fresh veggies and right amount of protein and crunch to it. The Outlaw Burger had a thick layer of cheese that nicely melted into the thick patty that offered a good spicy flavor. Both portions were generous. Our food tasted fresh and delicious. The girl at the front desk was friendly helping us check out. Our waitress did a great job, stopping by few times to ask, "How's everything Y'all?" I loved the Western Cowboy Theme. Turkey sandwich with beans and okra. Bonus points for toasting the bun for the sandwich, nice touch. The turkey was good by itself, smoky but not much other flavor. The Q sauce was good, helped the flavor but didn't overwhelm the sandwich. Beans were great, nice peppery taste! We LOVEEEE the burgers from Outlaws. I'm a big mushroom Swiss fanatic and my husband is always trying something new. The only issue I've ever ran into here is the patty just isn't cooked enough. HOWEVER, I like mine well done. The times I've forgotten to ask for a well done patty, I have to cook it on my own. Not their fault!! The sweet potato fries are to die for. The food has really gone downhill over the years. The burgers used to be some of the best around, I don't know what happened, but they definitely aren't any better than what I can just do at home. The service from the servers is fine, though I swear there's always the owner/manager on the floor messing with camera, which kinda adds to the rumors I've heard of the employers not being treated well. Speaking of which whatever tips you leave for the servers gets spread to everyone, even if you give them a cash tip directly, I would not have tipped if I knew that fact. This place is a go to for a good burger however, it's pretty hit or miss on the toppings and quality every time we come. The burgers come medium cooked so I always try and remember to ask for medium well or well. My go to is the mushroom Swiss and most of the time, it's a good portion size of toppings but sometimes, I literally get 3 mushrooms. I always get the sweet potato fries which are delicious!!! It's just "alright"! Small portions and a bit pricey! BBQ was Okay ... a 6/10 - not much flavor.. had to cover in BBQ sauce. Apple cobbler was bland too! Finally decided to review this place. I've been coming here once a year for years and love it. Outlaw Burgers is located minutes from Texas motor speedway in a town called Justin. When you pull up you get that old town western vibe that Texas is known for. There are usually different generations of family working there and they are always kind and helpful. I usually get one of the huge half pound burgers and a side. This trip I had the BBQ cheddar burger with regular BBQ sauce. Fried mushrooms for the side. All was delicious. I was aittle disappointed that the milkshake machine was down this go around because they are really good. If you stop in I 100% recommend you save room for a milkshake. read more

I have been going there since they opened. Don't know what is going on but my mushroom Swiss burger & onion rings tonight tasted awful. My husband waited over 1/2 an hour for his milkshake. There has always been at least one gnat flying around the table but tonight there were 10+ nonstop flying around my food! Don't they do pest control?!?! Passed by Outlaw Burger dozens of times when heading to the post office in Justin and never went in. I actually thought it was bar restaurant. Well, recently my wife and I were in the mood for a burger and decided to try it. Turns out we were wrong about the type of restaurant. It is a fast casual where you order at the counter and they bring food to the table. I had a Green Chili Burger and tots; my wife had a guacamole burger and onion rings. Food came quickly and everything was very good. The green chili burger had a very large slice of green chili and an excellent sauce, both of which made it different that the average burger. Perfectly cooked and fresh bun. My wife's burger was also very good and the onion rings crisp and well prepared. Lots of families were eating when we were there. They do serve beer, which I like with a burger, but that does not at all stop it from being family friendly. This is a step above fast food burgers and we will be returning. read more

Our first bite out after moving to Justin. We had some good burgers, but they weren't amazing. The only knock against them was the cockroach walking across the floor while we stood inside. I know Texas has a lot of bugs and this could happen anywhere. But still not great while you're waiting to order food. The service was great and the prices were fair as well. Unfortunate experience. We arrived this morning as they were opening. Our team coach had called ahead of time to reserve a few tables for our large group, but as we were walking in things went downhill fast. Only part of our group was there as we walked in, and immediately they stated they were disappointed and unaware that our team was "kids, and not teenagers". Immediately the owner walked over and stated they have already banned several other kids teams from ever coming back again, and gave us a list of expectations to follow otherwise we would be banned also. Keep in mind this was as soon as we arrived to the restaurant, we hadn't even been seated yet or anything. We were totally thrown off by what seemed like an aggressive welcoming, so we said " should we leave because we don't really feel welcomed to have our team and kids here" and again, the owner stated he's made families leave in the past if the kids were misbehaving. At the end of the day, I understand there is an expectation of how kids should be behaving in public and restaurants and as parents I like to think that we have those same expectations - but to immediately be bombarded with threats before we even get seated was totally uncomfortable and the restaurant doesn't seem very family friendly if they have a habit of banning teams and families from coming back. We've heard the food is great but we cannot vouch for that based on our experience. Shame! read more

This last time they told me the discount would only be on my meal. Not a deal breaker, just disappointing. The burgers were a little off this visit. If you're looking for the small town, home town, oversized servin' Texas type of meal... this is the place to go! The red-head who took our order had great suggestions and even slowed us down when we were ready to keep on ordering more. She said to start with what we had and to come back and order more if we wanted... we couldn't finish what we started with! The atmosphere was perfect and gives you the small town, classic Texas feel that seems to be missing in so many places. The staff were friendly but no in your face or overbearing. And the food... Was looking forward to trying this place out due to reviews. Ordered the "cheese" fries as our appetizer. The "cheese" fries came out after my plate showed up. The fries had some dried and over cooked cheese on a small portion of it. For my entree I ordered the lean brisket plate with Mac n cheese. The brisket wasn't lean but the portion was definitely lean (all four slices of dried beef jerky) and the Mac n cheese was cold. My wife ordered a sandwich with sweet potato fries. Her fries were burnt so she just had the sandwich and some of my "cheese" fries. Too bad I can't post pics. Will be going back to Hard 8. read more

Been here multiple times and food has always been good. Best fried jalapeños. This time I tried the steak fingers and got violently ill two hours after eating and coming home. I thought I might have to go to the ER. My husband had the cheese steak and kids order chicken fingers but they were fine. The steak had a rubbery texture. I dipped some in gravy so maybe that masked some flavor. I had an immediate reaction so I don't know if there was a contamination?
