The chicken was crispy and there was plenty of lettuce and mayo like I requested. We really liked the fries, they were crispy and seasoned unlike what I've had before. I think there was turmeric on these! Very flavorful. And I loved my smoothie, it was delicious and blended well - no ice chunks or anything. My bf liked his philly, though he said for the price he said you could get better. I don't really eat philly cheesesteaks, though, so I can't speak for it besides I guess it didn't have much meat for the price. This is probably one of the better options in the food court at the mall as long as you are willing to spend a pretty penny.

You go in, you order at the counter, you wait outside for your food because there is no room to wait inside. They've been busy most times I have been here. There's also normally not a ton of people working so expect a wait when you order. You can call ahead to place your order though. They have the best fries around. My friends enjoy their garbage plates and their garbage plate wraps, which is literally a garbage plate in a giant tortilla. Definitely a quintessential Rochester/Pittsford place. Would recommend.

My sandwich with marinara sauce on the side was extremely well done. The meat was very moist and tasted good. Our sides, onion rings and mushrooms, also were perfectly breaded and we enjoyed it a lot. I'm sure this place doesn't need any recommendations. I hadn't been in many years -- the location near me closed, and with so many other options around Rochester, it's not a place I often think of. This visit reminded me why the brand has stuck around for decades. Inside, the restaurant has a fun retro feel, and despite a busy lunch rush, service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Wahlburger, which I'd oddly never tried before. It's their classic cheeseburger built on a soft, fresh bun with a seasoned beef patty, melted American cheese, shredded lettuce, diced onions, pickles, a slice of ham, and their signature tangy Wahl sauce. It arrived looking pretty plain and unassuming, but that first impression didn't tell the whole story. The patty was nicely cooked, the bun was great, and the combination of ham with that killer sauce made the whole thing surprisingly delicious. I'd absolutely order it again. The fried cheese curds were the star of the meal. They looked like they might be heavy, but they were light, crisp, and delicious. The cheese inside was mild and unexpectedly perfect. I could have eaten a whole second order. The mac salad, usually my favorite side, was just okay -- good but not great. It needed a bit more salt, though I still finished it. All in all, while I wouldn't necessarily drive across town just for it, this was a solid lunch spot and a fun throwback.
