My cashier David gave me a hard time while ordering. I ordered a burger and he said "you don't need all that fat pig" in a condescending voice than he proceeded to insult my weight and my grandparents and then I ordered a hot dog and his friend cal refused to give the hot dog to me because I was quote on quote "different" I think what he said was racially motivated because I am a different race ( I prefer not to say). These kids were very rude to me and also ended up giving me the wrong order ( a rude sandwich fyi) Thank you for your time Sincerely, Nayvadius

I got a vanilla shake and some chili fries. I wasn't blown away by it, but it was good. Service was friendly and fast. The interior had a throwback diner feel. I'll be back to try their burgers. It's nice that you can order ahead online and can also find some coupons pretty easily.

Wahl burger, fries, and a root beer.

Visiting a customer in the area and figured try a local chain place. Ordered the Wahl burger, fries, and frosted mug of root beer. The burger was just ok, a bit unique with the ham and swiss on top of the patty but the patty and bun are a bit thin. The fries were ok, appear to be standard crinkle cut but no seasoning on them so had to add salt which is rare for me. The root beer is probably the highlight since made by them. Overall I think I prefer a Culvers meal over this but don't know if you don't try new places. Thus on to the next.

It's not a trip home without a Junker Plate from Tom Wahl's. Food came out fast and fresh. Be sure to try the homemade root beer.

I decided we should go for Valentine's Day! So here we are a group of 4, on Valentine's Day . Reservation was for 6 however our show ended early so we came around 5:30. Restaurant was empty except for a few people at the bar. Host was less than happy about us coming in early. We had no problem waiting. He reluctantly seats us. The waitress comes out rolls her eyes and then gives a fake smile. Maybe because our skin is brown but our money is green. Now to the food! Awful and severely over priced! We have been too many expensive restaurants that can walk the walk. Erie Grill can't even crawl. Caesar salad $25 (serves one, not an entree), chicken lollipops $16 end up being two chicken legs. The others ordered wagu meatloaf. It definitely tasted frozen. I order tuna tartar wontons (Nosh's Ahi tuna wontons would murder these) and a bowl of jambalaya (meh). It has definitely taken me one month to get over this experience. Nice hotel well that's all I can say! PS. Manager seemed to be "taste testing" booze in the back. Unprofessional!

I ordered that, and it was very good for what I got. You might say it was overpriced, but it tasted good. my wife and my adult daughter ordered chicken Parmesan. It had the Quality in plain flavor of the chicken. You would get from an old TV frozen meal. Zero flavor. my other daughter ordered teriyaki salmon over rice. It was very plain, but worse it was overcooked and let's face it. Dry salmon is worse than no salmon at all. I did not hate it when tasting it, but I mixed it up with the rice and the vegetable so it was edible. I would order it, possibly in the future, but I would make certain it was cooked, medium rare. my son-in-law ordered a BLT and he said it was good. I also ordered soft pretzels, which I love my nature. What I got was terrible incredibly over solved the even when I took all the salt over the surface the dough itself was incredibly salty. I have a feeling it's basically good for sandwiches and burgers The tuna I ordered was great, but it was not a lot for the money. If I had to go there again, I would probably would order the tuna assuming you're comfortable eating semi raw tuna. some people would call that black and blue.

The server was very good but the pizza took a very long time to arrive. It appeared they may have been understaffed. We advised and showed the server what we found and she said it appeared to be chicken. (It was inedible grissel) We have never experienced that with a Pizza and was potentially a health hazard. It did appear that they have declined since our last visit.

It is kind of hard to find a restaurant if one is not familiar with the area. I got there late, and the food was not served yet. I ordered my food, and then, we all got the food at the same time. Good. Two pounds of mussels across from me were shared by some at the table. I saw pastas, fried calamari, and Steak Salad(I was not too impressed by it), I got the Pork Chop. It was tender, although I ordered cook well done. The sauce was delicious. It came with Shoestring Fries. Tasty. A glass of Precose to wash everything down. Refreshing Caitlin, our server, was excellent. I told her to bring the special Orange Chocolate Torte for the Birthday Girl with a little candle, and she did in the end. It was a big enough piece of cake that we shared it after singing Las Mañanitas to her. We left happy.

Unfortunately, this Mother's Day 5/10/26 experience was disappointing enough that I felt compelled to leave a review. We had reservations for 3:30 PM on Mother's Day, and in the special request section of the reservation, I clearly specified that this was a Mother's Day celebration. I also requested a quiet or private booth and mentioned that my daughter is vegetarian. Upon arrival, we were seated upstairs directly next to what appeared to be an employee service area. We could constantly hear employees talking, dishes being washed or thrown around, and overall it was easily the loudest table in the restaurant. What made this more frustrating was that another couple seated next to us complained loudly about their table and caused a scene. Although staff initially explained the restaurant was full, they were eventually moved. Meanwhile, we had politely requested a better table in advance through the reservation system, yet because we were patient and understanding, it felt like we were simply ignored. Service throughout the meal was inconsistent and inattentive. It took quite a while before anyone took our drink order. The wine menu presented to me only included wines by the glass, despite the fact that I later saw servers bringing full bottles of wine and champagne to other tables. I wanted to order a bottle of champagne for the occasion, but by the time our waitress finally arrived, I didn't want to complicate things further. Another detail that stood out was the complete lack of acknowledgment for Mother's Day. I overheard our waitress enthusiastically wishing other tables a "Happy Mother's Day" and asking if they were celebrating anything special, yet she never once acknowledged me or our celebration. My husband ordered a piña colada and was told they could not make one, so he settled for a strawberry martini that was overwhelmingly sweet and unenjoyable. We chose not to complain. The food itself, as always, was excellent and truly the highlight of the evening. However, the service continued to feel rushed and impersonal. I was planning to order my favorite espresso martini after dinner, but instead the bill was simply dropped at the table without anyone asking if we wanted dessert or another drink. One employee who was handling bread and water service also made us feel rushed. While I was literally still chewing my food, she interrupted to ask, "Should I bag that for you?" It made me feel like we were being pushed out. I was also disappointed that despite specifically mentioning my daughter was vegetarian in the reservation notes, our waitress never offered vegetarian suggestions or asked about dietary restrictions. At most upscale restaurants, this level of attentiveness is expected. The most upsetting part of the evening, however, was what felt like dismissive and unprofessional behavior toward us as Latinos. My husband has an accent, and our waitress repeatedly pretended not to understand him. At one point, after commenting on his accent, she laughed and said, "Or maybe I'm deaf." We found this rude, uncomfortable, and inappropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. Ironically, despite the poor experience, I still tipped over 20% -- more than $100 from our table alone -- because I did not want to reinforce unfair stereotypes about Latinos not tipping. Black & Blue has always justified its upscale pricing through excellent food and outstanding hospitality, which is why this experience was so disappointing. While the food remains exceptional, the atmosphere has become extremely loud and chaotic, to the point where it reminded me more of Red Lobster than the elevated dining experience this restaurant once offered. I truly hope management takes customer service more seriously moving forward, because this visit was nowhere near the standard Black & Blue used to represent.
