There is no question that this place makes an excellent burger. The fries are also very good. I love the fact that they have pure cane sugar soda. As good as the food is, spending over $20 for a burger, fries and a drink is just way too much. Unfortunately, I won't be returning as the price point really is a deterrent. Neighborhood gem! So surprise that a burger place like this exist in the suburbs. You can customize your burgers from the bun, meat, cheese, and toppings so prices will vary. The meat was cooked to a good temperature and the special sauce is really good. I would recommend trying out the pretzel bun, it was a pleasant surprise I didn't think a pretzel bun would taste that good. I enjoyed my burger which I chose a seed bun, blended patty, with cheese, mushrooms, and special sauce. They also have old school soda in their fountain machine. All the employees were really nice. Very good sandwiches! I had their chicken (I don't eat red meat) and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the Kobe beef and he said it was cooked just right! It can be a bit pricy as most of the typical items you put on a burger/sandwich are add ons there..so it adds up $$. Their truffle fries were good too. A great app before our main entree! My friends and I went here for the first time to try out. It seemed promising bc it received great reviews. We walked in and the menu is on the mall to the right. You basically can make your own burger. There are options to add different kinds of burgers or chicken, a few selections of toppings that cost extra, and cheeses, buns and sauce. They also have fries which were good, cheese fries, pierogis, etc and some milkshakes. The burger was very good and big. It made the bun soggy from the sauces but it was all delicious. Service was good, it came out fast. I just don't like how when places don't include the fries with the burger. You have to pay extra if you want fries. It was kinda pricy here. It cost like $20 for just a burger and fries. It's worth it bc it's really good but I think personally the prices should be alittle lower. I've been meaning to make it to burger Barr since they reopened after renovations but never made it. Yesterday, a coworker of mine was raving about their burgers so I went today to try it out. It was absolutely the best burger I've ever tasted and I was in the restaurant business for 15 years. I didnt even try any of the special sauces... just got the premium chuck burger on a brioche bun with cooper sharp and secret sauce. I will most definitely try a couple of their sauces next time. I took it to go due to a time crunch so I was worried that after the 15 min drive home, I wouldnt be able to enjoy it as much as I would have if I ate it there. Nope... it was still amazing. The fries were really good too... still hot and the perfect amount of crispy when I got home. The staff was extremely nice as100% guaranteed to go back! Update: I've gone back a couple times since and they were closed... they have the absolute most inconsistent hours of any restaurant Ive ever gone to. Many times I've went there during there supposed "open" hours and they were closed. Excellent food but I dont go often because of the inconsistency in hours of operation. read more

I live over an hour away from this place and still make it out every few weeks cause it's that good! The blend burger is so stinking juicy and always cooked to perfection! The food was great and the service was excellent. Our table was dirty, so I had to wipe it off. Although, after one of the workers saw me cleaning the table he quickly came over and cleaned the table and apologized. Stopped here based on the reviews. I will agree with another yelper, the ordering needs to change somehow. The guy helping us was super friendly and helpful. But that being said, it does take a while to order bc they explain everything. There's gotta be an easier quicker way to do that. So once you have your order done, you sit and they bring it out to you. If you order fries, they come out when they're done. That's great and all but not when you sit and wait another 15 min for your burgers. They are tasty though. I ordered the impossible burger. And was assured they cook it separately and don't use the same utensils as the meat burgers.. that was comforting. I also asked for a side of the cherry bbq sauce. That was $1. ONE FREAKING DOLLAR???!! For literally maybe a scant tablespoon of bbq sauce. That is absurd. I asked for one to go w the fries and also the burgers but got two... TWO DOLLARS FOR A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF BBQ SAUCE. Totally ridiculous. Also, the burgers come w Cooper sharp cheese and this special sauce which kind of resembles a Big Mac sauce but it has a tiny amount of kick to it. It is tasty. But if you want diff cheese or diff sauce, you get charged. They also offer some unique sodas. I wanted a float but decided to hold off bc it's just so expensive for everything. Anyway, burgers were good. Tasted great. Took w while to cook though. They have condiments out on the counter but the pickles were gone. And I love a lot of pickles. So that needed to be replenished. Plenty of cheese choices, and sauces and toppings to make any combination to your preference. Staff was friendly and attentive. And they give discounts to students, seniors and others as well. We had the mac and cheese bites, which were a creamy texture inside and very cheesy perfect with the garlic aioli, and truffle fries with the siracha ketchup, along with our burgers and shakes, we were so stuffed by the time we finished. Called multiple times and they just don't answer the phone so I drive there because they say they're open.. all to get there and try and call for pickup and they say "they're sold out" 40 minutes before closing.... what? I have to say pictures can be deceiving. Scanning yelp's pictures of the burgers made me question going in because they looked dry and terrible. My sons and I were snackish and had some time to kill in the area so we gave it a shot. We really were just going to split some fries and grab a couple shakes but we decided to try a burger also. Went basic and got a Chuck burger on brioche with pepper cheese and special sauce. It was freaking delicious, so much so that if we weren't due out we would've ordered another round or two. We also split the garlic parmesan fries which I literally ate the aoli by the spoonful at the end, it was that good. The service however stood out and pushes this place to new heights.
