    bacon cheese burger
    Breyanna A.

Burgers are my favorite food ever and I am so glad I found this gem. My bacon cheeseburger was all around amazing! Juicy, cheesy, buns were toasted, and charred patty- what more can you ask for. Inside there is minimal seating so be mindful if you are planning to sit down and eat inside.

My husband picked up lunch from here on one Monday afternoon. We had the Big Haus Burger (double patty, served with caramelized onions, American cheese, two strips of bacon and Haus sauce on an artisan brioche bun), Chopped Cheese (chopped beef patties, served with peppers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and American cheese), and Onion Rings. I must say that the food held up pretty well during a half an hour drive home. The burger was good but a bit pricey for what it was. It reminded me of a Shake Shack burger but just more expensive. The chopped cheese was good. I appreciate that they have this on the menu because chopped cheese is kind of hard to find. The onion rings were probably my favorite part. They were still super crispy after the transit time. I wouldn't mind coming back and eating the food fresh off the grill. I'd probably try the cheesesteak or the crispy chicken sammie.

Where else can you read the history the hamburger and how it landed in NJ while waiting on your order?Love that this place is locally owned! A tad small, but clean and funky (for Clifton). Top bets: the onion rings and vanilla shake. But hey, don't pass on this burgers!

Okay ! Stop looking further.... hands down the best burger joint in the area. Artisan buns, super moist, tastiest veggie patty, gooey cheese and aioli .... droool ! I am so glad I found this place. The onion rings were by far the best I have ever eaten, crisp and hot. We ordered take out and couldn't wait, so ate in the car. The place is open for indoor dining and is very well maintained. Definitely recommend

I would say even though the food was good the price for value was lacking... All the prices on everything we purchase was more than original pricing, eeeerthe price differential was approximately $9. The receipt is for 1haus burger, 1 veggie burger, sliders, cheese fries, & regular fries. The cheese fries were regular fries w/a side of a cheese sauce that wasn't even tasty. The burgers were good... but not an eatery I would drive 20 minutes for..

Price range was really good for the burger and chicken sandwich. But 4$ for 4 onion rings was a rip off. The burger was alright but the chicken Sandwich was so worth it. More of a to go place but does have few seats inside. Great friendly staff there too.

Very fresh ingredients, the onions the Lettuce, even the tomato had a nice slice to it. Fries were nice and crispy but very small portions to be honest. Had onion rings as well very fresh and crispy! But very small portions again I felt like burger was amazing nonetheless it was very juicy. The sunny side up egg on top of it was perfect! bacon was on point as well, hard to find a well done piece of bacon these days haha. Really enjoyed the spot overall and see myself coming back in the far future.

What: The HausBurger - Single patty, (Pat LaFreida, brisket, chuck, short rib blend), lettuce, tomato, red onion, American cheese and HausSauce on potato bun. This was a rare, holy-sh*t ! moment... Those are the words I spoke to myself when I first bit into the Hausburger at BurgerStrasse. I wasn't expecting such a great tasting burger. Everything about it was perfect. It's very similar to a Shake Shack burger with the exception of the Sauce. I liked the HausSauce better because it's a milder version of SS's "ShackSauce" and doesn't compete with the flavor of the burger. There's not much more I can add to the description of this perfectly executed meat sandwich, other than, go try some! This burger gets a 10/10 on the BC rating scale.

Burnt bun, ignored request for sauce/toppings on side, paid extra for Haus sauce only for half filled sauce cup. Chicken sandwich is scrumptious but this is third time in a row I've had an issue with my order. McDonald's has better accuracy which is sad considering the cost of Burgerstrasse food. I don't mind paying more so long as quality matches the price. And on these bad occasions, the chicken is as dry as McDonald's. I'm tired of talking to DoorDash agents and lamenting my wasted appetite. I'm done with this place

Came across this burger joint and decided to give it a try because of the reviews and photos. I ordered a few for my co workers and I. I specifically got the double house burger and some got the big house burger and the single hausburger. For me, I think the burger was alright, it was juicy in the middle but dry on the outside. For my co worker that ordered the bighause they said it was really dry. I also wasn't a big fan of the sauce that came with it. In my opinion, you could taste the "smell of the beef," if that make sense. Would i recommend this place? Yes, give it a try! Would I come back? No, I think one time was enough.

Found this place while in the neighboorhood. My friend and I wanted something quick, cheap and tasty and this place met all expectations. I visited on a Tuesday evening and it was not crowded at all. There is street parking right (free) in front so finding a spot was a breeze. This place is a small and cozy place. They have high chairs and booths in the front maybe like 5-6 tables and towards the back is just the food prep area and bottled drinks. The prices are just right! I ordered the Hausburger ($6) and substituted the beef patty for the black bean patty. It comes with lettuce, tomato, red onions, grilled white onions, American cheese and Haus sauce. Their Haus sauce is a creamy aioli with chipotle, adobo, garlic mayo and olive oil mixed in...DELISH! A side of french fries cost $2.75 and a bottle of water was $2.00. All of this for under $12 which was great! The food was fresh, the french fry portion was just right and the burger buns were soft. Their onion rings are amazing BTW! Definitely recommended for a quick bite if you're in the area!

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

They do have coffee so that's a plus. And the coffee is made with a French press. Very tasty. They have a good menu. Something for everyone. We started off with the guacamole app and clam chowder. The guacamole is plentiful and tasty. Also the salsa was delish too. My table patrons didn't like the clam chowder. They said it was too salty. For the mains we ordered the roasted chicken, hot chicken sandwich and the Cajun seafood alfredo The Hot chicken was divine and huge. You won't be disappointed with that one. Good amount of spice. The roasted chicken was lemon rosemary jus was delicious as well. I ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. As soon as I received my dish I asked the waitress where the sausage was, she couldn't answer but went to get her manager. The manager said normally it's under the pasta. Still, no sausage in the pasta. They apologized and made the sausage and added it to the pasta. I wish that was the only issue. The menu states that it's a cajun Alfredo sauce and hate to say but this was just bland. Not flavorful at all. 2 waiters recommended it but I'm not sure why. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. The portion size was good but again no real taste. Overall this was a nice place. I just need to study the menu and read more reviews about what to order here.

If you get her as your server, it's a start to a pleasant and great meal. Angelina knows what she's talking about! One feedback would be to learn how to better time the serving of the foods. We got our soup and shrimp cocktail as starters but literally 3 minutes later, our entrees were served to the table. Our entrees got cold while we tried to finish our starters. Please look to have the servers better time the serving of entrees AFTER the starters are finished. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Prime rib. The clam chowder was tasty but lacked clams. They added andouille sausage to the chowder to give it a nice tasty twist but this should not have taken away from the amount of clams expected in a clam chowder. Prime rib was a good thick cut. But served warm and almost at room temperature. Not exactly how I would like my prime rib. Shoe string fries were tasty. My boyfriend ordered the Clam Chowder and Shrimp Cocktail as starters, followed by Cajun Sea Pasta and a bunch of side dishes - southern Coke slaw, black beans and rice and the loaded baked potato. Shrimps in the shrimp cocktail was good sized shrimp topped with old bay seasoning. The pasta was seasoned just right, very tasty and delicious. Cole slaw was crunchy which meant the Cole slaw was freshly made and not sitting in the sauce for too long. Loaded baked potato was of good size and baked to the right softness. Black beans and rice was the only side dish that was a bit too salty but went great when mixed with the baked potato. Overall, we were impressed with Angelina's services, friendliness of the staff and quality of the foods.

The outside was heavily breaded with bread crumbs and the top was sprinkled with parmesan cheese and chopped scallions. Even the dipping cup was supersized to accommodate the diameter of the stick! Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
