Nothing much to say. It's been something like 20 years since I've been to a Burgerville, and that may just have been to have one of their blackberry shakes (which are delicious) so it's possible I haven't had food before. On the way from the airport I needed sustenance but was left wanting. I ordered a burger that was too expensive for a fast food joint and the bacon was nowhere near cooked; it was still translucent. And the burger overall was just mediocre even when I took off the offending bacon. Fries were fine, but not great. With the best part of the meal being the strawberry lemonade, it's far from a ringing endorsement.

This place stuns me every time i go out to eat. Always something great about the food! I go here with my dad a lot and the service there is always great. Speaking of the service, they are always great people no matter where I go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the ambience as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very good stuff and keep it up!

I went to burgerville on this fine summer day, with a delicious burgerville chocolate shake in mind. When I walked inside, an elegant breeze of fresh air hit my face and I was in a strong state of happiness. I walked up to the newly refurbished counter where the food is ordered and I was greeted by the wonderful employee. Then, without a second to waste, I hit them with my order and out came the delectable chocolate milkshake, cold and sweet as could be. I grabbed my straw, and a napkin too, and sucked it into my mouth, without further ado. Suddenly, the power of the chocolate flavor became... TOO POWERFUL... and I had to excuse myself to make a daring escape to the burgerville's complimentary bathroom, and I threw Up in the toilet. Very good job burgerville, your milkshakes are beyond delicious.

Staple burger place when visiting Oregon. We ordered the Blazin hot pepper crispy chicken sandwich and rosemary salt fries as well as an array of dipping sauces. Chipotle mayo and garlic aioli were my favorite sauces. Also the cold brew milkshake was excellent!

I was originally going to go to taco bell (what a mistake that would have been). I saw this as I was driving by and thought I should give it a try. The beef tacos came out wonderfully like little steak bites in corn shells. Just the right amount of spice and veggies. I will definitely stop back when I'm in the Tigard area as this was just to tasty to pass up again. They do have indoor dining too I just didn't stop inside. So, I cannot comment on the ambiance of the dining room. Don't pass this one up.

Their breakfast burritos are tasty, simple, and while sometimes inconsistent, are still a nice warm meal first thing on a Saturday. However, in the last few months, every time I enter, there's a Sonos speaker that is playing music ON BLAST. It's been in a few different locations; over the condiment bar, or behind the register near the kitchen, and at such a volume that I could barely hear the employee at the register, and I had to raise my voice to be heard by them. Additionally, the employee that normally works the register does the bare minimum you would expect for someone taking your order at a register. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. I get my order out in in a timely manner, but I get the sense that, while this is a family-run restaurant, they're not necessarily including their patrons as part of that family. I think their main challenge is their drive thru. They seem to have one person working the register, drive thru, and handling incoming phone orders the majority of the times I've come in. I'll never skip out on this place, but I avoid dining in anymore. You don't come for the vibes or service, really just a quick and tasty meal.

The location wasn't overly busy, but it stayed steadily active, and staff continued checking on me every few minutes. After waiting more than 30 minutes, we still hadn't received any food or drinks, while customers who ordered after us were already being served. We checked on our order twice because our children were hungry and there seemed to be no progress. We were told there were computer system issues, which we understood, so we continued to wait. Eventually, after more than half an hour with nothing received, we requested a refund. While the restaurant refunded the food charges, they did not refund the tip. That was unacceptable. Not only was our time wasted, but we were essentially charged for service we never received. What made the situation worse was the lack of customer service. The manager's response felt dismissive, and there was no genuine apology or effort to make things right. A brief "sorry about that" at the end came across as an afterthought rather than sincere concern. It's now nearly a week later, and I still have not received a refund for the tip. Person in charge said they cannot refund my tip from the store but it must be corporate. Wrote a little note on my receipt, put it in the drawer and said they will submit a request. I left feeling completely ripped off and unvalued as a customer. The impression I got was that because this location is in Bridgeport and likely has plenty of business, losing a customer simply didn't matter. Mistakes happen, especially during busy periods. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience was handled poorly.

When we walked in for a Sunday dinner, we were greeted with the smell of roasting chicken and charcoal, a promising sign from the very start. It was pretty busy inside, but after ordering at the counter, the food only took about 15 minutes to arrive. Whole Chicken Meal ($27.74) - The meal comes with two 12 oz sides, an 8oz salsa, and either corn or flour tortillas. For the sides we went with the classic Mexican Rice and the Refried Beans. Both are pretty standard stuff from a Mexican restaurant. The rice is tender with still distinct grains, has an reddish color from tomatoes, and adds a scant amount of veggies mixed through. The beans are mostly smooth throughout, fatty and creamy. We went with the corn tortillas, of which they provide a whole stack of twelve, warmed until steaming, making them hot, soft, and pliable, perfect to eat with the chicken and sides. The chicken is legitimately amazing. Basically the entire restaurant smells like chicken fat being charred over mesquite. It's a mesmerizing smell that made me salivate upon walking in. The chicken is whole roasted with the dark meat and wings being cooked until succulent and juicy. The interior of the breasts are a bit dry, but there's not much that can be done with this cooking method! Otherwise, the char is excellent, creating an almost crust-like nature to the skin and the spice mix imbues a yellow glow to the entire tray. They give so much food that we only finished perhaps a quarter of it. We ended up bringing the rest home on our drive up the next day and ate it for another couple of meals. (5/5) I especially love their salsa bar off to the side of the main counter. There's so much variety, there's surely something to please anyone. They have a mild tomato, a mild but smoky, a spicy and fruity, a green tangy tomatillo, a creamy avocado, a crunchy fresh pico de gallo, a smoky and spicy, and a tangy and spicy salsa - basically all combinations someone could ask for. Even the spiciest additions are still very tolerable to my tastes. We were impressed enough to visit again the next day for lunch: Supreme Burrito al Pastor ($14.37) - This is hefty burrito, almost Mission-sized, being around 4 inch in diameter with the weight to match. It's first filled with plenty of Mexican rice, same as with the meal. For some reason, this time, the rice is hard and tough, like they had reached down to scrape the bottom of the rice cooker. It would likely be the most coveted portion of rice in a tagine or clay pot, but in a burrito, the toughness doesn't work well. On top of the rice are the refried beans, spooned over intermittently. It adds creaminess and fat to the otherwise dry exterior layers. Then the layer of meat begins - cubed pork, marinated in a savory and sweet sauce, then mixed up with chopped pineapples. It's more adobada than al pastor, and is on the sweeter end of things with the pineapple. The spice mixture isn't the most notable; they definitely focus on the chicken at El Jefe vs. the pork. Veggies, including lettuce and a pico de gallo mix cover the meat, followed by thinly shredded cheese and sour cream, which is thick and rich, perhaps more resembling crema than cream, and some guacamole, tangy and fatty. It's not the most even application - for example, the guac only covers one end of the burrito while the sour cream covers the other end. (4/5) I have to say, the chicken served at EL Jefe Grill is perfection. I would revisit just for that. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms Note: El Jefe charges a 2.9% credit card fee. This is displayed at the register, but they have their POS set up incorrectly. Firstly, they lump the cost into the menu item instead of separating it out into a fee. Secondly, they actually charge a random fee rather than 2.9%. For example, the whole chicken meal is 3.1% and the supreme burrito is 2.7%. Very bizarre. I reported it to their management so hopefully it gets fixed soon.
