They have 104 to visit, which some have closed since. Today this marks 101st and only 1 or 2 remaining to say I visited them all soon. My recent visit to Stick City Brewery in Mars, PA, left me thoroughly impressed and convinced that this brewery is a standout gem in the local beer scene. This may be my all-time favorite visit that has the best setup compared to all of the other places from a theme standpoint. Upon entering Stick City, you're greeted by a vibrant and friendly atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable visit. The industrial-chic decor and comfortable seating create a relaxed environment, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends or family. Now, let's talk beer - and Stick City Brewery knows how to brew some exceptional ones. The beer menu is a testament to the brewers' creativity and commitment to quality. Perfect spot for great vibes and great beer. This place has great indoor and outdoor ambiance all year round with lots of seating. Most days feature rotating food trucks as well! I've been coming here for years and love supporting local business. As a newly sober person, my only suggestion is to offer some N/A options for those who want to enjoy beer on property without the alcohol. Currently the only option is tap water but would love to see them create their take on an N/A brew or even cary some Athletic Brewing. read more

I really like that you can bring your dogs inside. It was a cold drizzly day and several patrons had their dogs inside with them. I am so happy this place is 2 mins from where I live! Their beer is always great. The servers (bartenders) are always prompt and friendly. And I love the inside and out of the brewery. They have a tv for key sports that me be on. Outside they have fire pits, heaters, and tables under tents (and outside the tents) so many options for seating. I stopped by here yesterday with my wife for some Saturday afternoon drinks. We had been wanting to visit Stick City Brewing for awhile now but had generally found ourself in Cranberry on Sunday's when they aren't open. Thankfully on this Saturday we were looking for something to do and so headed on up. The inside of the brewery feels large, probably due to it being an old firehouse with large ceilings for the trucks. It was decorated with string lights throughout with a bar and seating on one side and then a caged in area with kegs, fermenters, etc on the other. They also have an outdoor area which had a fire going in it but the subzero temperatures kept us inside. We still did partake in some of their Adirondack chairs, which I imagine they had moved inside for the winter, due to it being crowded from a birthday party. I should also mention that the inside is dog friendly and they were about 3 or 4 dogs taking advantage of that. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I tried to order a sampler here. Stick City doesn't do that though but they do offer 5 ounce pours for $2.50 each. So I went with four of them for $10, essentially making my own flight. The beers that I chose were Dry Fly I Adams (IPA), Sticks 2 (IPA), Neptune 2000 (IPA) and Cabotsquatch (brown). I started with the Dry Fly which was the lightest colored of the IPAs with a straw yellow color unlike the golden hue of the other two IPAs. It ended being pretty good with a nice clean start before a big hit of hops at the finish. Up second was the Sticks 2 which also started out clean before proceeding into the hops. It wasn't as in your face as the first IPA and the hops had an almost fruity flavor to them. The third beer that i tried was the neptune 2000. While the highest in ABV out of the bunch it was almost the least hop forward. Last but certainly not least was the Cabotsquatch. It tasted nicely and had a sweet caramel finish to it. Out of the bunch I think that I would have to pick the Sticks 2 as my favorite although all were good and interesting. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. Stick City Brewing has quite a cool space and the beers were good too. read more

I came here with my wife after hearing some good things about Stick City from some friends and coworkers. It wasn't too hard to find right in downtown Mars and plenty of parking around. When we arrived there was a pizza food truck outside, a decent line of people waiting to get beer, and quite a few people outside with their dogs. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and very inviting. I could see spending a couple hours here with my dogs, having a beer, and eating from whichever food truck was there. My wife and I stayed to sample just a few beers. The menu had a number of IPAs which aren't my favorite. However, the one I did have was very light and not too hoppy. Fairly unique taste so kudos to being able to pull that off. Hope to be back here soon and this time we'll bring our dogs for a nice afternoon. read more

Really cool and badly-needed addition to the little town of Mars. Kid and dog friendly, especially during the warmer months. They're still open but there's less space to move about when the winter rolls around. Some tailgating type games for the adults and sidewalk chalk for the kids. They have a few wood firepits for the chillier nights. Great rotating cast of food trucks, everything from wood-fired pizza to Indian to the Primanti's truck. The beer? It's very good and getting better. They have a nice array of slightly different IPA's as well as some pales, browns, and stouts. Fun, laid back place right around the corner from the little flying saucer in Mars. Totally recommend. read more

This is such an awesome brewery and had a great time at my first visit here. There were about 6 beers on the menu and I tried their IPA. It was excellent! With so many breweries in Pittsburgh it's sometimes hard to chose but this should definitely be a stop on your list. Also an added bonus is that it is dog friendly on the patio. Great place to meet and have a beer or two! Stick City had opened in April of 2018 and we were able to join my daughter and son-in-law for the first time there. They have three beer sizes 5 -10 - 15 oz. for $2.50 to $6. You can also get a growler. I enjoyed a Orographic Fog which was a very smooth IPA with a nice fruit/citrus finish. My wife was very happy that they have some wines available for the non-beer drinker (yeah, I don't get either...). They have a nice bar area that can open to the outside as it was tonight and they have outside seating. The only downside I saw was that parking was limited and we had find / make a place and they don't have any games or much room to have them. Overall we had a good time and will be back as it very close to their house. read more

Love this place! So great to see a brewery home grown here in Mars! This place will win against any of the breweries in and around downtown Pittsburgh. Great inside seating, amazing outside area, fantastic beer selection (all great tasting) and they bring in food trucks! I have seen many breweries pop up. Some have been good and some have been bad. Another great home-town brewery, that allows dogs. The beer was really great and we loved the atmosphere. You could tell this was definitely a place for locals. No food, but on the day we went they did have a Mexican food stand. The brewery was in such a cute little neighborhood, we even walked around after and got some of the best icecream down the street at a local creamery/bakery! We will definitely return next time we want to get some drinks with our pup. read more

I visited this place one week after opening under PA green restrictions. The beer was quite good, but compliance with the posted requirements was horrible. I was in line twice both times with two parties ahead of me. None of those four group (totaling six people)were wearing masks. Nothing was said to them, but that's not surprising since the three people behind the bar weren't wearing masks either. I watched one of the tables near me vacate of six people and nobody came to wipe it down before it was re-occupied. read more
