The Burg'r Bar was recommended by some coworkers so we went for lunch. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere is western style. Service was attentive. We started with an appetizer, the Pickle Fries. They were Spears in shape and a home made ranch dipping sauce we all like them. My burger choice is the Charlotte Patty Melt. The burger was cooked to a good temperature have to say really enjoyed the sourdough bread. $17 is a little expensive for a burger and one side. It's pretty expensive. Overall good atmosphere. Burger was tasty and the pickle fries were definitely good.

Corned and Confused take on English Muffin. Not recommended.

A Classic Case of if it Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It. Our favorite restaurant (after Hurricane Charley's) for many years, Burg'r Bar is unfortunately under new ownership. Presumably Mother Goose, judging by the ridiculous menu titles and the stupid cow pix on the walls (this is a bar after all, not a Chuckie Cheese). But let's get to the important part - the food. Gone is the coconut French toast, a dish so good that we used to order extra to take home. A lot of other favorites were removed as well. I ordered a Corned and Confused from the Pasture Poached portion of the menu. Aptly named, as the kitchen is very confused about what corned beef hash is. I received two tiny English Muffins with little bits of hash browns on them and the toughest chunks of corned beef I've ever tried to eat. The Hollandaise sauce was good. This was $15. Not impressed. I'm so upset with the hatchet job that has been done to a once beloved restaurant I don't know what else to say. The good part is that we didn't have to wait in line, which at 1030 on a Friday morning in season is weird. Or not. Our server was excellent and we tipped her extra cause she's probably taking home a lot less these days. What a shame.

This is our favorite go to restaurant after taking Freckles to the dog park. We sit on the patio with her and enjoy the beautiful weather. The first thing I noticed was that the menu was changed into a hodgepodge of different items. Before it was easy to order, pick your protein, cheese, bread, toppings and one side. The prices were reasonable and the staff were super friendly. I ordered the BLT with turkey and a side of their homemade chips. It was supposed to be on pretzel bread, which I'm pretty sure I didn't get. The sandwich was placed on a tray that was too small and one half of the sandwich was on top of the other. I asked if the management had changed and the answer was YES. Dave had more complaints than I! He ordered a hamburger medium with a side of onion rings. He also added on crispy bacon which wasn't crispy. The hamburger was inconsistent and rare. The onion rings weren't thoroughly cooked - never had this problem before. He asked to see the manager who asked us what we wanted to be comped on. Dave said nothing, just letting you know the quality of dinner was not what it used to be. She offered us cheesecake and we took whatever it was home with us, it was a bunch of cookies and some gooey concoction that wasn't cheesecake. Also let's talk about prices. They are definitely much more with this extensive menu. A hot dog is now $14 with a side and two toppings. Our check was $40 without tax and tip. This included one beer and an iced tea. We might as well go to Bonefish and Carrabba's where the consistency is usually good. Also there was no sign of the old familiar staff.

Our happy hour drafts and the menu. We were sitting at the bar.

So we are looking for a friendly fun bar, and thought we'd try out Burg'r Bar. We came during happy hour so our draft domestics were cheaper. They came with a frosty mug and a smile. Our bartender was pleasant and helpful. The place was busy with lots of folks. Parking was the toughest part but doable. We had a few drafts before deciding to share a Build your own Burg'r. We selected a burger with cheese and egg - and a side of sweet potatoes fries. It came out on a small tin plate. The gave us another plate too. The burger was big and with the toppings- huge! The sweet potatoes fries were hot and seasoned just right. Good thing we decided to share. Still too much to eat for us but oooh so yummy! We finished it off and loved it! What a great place for cold drafts, friendly workers, and an amazing burg'r, Give it a try. It's on our list of places to return to for food and drinks.

Had never been here before so figured we would try it. Located off 41 northbound. I ordered the Burger of the day candied jalapeños, bacon burger on buttered toast with upgraded side onion rings $13.50 + $2 for onion rings. I wouldn't go with the onion rings, they were not worth it. My wife had the bacon blue burger, bacon burger with blue cheese. She liked it. Food came out fast. Sever was on point. There is also a alcohol bar inside so if you like a drink with your meal they have a good setup. We just stopped for a quick lunch so no drinks for us this time. Was clean inside. With the exception of the burger of the day their burgers are a little more on the higher side for a burger if you are trying to stay cheaper, but you do get what you pay for. Burgers were fresh and made to your liking, medium rare/medium/etc....

Great service! Pet friendly. We weren't in a hurry but food arrived hot! The french fries are delicious too.

We have been wanting to try this place, and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend has been craving it ever since we went. Our service was great, and very quick as we arrived right after they opened. The inside is small, and it does fill up fast at times, and I see why! We tried to go one time before and the wait was too long for us at that time. The appetizer was great, I love most things potato! It was like a super thick tator tot. He got the sliders, then I got a small cup of chili and Mac n cheese and made my own chili Mac as I wasn't feeling a burger. I'm sure we will go back soon when we are craving some burgers!

She found Leroy's Southern Kitchen & Bar in Punta Gorda, and let me tell you this place isn't a restaurant it's a whole Saturday night experience! I walked in thinking there had to be a festival, birthday party, or somebody famous in town. Nope! That's just how they roll every Saturday. Live music, people dancing, everyone smiling I started wondering if they slipped happiness into the sweet tea. Now the wife ordered the Nevermind Pressed Burger with extra cheese and black coffee steak sauce. NEVERMIND?? More like Never mind my diet! One bite then another then another and suddenly her plate looked like the dishwasher had already been there. The burger was cooked perfectly, juicy, cheesy, and that steak sauce should be illegal in at least 12 states. Meanwhile, I ordered the 10 oz. Skirt Steak with jasmine rice, carrots, green onions, and their house made Asian marinade. Listen whoever made that sauce I need the recipe, your autograph, and your retirement plan. I was this close to asking for a to go cup so I could pour it on my cereal tomorrow morning. Mama mia that steak disappeared faster than my paycheck after my wife says, Let's just stop at one more store. Then dessert happened. We saw our neighbors order the homemade Banana Nilla Pudding special. My wife looked at me with that look that says, We're getting one. Fellas you already know that's not a suggestion. Well she got one. I got exactly three bites. THREE! ‍ By the time I looked back, the jar was cleaner than the windows at a car wash. Dear Lord now I understand why my doctor keeps telling me to watch my sugar. That pudding almost had me scheduling my next A1C appointment from the table. The live band had me singing songs from back in the day don't ask which ones. Some of y'all are detectives and I'm not giving away my age! And a huge shout-out to Athena! She knew that menu like she wrote it herself. Friendly, funny, attentive she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. So thank you, Uncle Leroy! Between the food, the music, the atmosphere, and my wife stealing 97% of the dessert, this was the perfect way to end an unforgettable Father's Day getaway. Five stars. Come hungry leave happy and if you order the Banana Nilla Pudding, order TWO. One for your wife and one that you hide under the table. Trust me.

Our waitress, Rhonda was just as friendly and attentive, and honestly, I can't say enough about how welcoming everyone was. My mother and I both felt comfortable and taken care of, which really made the experience enjoyable. We both ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of breakfast potatoes. The biscuits and gravy were very good, and I especially liked that they toast the biscuit before putting the gravy on top. The sausage gravy had nice-sized chunks of sausage rather than tiny crumbles that you can barely tell are sausage, which I really enjoyed. My only complaint was that the gravy was a little too peppery for my taste and I love pepper. The breakfast potatoes were delicious, although they were a little too salty for me. The price of the biscuits and gravy was reasonable and pretty much what I expected, but some of the other menu items seemed a little on the expensive side for a basic breakfast restaurant. The restaurant itself is definitely a basic, no-frills kind of place, and there are a few things that could use some attention. The bathroom, in particular, needs a good deep cleaning and probably a fresh coat of paint. The toilet was clean, but the walls and overall bathroom area looked like they needed some serious scrubbing and TLC. That said, I would definitely go back. The food was good, the service was wonderful, and the welcoming atmosphere really stood out to me. It's also convenient to where my mother lives, which is a big plus. Sometimes a friendly staff and a place that makes you feel welcome go a long way, and Family Grill definitely did that for us.

Ok! I got dressed up and walked over there. My table was ready on time; it was in the lounge area of the restaurant. They offered me the table or said I could sit at the bar. I opted to sit at the bar. The bar was almost full but people were leaving. Apparently people eat early there. The bartender was swamped but smiled and got me a glass of water. Soon I had menus. I like that they have a regular menu as well as a specials menu, including the usual cocktails and some special cocktails. I ordered the conquest, which seemed like a twist on an old fashioned. They offered bread or focaccia bread, I declined. And heads up- bread service is not included. It's an up charge. Normally I don't care but I was having dessert, not bread. I had the halibut special. It was phenomenal. One of the guys from the kitchen dropped it off and asked if I needed anything'- I replied salt. I find that I need salt often at restaurants. They brought the salt out real fast! I had a bite and determined it didn't need any more salt- it was perfectly salted! Woohoo! Fantastic. I ate my whole dish and then I savored my cocktail. The bartender wasn't much for conversation , as she was very busy, alone, covering the entire bar and drinks for the whole restaurant. She did invite me to try dessert, and mentioned a coconut cream cake that was not on the menu. I agreed to it and it was heavenly. Seemed like cheesecake icing with fluffy layers of cake and subtle coconut flakes throughout. The chocolate ice cream was weird at first but then I realized it's like almond joy/ mounds - coconut and chocolate are often paired. The espresso crumble gave it a nice crunch and there was caramel all over the plate. Wow! I took the majority of the cake home. It was a large portion and indulgent. I paid my tab and finished my drink. I was not rushed. I would go back again. It's a bit pricey. The fish special was $58. The cocktail was $17 and the dessert was $16. So one person, who did not add on the bread service, was $91. It's expensive. I would emphasize you can probably get a seat at the bar if you can't get a reservation. Also- the entrance is hard to find. It's in the parking lot and not facing the main road. I got a little lost walking there. The signage is poor. I can't imagine going there the first time in the dark. So give yourself a couple extra minutes if it's your first time going there.

Starting off with the ambience, the place is SUPER cute, decorated with a color theme I call "sherbet whimsy" with a smattering of smiling emojis. Our party of 6 was warmly greeted at the counter and immediately seated together. We started off with their delicious coffee, some hot & some cold...all excellent! The menu is fairly extensive for a breakfast joint, so the server gave us some good recommendations & said everything here is house made. Wow! OK... so we all got different menu items, and despite being warned about the HUGE portions...we could not have fathomed how large they are, but the prices do reflect how much food you're going to get! The breakfast burrito could easily feed four people. Our lone young male in the group - who might have a tapeworm based upon his ability to devour gigantic amounts of food - did his best, but could only consume about 2/3 of it. He said it was amazing, especially when paired with their delicious house made hot sauce. Two of us got two different bennie breakfasts, and raved about the hollandaise, the stretched "biscuits" & the fried chicken. Despite being smallish young ladies, they put a good dent in their meals. One of us got the outstanding corned beef hash, and thankfully generously shared with yours truly!! She could not eat even half of her meal, so I was glad to help out! :) The corned beef hash is not your standard ground-up version from a can. It is house made, with larger bits of potato, corned beef, onions & peppers. They get a perfect scald on it & serve it up with eggs & thick sliced perfectly toasted/buttered toast. My picky husband got the chorizo scramble with a side of fruit & really enjoyed it. I got the fantastic avocado toast with a side of potatoes. Everything was perfect... the thick slices of toasted wheat bread adorned with melted cheese then topped with very fresh & perfectly ripe avocado slices. I didn't prefer their scrambled eggs & should have gotten them fried instead, but it was still perfectly good, especially when dipped in their hot sauce. Thankfully my husband shared some of his fresh fruit, which was ripe & good. I dipped the pineapple into that hot sauce, which was delicious together. The place is very clean, including the bathrooms. The clientele were a menagerie from various demographics...retirees, blue collar workers, bikers, vacationers; everyone was pleasant & seemed to be enjoying their meals. This was one of the better meals we had during our trip, and definitely the best breakfast by far. It's so close to the airport, too. I'm so glad we got up early enough to be able to fit in a stop here before catching our flight home.
