It's from the days when Honda's residential mowers had commercial quality and has been a stalwart for my family for 38 years. I couldn't find parts to fix it myself and brought it to the Mower Shop. They repaired the cable and gave me a full tune and the cost was far less than buying a new, lesser quality mower. The repairs took 1 week, which I consider fast for this time of year when everyone is getting there machines ready for summer. Highly recommend.

These things come to the dealer shipped with a quart of oil on the side. I now assume dealer put the oil in it as they tested it before bringing it to me. Because we were out of the state for much a year we took it back to SISKUN in May 2025 for a check. They discovered internal engine damage (we only started the mower a maximum of 6 times due to weather and our in-state presence). When working with Honda SISKUN told them it looked like the engine had been run low on oil. We didn't run it enough to run low and when I checked the oil level it was good. But Siskun's statement to Honda caused Honda to refuse support. SISKUN disassembled the engine and returned the parts in a box.

I took my mower to Consumer Rental, who at that time repaired mowers, and they got my Snapper mower running flawless. Oh BTW, I still have that mower, and it still runs great, 20 years after the owner of The Shop told me it was no good and needed to be thrown away. Now let's talk about my gas weed eater that The Shop serviced. A month after they serviced my Stihl Weed Eater I started having trouble with it. I brought it back and asked the owner if he could look at it. He said they didn't service this brand, even though the tag was still on it from just a month ago when they serviced it last! How is that for service? I would only give them two stars, but the owners wife makes really good cookies, I enjoy them and always look for them when I walk in. Not sure I'll ever go back now that there are other options in town.
