Was helped twice by Michael. First for our dish washer , for which he installed a new motor. Second time for our washer, where he honestly advised me that it would be better to buy a new one than having him fix it. Both repairs occurred during the pandemic. Can't say enough about how glad I am to have found them. Michael came out to fix our fridge and was very professional, thorough in his assessment, honest and transparent in pricing, and excellent in communicating the troubleshooting thought process involved. Efficient booking of Green Machine (Mike) with receptionist, to address a water filter/ice making concern. Mike called tenants on the day of service, and reported back the suspected concern needed a new part. He promptly ordered the part and was able to return within a week to install. November 2020 - Called for service/repair on an oven; they said tech was out on Paternity leave until after the new year. GREAT for being a new dad; However, reception didn't offer any alternative or recommendation for our needs of service repair, and instead said to call the manufacturer. One day I noticed my freezer would periodically thaw and then refreeze. This means one day my ice cream would be mushy and then rock hard the next - can't have that! I contacted Mike at Green Machine Appliance Repair and he was able to fit me in quickly. He showed up right on time. He was very courteous in diagnosing the problem and explained in easy to understand terms what could possibly be happening. There were several possibilities ranging from easy fixes to more expensive. He suggested starting out with the easiest and least expensive fix first and moving on from there. It turned out the relatively easy fix cured the issue after all! All Mike had to do was vacuum the coils underneath the fridge with his super fancy vacuum attachments and my fridge resumed normal operations. As a first time homeowner, I did not know this was A Thing. Apparently neither did the previous homeowner - yikes! So much dust! Mike explained that in the future I could vacuum the coils with my regular vacuum as preventative maintenance and that I should do it yearly. First of all, I love it that Mike responded to me quickly and left messages at both phone numbers I listed--his competitor didn't even bother to return my call until 5 days later! On his voicemail message to me, he mentioned he texts, so when scheduling our first appointment we skipped the phone tag altogether. After getting left high and dry by Sears home to see about getting my dryer repaired, I scoured Yelp and found this place and all it's glowing reviews about his service and punctuality. Right off the bat, after I told Mike my problem, he recommended I try a slew of quick fixes (empty out the lint trap, see if there's blockage on the exhaust, etc.) before even thinking about setting an appointment up. A guy who would rather see me possibly fix my own problem if it were minor before even thinking about taking my money? Color me impressed. Unfortunately, the tips didn't solve the situation, so I booked him to take a more refined look. Mike showed up on time, and even though the issue wasn't fixable, he gave me a very descriptive breakdown of the condition my dryer was in, what needed repair but wasn't cost effective to do so(another opportunity to make money but didn't take it), and how I could possibly alleviate my two cycle drying. I called for help with my dishwasher and he was able to diagnose that it was an electrical issue, rather than anything wrong with the dishwasher. I am deeply suspicious of what just happened. Our dryer was no longer making any heat, so I called Mike at Green Machine. He was courteous. He was on time. He was friendly. He zeroed in on the problem, and gave me a clear explanation of what was wrong. He came back a few days later with the part, and fixed it for a very fair price. Mike, that's not how appliance repair is supposed to work! Your supposed to show up 2 hours late, with a vague mumbled apology. Your supposed to be surly and evasive about what is wrong with the appliance. Your supposed to charge the customer 3x what the job is worth, then pad the bill with a bunch of unnecessary baloney like, "Schnitzel filter needed replacement", or "Plasmafractal ducts needed cleaning". Michael, the owner and technician, did a fantastic job fixing our Samsung dryer (no heat but blowing air). He diagnosed the problem quickly, provided an estimate that seemed reasonable AND, most importantly, drove to Tukwila to pick up the part on a Friday afternoon before the holiday weekend. Michael returned as promised late in the afternoon and had us up and running before the weekend. I have had numerous repair companies that arrive late, without the requisite parts, and no sense of urgency on returning with the part at a later date; clearly a problem with mission critical home appliances. My clothes dryer started to make a lot of noise and I figured I would have to replace it. I decided to spend a few bucks and have someone take a look at it. I gave Mike at Green Machine a try based on the Yelp reviews. Mike asked a lot a questions on the phone and he said he charges $79 for a service call. He came out the next day and started working away on it. He took the machine apart and cleaned it but the noise was still present. He said he could take it to the next level and if he fixed it the cost would be $150. If he couldn't fix it he would just charge me the $79 service call. He probably spent a total of 1.5 hours working on it and found that one of the blower mounts had come loose. He tightened it up and now the machine is running quiet again. The work was done over a month ago and the noise hasn't come back. I am happy with the repair and would recommend him to my friends. read more

So glad that my home is in their service area. We had another company out first to look at the Electrolux dryer. He said the 4 year old dryer needed a new motor ($400!). Okay, paid the service charge and never heard back(?). So after looking at reviews called Cindy @ Green Machine. This place should be called "Ninja Appliance Repair" because I swear I didn't know it happened until I saw the fixed dryer. My wife and I have a house with a Natural Gas hookup and a natural gas dryer to go with it. At some point, it stopped heating up, so you could still dry clothes in it, but it took a long time to do so. Anyway, my wife and I decided we should try to track down the problem with the help of Youtube videos about dryer repair and a multimeter. After slowing dismantling the dryer and checking every electrical component, we determined that the dryer wasn't broken. Given that it was, we gave up and left the dryer like a dismembered body in the basement...not that we keep a dismembered body in the basement--I mean, think of the stench. You have to deal with those things quickly. So, we went about Yelping different places and this one had pretty good reviews, so we called them up. By "We" I mean my wife did. She scheduled an appointment for a day that she had off and here is where all the really praise-worthy stuff comes in. When the repair person showed up--it was exactly when he said he'd be there. He was cheerful and friendly. He quickly identified the part that went out--something that regulates the flow of gas and as a safety precaution stops letting gas through when it fails, presumably because most people who appreciate dry clothing still disapprove of being blown to bits by a gas leak in the middle of the night. He had the replacement part with him, identified it, priced it in his book and showed it all to my wife before proceeding. His performance was professional, friendly, very quick, and billing was straight forward. We never felt like he was dealing with us in an unfair manner and would absolutely recommend him to anyone. Called for an assessment time on Thursday and he was able to come out on Tuesday. I was concerned about receptionist issues after reading past reviews but I didn't have a problem. I was put on hold a couple times while making the call to schedule but was able to get scheduled quickly. Mike came at the beginning of the time window to do an assessment of our washing machine and called about 15 minutes before he arrived. Ultimately the machine is not able to be repaired and we will have a buy a new one. Mike was very thorough in his explanation of what was wrong with the machine and why it would not be worth it to repair. He came wearing an N95 mask, gloves, and shoe covers which is good practice in these times of COVID. We will definitely consider Green Machine for future repair needs. read more

I have contacted mike through his site at least 4x about the dishwasher repair not fixing the problem (and it seemed he didn't repair the problem I needed help with on it, which was that the soap dispenser wouldn't open). I just figured he knew what he was doing so the obstructions were related to both issues but nope. Anyway, he's never gotten back to me, so I paid $100 for nothing. I really wanted to use Green Machine, and was happy to see Bosch listed on their home page as a brand they serviced, because I'd been told by others that they didn't handle that. Turns out they don't service Bosch after all. I told them they ought to take that off their website, but it's still there. Just a warning to folks with Bosch machines... don't waste your time. I'll seriously consider them next time I have trouble with an appliance by a different manufacturer, but unless it's a mega-common one like Frigidaire, Hotpoint, KitchenAid, Maytag, Kenmore, Whirlpool, GE (you get the drift) I don't know if I can trust their list and would rather not waste my time.
