Worst gas station EVER!!!!!!!! I have now driven in to full service area twice and not had anyone…read morecome out to pump gas. I have a knee injury so getting in and out is painful and our laws allow for full service. They consider it optional here. The first time I called and reluctantly a gas attendant came out and said he would start the gas but I would have to finish it. I hadn't been back in months to what is my neighborhood gas station but I went back tonight and saw the same gas attendant inside at 8:21 pm on 7/29/25 and he walked in front of the sliding doors several times and this time no one picked up the phone. I drove away without gas and will NEVER RETURN. In Oregon, the law allowing self-service gas at retail stations, specifically House Bill 2426, was signed into law in August 2023. This bill lifted a long-standing ban on self-service fueling, which had been in place since 1951. The new law allows, but does not require, gas stations to offer self-service pumps, with the stipulation that they cannot have more self-service pumps than full-service pumps at any given station. The price for self-service and full-service must also be the same. Here's a more detailed breakdown: Historical Context: Oregon had banned self-service gas since 1951, citing safety concerns. HB 2426: This bill allows gas stations to offer self-service, but it is not mandatory. Key Provisions: Full-service requirement: Gas stations must have at least as many full-service pumps as self-service pumps. Oregon gas law does not require full-service pump attendants, but it does require that gas stations in the 16 most populated counties offer at least one attendant gas station employee in those communities be available at all times to pump gas. Multnomah county being one of the largest counties in the state - they are required to provide full service. In the other 20 counties, self-service is allowed at all pumps, but stations must still have someone available to assist if needed. This station is not in compliance with the law as outlined as they refuse to pump gas during operational hours. Price parity: Self-service and full-service prices must be the same. State Fire Marshal oversight: The Oregon State Fire Marshal has the authority to enforce the law and ensure compliance.

While we may stop here to do a top off on our gas as we head out for the day, my personal biggest reason for a quick stop is to purchase my lottery ticket(s). The convenience store provides convenient parking which makes it easy to stop in quickly. The store itself is clean and frequently there may only be 1 or 2 other individuals in front of me. I will continue to use this as my local drop in for the lottery, especially as I watch the Mega Millions continue to grow.

When I asked the clerk about this he said the problem has been ongoing for months. Don't waste your time. If this station hates its customers this much, they might as well shut it down. Also, the "full service" is never staffed so that's sketchy AF.

I've know Bob for over 50 years since we first met as Kindergartners in Estherville Iowa. As such, I would have preferred that my Son be there too, especially since Bob has Boys of his age (and younger!). However, I also knew that I didn't want to "die" on that hill. :) The Kid is very responsible and called me on time to let me know that it was time to pick him up. He had a nice full evening, as did I. My Son was ready to go when I arrived. Unfortunately, the gas gauge read empty and I needed some petrol before heading back the Hotel. Since I was past the point of price shopping, this Union 76 Service Station was in direct sight and convenience. The Station seemed a little dark and tattered when I pulled in. I was ready to "gas and go", but soon remember that this was Oregon and that I needed "help". The attendant had just stepped inside (for a what I assumed was a comfort break) and initially seemed a little defensive about what he called my "2 minute inconvenience" after I tracked him down. I immediately thought of my lovely wife Gayle, and stayed friendly, relaxed and empathetic. My Dad also used to run a service station back in Iowa, and I haven't forgotten where I'm from. He dropped the attitude quickly and we ended up having a nice chat as he was filling up the tank in a very professional manner. I also kind of agree with the guy that the owner of this place might want to invest a little more into his property regarding overall curb appeal. After all, gasoline is pretty much gasoline, and there's usually another one just down the road.

Add an ample dose of extreme insolence and distain that I would even try to ask again. Not that I'm expecting people working in quick turn around service industries to be enveloped in an endorphin high, it's not an easy way to spend your day, but this rudeness was unwarranted and epic. 1 star is too many. After the blatant, sexist, misogynist treatment by the Indian man who runs this 7-11, I will never come back to this store. I only come in to use the ATM and decided to buy some cider. This man was not only rude, but nasty. He demanded my ID. When I asked him a simple question about the rewards program, he barked at me it didn't matter and to show him my ID. I am 50 years old. In the meantime, he waited on a man who was in line behind me first instead of simply completing the transaction. He was friendly with the white man, calling him "brother." He was nothing but surly, rude and sexist with me. Never again will I walk into this 7-11, not even to use the ATM to be treated like a second class citizen or worst by this Indian man. This isn't India. We don't treat women here like dogs and get away with it. Tried to file a formal complaint with 7-11 because it was that abusive of a situation. Their feedback site doesn't work. Avoid this store at all costs!
