Fast forward almost exactly 10 years later and sadly, my original Toyota (2002) is gone. It was totaled. This place does NOT do hail damage repair. I took my car in for an estimate to repair damage from a recent hail storm, as suggested by my insurance company. After filling out their form, the guy brusquely informed my that they do not do that kind of work and "sent it out" to a paintless dent repair place. How long does that take, I asked? "Two weeks" was the answer. So they can act as a middleman and collect a commission, massively inconveniencing customers. The guy did not suggest a shop who would do the work directly. read more

My husband and I have used Burlington Auto Body quite a few times and have always had a 5-star experience. All the guys are nice, fair, and considerate. The work looks good and holds up well. I needed a broken tail light replaced and never thought to ask for a used part. Jim offered that to me, found one, and within a couple of days it was installed at about 1/3 the price of a new one. I had paint dings on the side of my car from someone banging their door into my car. I asked Burlington Auto in La Grange to fix it while they were replacing my hood. I picked up my car & it looked brand new. A couple days later, the paint touch up was gone. The dings were orange/pink color instead of the original white undercoat showing. My car looks worse than it did when I dropped it off. I called them & I was not charged for the chips so I got no money returned; be aware of free stuff! It will make your car look worse than when you dropped it off. In addition, they replaced the hood on my car from an auto claim I had. The claim adjuster from an A+ AMBest rating company estimated $700 but Burlington Auto charged me $2,100; 3 times the amount. I am waiting to see if my hood turns pink/orange. read more

Enterprise car rental is a short distance from the office which is helpful to secure alternate transportation while my car is being serviced..I would highly recommend them for auto repairs and body work. read more

Several months ago, I had scratches on the rear bumper of my car from hitting a pole in a parking lot. I went to one auto body shop and they quoted me $500 to repair the damage. I stopped my Burlington Auto and I spoke to a tall man at the front desk who I believe was Tony. He listened to my description asked me to go outside and wait and came out a minute later with some liquid and a rag. He proceeded to buff the scratches completely off my bumper and said he was glad to help. I just wanted to commend Tony and Burlington Auto for what, in this day in age, is a somewhat forgotten art of customer service and doing the right thing. I have no complaints. I came here because I needed a quote on a repair. Apparently, they were on the approved list by the insurance company so the quote was accepted. I scheduled the service and it was done. Actually, I do have a complaint. Their hours kind of stink. 8-5:30. And the car was supposed to be done by 4:30, but then not ready until 5. I have driven by this Auto Body shop innumerable times and yet it flew under my radar. No longer! I am so impressed. I had the misfortune to clip my son's car as I was backing of our driveway. I caused some paint transfer (white onto black) and a dent. We went to get an estimate from a body shop we have used before, and I nearly fainted when hearing the estimate. The cost was almost 1/3 of the value of the car! He said they needed to remove the whole panel and blend the paint. Did we really need to fix this? But it was my fault. What to do? Burlington Auto Body had not escaped my son's notice. He mentioned that he always saw really nice cars there ... so we stopped in for their opinion. A friendly estimator took a look at the damage. He first polished off the paint transfer, then said he thought this was a good candidate for "Paintless Dent Repair". He took photos to document the dent and said he would let us know the outcome. Yippee! They could fix it. It cost under $500. (vs. $2,500) The repair is perfect and both Mom and son are happy again. :) read more

I had my car repaired here. They do decent work. The car was fixed within about 3-4 weeks and they dealt with the insurance. The only thing that bothers me is the little black push pins your car needs for trim work were missing. Not all of them but about 6-8. I was able to buy a kit from amazon for $20 or so and do it myself. They also reused some trim work by adding some trim tape. I found this out when I heard all the wind noise after picking up the car. The trim pice was only $10 from the dealer. I doubt the owners are pocketing the money, it seems more like sloppy work to get the cars fixed sooner. Not a bad place just check your car closely at the little details. read more

One of the highest quality auto repair shops in the near Western suburbs, they will always put your car back in shape as good or better than it was before you had that little road mishap. Two complaints: 1) expensive. Think twice about heading here if it's out of pocket expenses, but make sure this is your first stop if the insurance company is paying. 2) (minor) You'll probably need an appointment, and they won't get you in for a week or two (especially if your car is drivable). That said, it's well worth the wait if State Farm or Farmer's is paying the bill. read more

Terrible business practices!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! My car was damaged. I had it towed to them as they are 2 blocks from my house. And I used them in the past for a smaller job so I figured ok. They got the car the same day as accident. I called 2 days later for their "free estimate" they were rude and said they were busy and will get to it. Another week past...I called and they said they will estimate it soon. 4 days later my wife called, again "Tony" was extremely rude. So finally over 2 weeks later...just yesterday I get the estimate. It's very high so I say..."I would like to get a second opinion" Tony says ok. I send the other company to pick it up, and Tony would not release without over $1,000!!!! I called, my wife called, the insurance called, the police called...and Tony said the car won't leave without the $1,000. So much for a "Free Estimate". Tony said the charge was for storage??? I asked how can you charge me storage when it took you guys two weeks to get me an estimate??? He had no real answer. So why not keep everyone's car for weeks or months and overcharge them and hold their car hostage!!! By the way...Tony said if does the work, he'll waive the fee??? Absolutely garbage company! Awful service and follow up. Jim inspected my car (which was rear-ended) two weeks ago and told me to send the insurance estimate - he would schedule our car to begin the work as soon as he received Allstate info. I sent him the Allstate estimate and heard nothing from him. After multiple follow up calls and emails from me, Jim confirmed he received the estimate 12 days ago - but simply chose to never called back to schedule time for our car. No apology...no excuse such as 'we're really busy'...he just ignored my attempt to give him business and did not reply to three follow up emails. Jim, you did me a favor. If Burlington Auto does not want to respond to customers who are trying to give them work, I will happily take my business where it is appreciated! Can only imagine how many delays and miscommunications would have occurred if I had them work on my car. read more

The gentleman at the counter told me to go to Freddies down the street because the settlement check I received from the other insurance company would not cover the expenses even though he didnt even look at the car. They wrote an estimate which was competitive with the dealer. I had to schedule the service in advance, but they were very flexible. The repair made the car look like nothing had ever happened. They were professional all the way through. When we needed special consideration for payment and pick-up of our car, they were very helpful. They fixed front end damage on my BMW. It looked beautiful and I was happy. They are a State Farm preferred repair shop, so that helps. I would have given five stars, but I find that they are a little lacking in friendliness. It just feels like they want to keep it all business and make nothing personal of it at all. For me, my car is my baby. I want a warm fuzzy feeling when I walk out of there and leave the keys, and my baby, behind. But having said that, this in no way compromises the integrity of the work performed. I am a little disappointed in some of the reviews that don't even discuss the quality of the work. That doesn't help anyone in making a decision. I am about to drop off my brand new M3 for a dent repair. I will follow up when I get it back. read more

He was completely honest in what I could expect as the finished product with the amount I was planning to pay. They were quick to estimate and contact the insurance company of the driver that hit us. Allstate was charging me depreciation on a new tire and Burlington refused to pass the charge to me, eating it themselves. My car looks beautiful, inside and out.
