Chicken Pita wrap with onions and lettuce...made it a combo with fries and drink. Total $13

I got a Greek souvlaki pita wrap. This place is conjoined with a convenience store. It looked like a takeout place but also has some old fashioned seats....its located downtown Burlington on Lake shore and James close to Brant street. The fries were thick and the chicken tasted very good.

    Chicken Soulvaki Dinner

Food was pretty mediocre, I used to go to this place often for the fries and chicken strips way back, but was a bit disappointed revisiting this time. The salad was good and a decent portion size, dressing to go with it was really good. For $16 the amount of chicken was disappointing and the fries didn't seem too fresh. The rice was decent with the tzatziki sauce being a star. It was nice and brought the flavour. You can probably get a better more satisfying deal from some where else.

Lunch menu side salad was supposed to be a Greek salad but wasn't really as it had a lettuce base…read more It was good: fresh & simple with flavourful dressing. Pita was fluffy & flavourful: warm, with some crispness. It was good enough to eat on its own. Potatoes were pretty good with an above average flavour which penetrated into the centre. Rice was decent. Gyro was tasty, pretty moist & a very generous portion. Tzatziki was extremely thick & creamy & tasted decent.

Wow, it's my first time here but i must say the chicken souvlaki, gyros, Greek salad, spanokopita…read morepita and potatoes were the best i ever had. They also have a great 0% alcohol Greek beer. The food was plentiful and was very fillling. I would've liked more of their greek salad and wish it came with our meals instead of served before the entrees. Think this is the best greek food at a restaurant i had in town and Toronto. Service was very good and our server was friendly however made an error on my meal. However, she quickly fixed the error without taking too much time. We lucked out and didn't need to have a reservation and dine in. The ambiance was very nice and peaceful for a fancier greek restaurant. So nice for a Valentine's Day meal. It was a very nicely designed and beautiful European style restaurant. HOWEVER, that was short-lived because in came a family of 5 (2 parents with 3 little girls probably triplets aged 3 were seated literally right beside us.) We were seated in the very back and had a nice private corner to ourselves. The father turned to us to say "Sorry it isn't going to be quiet anymore." He wasn't kidding because the kids were rambunctious, loud and out of control. The parents didn't do a thing. Neither did the restaurant staff and thus this really upset my dh and i. Imho, we were there first and isn't fair to us that we had to dine with this family beside us. It was so not nice anymore. *Side note* The restrooms were clean but temperature wise it felt so cold almost like a meat freezer.

Been here a few times, but never wrote a review. It's my second time here for Taste of Oakville…read moresince their menu had interesting dishes. For my appetizer, I got a green salad which had a nice dressing to it, tiny tomatoes, and tiny cut up figs. I would have liked bigger pieces of figs (if you are going to include it in the menu). For the main dish, I got rainbow trout which came out smaller than I imagined. It should be cooked well since it was a thin piece too. The spinach rice was a nice side and the salad had a nice colour to the overall dish. My partner's short ribs were not tender and it was hard to chew on. He said the meat didn't fall off the bone. For dessert, the walnut cake was moist, however the pistachio ice cream looked and tasted fake. Service was pretty good. The washroom at the back, near the kitchen was clean. Overall, I have given them three tries and each time, I didn't feel fully satisfied. I don't think I'll be going back.

It's not the biggest space but there's ample seating inside. The menu has a lot of the Greek classics/staples and having tried the Port Credit location previously, I fairly knew what to expected. We started out with Saganaki, fried calamari, and dolmades. Everything was cooked well and made to order and good flavour overall. For the main, ended up splitting the stix platter for 2 among 4 people. Thankfully we did the split since it was such a big portion that was more than enough for all of us. It also gave us an opportunity to try all the different skewers on offer and the lamb was the highlight for me with the sausage being the biggest surprise. Overall about what you'd expect, good Greek food, good portions, good service.

Firstly- the service was extremely slow (we waited for about 20 mins before being spoken to). Once we ordered our two meals (gyro dinner meal and chicken shawarma meal) we were informed there was no more rice. When we asked when it would be ready we were told not for at least 30 mins. We decided to just have an extra helping of potatoes instead. As we were waiting we noticed the microwave going for 3 mins. Once the microwave finished, they pulled the potatoes out of it (in a styrofoam container) and dumped it into our meals. The microwave was practically on the floor and we were pretty annoyed that they didn't even cook the potatoes fresh. None the less we paid and took the food home. As we were eating it my husband found pieces of bone, spine and cartilage in his chicken shawarma. It was a very disappointing experience and we didn't even up eating half of our food. The first time we ate there the food was great (hence the 2 stars). Now we won't be back.
