Bought an 8x10 rug at the Burlington Coat factory in Streamwood Ill. I am a 70 year old female. Asked the one cashier to get assistance. No one available to help. Asked for the manager. Not available. Asked for the phone number for the corporate office. The cashier did not have it. Could not bring the cart with the heavy rug outside the store. The store just opened. Very messy. Merchandise all over the floor. Looks like this store has one person working there. Will never go back. read more

This is the worst location I've ever been to. No matter what time of day I come, I always end up standin in line for 30+ min while 1 cashier tries to check out a line of people that fills the checkout line and goes into the apparel isles! I have yet to see anyone open a second register to help get the checkout lines goin but I can walk through te store and see employees sittin in different departments either organizing or stocking! Does Burlington train their managers on hw to prioritize where their personnel should be or recognize when they should pull someone to man a register at least until the lines get back u fee control?? Doesn't seem like it. I'm standing in line right now and this line has barely moved and STILL only one cashier! Maybe I should of gone to Ross!? Store looks like a tornado went thru it. Shoe dept had more pairs on the floor than on the shelves. Never seen a store like this. In line the 2 super lazy unfriendly associates both sat on their cell phone while the line grew longer. At this point NO customers are being rung up. Should close this ghetto looking store. read more

Customer service was lacking. Line was long 3 registers were open then the manager who was on a register closed it when the line was wrapped around the store. This is one of my favorite places to shop. After today's service I will shop at another location. read more

I was shopping in the store and an item fell to the floor like almost everything does in the store. A pair of underwear to be exact. A worker was standing there as they fell. She then said to me in a very commanding voice "ah excuse me but you gonna need to pick them up" I said excuse me? She said" yeah you heard me, you gonna need to pick them up" I said who do you think you are talking to in that tone of voice? She proceeded to call security and a woman showed up, she told her she dropped a pair of underwear and refused to pick them up. This woman tells me to please move on. I was beside myself and began recording everything. I went to the register and asked for a manager. The same security lady came and now was manager. I asked her if she felt that was proper what just happened to a customer. She said I will talk to her. I asked for a number for corporate and she said sure I'll go get it for you. She walked away and 15 minutes goes by and she left me waiting there. After 15 minutes I went to look for her and she was with original girl and another. When I walked up they were discussing me and laughing. I asked where is the number you left me waiting for? She said it's at the register. I walked away got the rest of my stuff I came to buy and the third girl was the one going to ring me up. I said hello, no response. I proceeded to put my items on the counter and in a very rude aggressive way she says to me" you will put yo stuff on counter when I tell you to! I said are you kidding me. What in the heck is going on here? Do you think you are in the streets because last I checked this is Burlington, you are at work and I'm a customer. She said well don't throw yo stuff on here to I say! I said throw? I'm trying to help you and taking hangers off for you and throwing nothing. At this time all MY CLOTHES I WAS BUYING SHE SCOOPED THEM ALL UP AND THREW THEM ON THE FLOOR. I video taped the whole thing. Now I was upset and told her she needed to pick my items up off the floor now.,she started yelling to other cashier " come ring this one up I ain't takin care of her no mo. If you're not in the market for a coat, that doesn't mean you can't stop in to browse. BCF is similar to Ross or Marshall's. They have clothes for every member of your family, as well as shoes, accessories and other random impulse buys. I've found myself at this location a few times when I'm in the area, mostly to find shoes. I love wedges and boots and their selection is usually pretty good. I found a pair of mesh booties for $25 this past time, but other times I've been able to find name brand shoes on clearance for as low as $10. If you collect shoes like I do, don't miss a chance to stop in to check out what they have. I also find that BCF is a great place for dresses. I like to have a few 'new' ones on hand for parties, weddings, date nights or whatever else might come up in a girl's life. You can usually find a good one on clearance, but if there's no sale- you can still expect to pay about $20-30 for a dress. I bought a green and navy dress for a wedding and a white dress for a wedding. Both were marked $19.99. I've never experienced slow or inefficient cashiers. In fact, I was running late to my orthodontist appointment and was a little worried how long it was going to take, but I was rang up really quickly. It's not my all-time favorite store, but I do really like it and rarely ever walk out empty handed. read more

So this store was not in Yelp, but I had to create a page for it because I loved this particular location. I have been going to the BCF in Burbank for many years, but not so much anymore due to the way the store is run and how messy thing always seem to be. This Crestwood location is a decent size, and is very clean and much more organized. I usually like to stop in at the beginning of winter to grab a coats for the family, but this time, I needed to find a pair of shoes. I stopped by Burbank, intitially, and it was a mess, shoes everywhere, mismatched shoes in boxes, and nobody around to help hash out prices or questions. Fast forward a day later, I stop into the Crestwood BCF and was totally amazed by the difference walking in the door. This store was bright, clean, not very crowded and fairly modern. I was greeted by a worker!! wow! this doesn't happen at the burbank location! So I head to the shoe department and find a nicely organized shoe section.. whoa! lots of shoes for men, women, kids, all nicely organized, shoes in the right boxes, prices displayed accordingly.. Complete opposite of my last BCF experience down the road. I found a pair of shoes, $65 orginally, discounted to $30. I added them to my cart and proceeded to walk around and see what other surprises i might find. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this location has more thing than the Burbank location. I found that this location has a household goods department, great prices for kitchen, bedroom, bathroom linens and furnishings, etc. So now my cart has a shower curtain, bathroom floor rugs to match the curtain, a clothes iron, and some other miscellenous items, i cannot seem to remember, but my point is that they have a whole lot of cool things at great discounted prices.. All in all, this location is now on my radar and I will be back more often to see what deals I can find. read more

I get to the register and one item didn't have a price. I kindly offer to go retrieve another one with the price. (Isn't it the cashier's job to call someone to price check?) While I'm gone, the cashier threw everything that I'm purchasing into one big bag. I had jewelry that she didn't wrap or put in a smaller bag. I had ceramic items that she didn't wrap with paper. I had a desk globe that she didn't wrap. I had lotion and hand soap that she just threw to the bottom and it was leaking by the time I got home. I really hate this location now. Lazy cashiers on Saturday nights make me want to go shop elsewhere!!! Low prices aren't worth terrible service. read more

I have never met slower cashiers in any business in my entire life. It's as if they were intentionally trying to keep the line 50 people long. Also, are their any employees walking around the store to organize items? The shoe area looked like a war zone. The slower-than-molasses cashier apparently neglected to remove the theft-prevention devices from FOUR of my items, so when I was leaving, the alarms went off, and the woman at the customer service desk proceeded to spend the next five minutes tearing through my bags and analyzing my receipt to make sure I hadn't stolen anything. My friend and I went in to buy gifts for people and they refused to give us FIVE PLASTIC BAGS to seperate the gifts. Wow. Talk about a surreal shopping experience...if you want one, go here def. Corporate must be wanting to run this place into the ground, much like K-Mart and Sears. Soon, there'll be only Targets and Walmarts everywhere, and then the world will end. If you DO go here, enjoy the cash register-line experience. Savor it -- it's the taste of capitalism in its final death throes. I was there buying a luggage (and there's only one line open, of course), and an older immigrant guy is in front of me wanting to return babies' clothes in two separate transactions. All the while, 4 Non-Blondes' "What's Up?" (the worst song in human history) is playing over the P.A. and the fat woman behind the cash register is scanning the clothes more slowly than a Russian aristocrat enjoying a lavish 10-course meal. This cashier might have been charged with second-degree murder if I had had a weaker heart, or I might have been charged with second-degree murder if I had been having a worse afternoon.
