Is it possible Neat Repeats can leave a voicemail message when people call the stores if they are taking anymore merchandise at that time so people don't drive there for nothing. It's extremely aggravating. I went to the one in Worth as live in Worth and it's close. There was a note on the door stating they were not taking anymore merchandise. Ok, fine. I proceeded to call the Neat Repeat store in Orland Park to see if they are taking donations. No one answers. I leave a message and no one returned my call. I don't wanna go all the way over there with my merchandise if they're not gonna take it. Why don't they have a message on their voicemail saying they are not taking any more merchandise at this time. That would be helpful when people call. This way people are not making a trip for nothing. I hope they consider this option. Thank you. read more

My experience with donating has been aggravating... 1. Going out of my way to donate only to have a sign tell me they are not accepting donations and "no dumping". Also indicating to "please consider donating another day". 2. Being told that one pair of swim trunks in my donation is not in season and just an FYI to only donate "in season clothes". 3. Having a large donation and the woman in charge didn't even let the donation bin out of the door so I had to carry everything from the car to inside while she chatted with people in the back. 3. Being told that I could only fill one bin (today) and I asked them if they were sure about that policy because I had very high end perfume, brand new. All of a sudden they could make an exception. If they didn't I would've spent more time and money having to donate the rest to another resale shop. My time is valuable. I will no longer be donating to Neat Repeats. read more

Oct 2023 Love the prices & available products, but the employees & check out are HORRIBLE!!! To the ownerplease ask your volunteers to stop being so RUDE! 11-22-2024 Decided to try this store again. It's been a year since I was there last. I found lots of wonderful things. I got to the checkout where there was 1 woman working. The customer she was waiting on was still deciding what she wanted from her cart. Now there are 5 of us wanting to check out. 2 employees came up, saw the line & walked away!!!! Finally someone came. I requested to pack my own items. Then it all went downhill. The manager came up & started grabbing my stuff. I politely said I preferred to pack my own stuff. He got huffy & slamed the items down he had picked up. I let him know the last time he packed my stuff I had broken ornaments at the bottom of a box. He shouted, I don't have to take this & walked away. SERIOUSLY this is the only guy you can find?? I sell decor & housewares to movie & tv set designers. I spend $3000-$5000 a MONTH at thrift stores. I go down the road to St. Vinnie several times a month. I avoid this place because of the issues I have. According to the reviews, I'm not the only one. This was definitely the last time. Does this guy realize how much business he is losing for the charity?? All other thrift stores from Milwaukee to Green Bay LOVE when I come in. I buy several cart fulls, never ask them to wrap or pack. It's really a shame that a store close to my home has such HORRIBLE customer service. I only go here when they have the VIP 50% sale or when husband wants to go. The workers there are older women who either have retired or bored at home. The volunteers vary which would explain the racist/bias attitudes we receive upon entering. I don't like supporting these types of establishments but realize the bigger picture is the sales help abused women. Today upon entering husband and I were not greeted nor thanked when exiting. The golden girl with the boa at the front desk made sure to turn her back at us but other patrons she turned all the way around and asked them if they were VIP members. I'm not 1 for causing a scene but she couldn't have pretended not to be bias for 1 day? By the way we did make a $20 purchase. Not sure how many more I will make in the future. read more

I used to shop here a few years ago & the store used to have good deals. I live on the northwest side of Chicago so it's quite a drive for us. When I came to visit this store again I expected the prices to go up a bit but not that much! I was informed by the nice lady who was sitting up front that there was 50% off of all tops. But the prices were so high to begin with! Keep in mind the clothes & every thing else are used. It is not worth spending $ here. I went around the whole store at least 2 times & had a hard time finding any kind of reasonable deals. Even the kids clothes were sky high in price! I did manage to find to scarves that were reduced to $1 each. Big deal! I found 1 sweater for $5. I can find brand new sweaters reduced at other stores such as Ross & Wal-mart etc. for that price! When I asked a lady at the counter do you have the $1 rack anymore? I was told when they have to have something to put on it! I thought to myself lady the store is packed with mostly tops! And they can't find anything to put on a $1 only rack?? Please! I know the sales go for a good cause. But still why rip good customers off? The store was packed with tops. Many items were so over priced! Such as $40 for a top! I don't care if it is a brand name top or designer top! It is used!! Also many of the clothes had stains on them! For a Saturday there was hardly anyone in the store. I gave the store a shot & took my time. Only 1 lady bought 1 thing while I was there. They also watch you like crazy! Don't waste your time or $. I bought 2 scarves & 1 sweater & will never waste my $$ or time there again. It is so sad to see that thrift stores are becoming a dying thing. Make the trip if you can to Nifty Thrifty in Kenosha. They also benefit abused women. They have better quality of items & better sales. I am sorry I wasted my time & my $ on this store. read more

This is a great resale shop!! Supports women of domestic violence, is ran by all volunteers. They have daily specials (like 50% off coats, purses, etc.) The store is clean, well lit, neatly organized. It is not a HUGE store (not like good-will or salvation army). I'd say it is a bit nicer than that. Prices are a bit higher, but knowing what the store supports, I'm willing to pay that. Mostly women's and children's clothes. Coats and purses and housewares. Neat Repeats Shop - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Worth, Illinois

This store sold a fake / replica bag to my elderly mother for $150. The cashier confirmed it was real, yet it was very obvious that it was not (receipts were on plain copy paper, some in Chinese, and the bag had two different brands on it). Once I found out about this, I was furious and tried to get it returned the same day. They refused to do a refund despite it being illegal to sell replicas. It does not matter whether they knew it was real or not, it is still illegal for them to sell. It was upsetting that they would sell items like this to unsuspecting customers, especially the elderly that are usually targeted for scams. The exact response I got from the assistant manager was that "they sell replicas all the time, no one had issues with it before". This does not excuse that it is against the law. I had to file a police report when this could have been solved with a simple refund. Long story short, this store does not take accountability and I would never recommend it to anyone. read more

I absolutely love this place. Prices are somewhat higher than other thrift shops, but they only sell items in mint condition, and I like that their profits support a shelter and services for women and children. If you like retro clothes and furnishings, this is the place to go. The ladies who staff the shop are really sweet and give great suggestions if you want advice. I LOVE shopping here! This is my favorite resale shop of all times. Neat Repeats is 100% volunteer run, and its proceeds provide for a substantial amount of the annual budget of the Crisis Center of South Suburbia - a much needed resource for women and families experiencing domestic violence. The store has a great selection of women's and children's clothing (a growing section of men's clothing, but not as much), and housewares. They also have modest selections of children's toys and games, books/movies/CD's, toiletries, and jewelry. Higher end items are labeled with 'yellow tags'. Every day, a different set of categories are 50% off. Some days are 50% off storewide, and on special days, yellow tag items are included in the 50% off! If you call before coming in, the person on the phone will tell you what the sale is that day. I frequently find quality, brand new items with original store tags still on them. I frequently buy birthday and Christmas gifts in advance. Once i take off the resale sticker, people think I bought their gift retail. On the flip side, I love bringing my donations to Neat Repeats because I know that all of the proceeds from the sale of my donations are going right to the Crisis Center. Neat Repeats even relies on donors for grocery bags to package up people's purchases - all in the interest of keeping overhead costs at a minimum. If you typically think of thrift shops as dusty, cluttered stores that sell other people's junk, you'll be amazed and surprised by what you see at Neat Repeats. IF you love resale ,a great deal and supporting a great cause this is it! I always find something at this resale shop. The quality is great-clothing is always in good shape,its amazing how many things are brand new, it seems that they keep only the best and the prices a very reasonable. While it is not large, the selection is always changing. All things are donated, the staff are all volunteers, so everyone is friendly and they remind you that you are shopping to support the Crisis Center (a domestic violence center in the south suburbs). Nice clean resale shop run by volunteer women but not just for women. There are kids , teen and men's clothing there though sometimes in limited quantities. Also housewares, books, toys, and shoes. Even wedding gowns and fur coats! Everything is well divided and the sales are great---sometimes 1/2 off the ENTIRE store. The place donates their profits to women in crisis too. Good quality of merchandise almost all the time. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Neat repeats benefits Crisis Center of South Suburbia which is good enough reason to shop here. Staff is usually friendly. Very clean stock turns over very quickly and is varied. Clothing and accessories abound. My most recent triumph is a Dolce and Gabbana handbag in super condition for a riduculously low price. Prices are commensurate with quality. There are half-price sales every day and several "Whole store on sale" events during the year. The only drawback is the undersized and difficult to manuver parking lot. I've found excellent clothing, jewelry and accessories. High end brands as well as department store stuff. Decent assortment of recent books. This is a fun place to browse, but come prepared.
