You can see signs both inside and outside of the mall. The entrance from outside leads you to a secluded escalator surrounded by silent white walls. Once you get to the bottom, the size of the place may surprise you. It's HUGE! Burlington is always known for having such a wide variety of things. I've come in on various occasions looking for random articles of clothing for costumes and such... and more times than not I don't find what I'm looking for. But there still have a lot of great things... especially coats! I have found myself browsing more than checking out, so my staff interaction has been limited. But one thing I have noticed is that if someone is near the escalator, I am always greeted, and I'm usually asked if I need any help while I'm browsing. The lows of the place are definitely the aesthetics. The sizes of the clothes on hangers have been inconsistent, and generally the place gives dingy warehouse vibes. I live in this area and I have NEVER been more embarrassed of my area than this evening. Burlington is always hit or miss with selection but this place is a FILTHY DISASTER!!! It smelled so bad that one of the workers even complained to me about having to work in a place that smelled so bad. I ONLY attempted to purchase an item because I needed something for a color party at work tomorrow. The people at the registers talked to one another and NEVER even acknowledged my presence. Why is it that I can only seem to describe this as a basement bargain center? Oh, that might be because it is like Target's basement. Literally. Go out of Target and head to the left and enter the doors to take the escalators/elevator downstairs. Technically this is attached to the mall portion, but not very well attached or advertised as such. Lord is it a mess in here. You want to feel like you are shopping at Goodwill, but paying for brand new items? You found the spot to do so. Everything in here is so disorganized. To the point that don't expect to find items where they should be. Organization is low, very low, items are basically thrown into an area so that you might be able to find something similar to what you are looking for. No guarantees. What makes it worse, the line to checkout takes forever. It starts at the registers, snakes its way through the register aisle and out onto the sales floor. Good luck trying to figure out where the actual end of the line is and good luck trying to explain to someone that the line is behind you...somewhere. Other than that, be prepared to hear the theft deterrent alarm go off just about every 45 seconds. If you had a cart here or wanted to use a cart here, it appears they have them tagged so that they don't leave the store. Where they store them just happens to be near the exit and it sets the alarm off every single time. As for the registers. A true mess. I don't know how this happens, but some of the employees at the counter get to choose who they ring up. I was like maybe the second or third person in line and was told to come up to the next lady. I just didn't understand this. Word of advice to this store. Maybe practice some dusting. You can see the inches of grey dust on the signs hanging in this store. This location is in need of major renovations or just needs to be closed all together! I was on a mission to find a dress for an upcoming event and I've been lucky to find some nice pieces at other locations. This one was a complete FAIL! Again, why are they even open for business? Soon as you walk in here, there is a feeling of despair!! The place is not well kept. There are clothes thrown all over the floor, nothing is organized and there was just a musty odor :( I happened to find an ok looking dress but didn't bother trying it on. I heard they dont restock their inventories because they dont want a lot of people to go there and increase the chance of spreading covid-19 and thats actually a sacrifice. This location is the only store in the ma on the lower level. It has stairs, escalator and elevator. The elevator is filthy. I think they never clean it. I think it has a burned out light bulb also. I frequent the Burlington in Ellsworth Place quite often and I'm pleased with their organization of the store, the time they put into keeping inventory fully stocked and making sure there are plenty of cashiers working when the line is long. However, this location here! Greenbelt, should be ashamed, management is totally lacking because the store is filthy and unorganized. It's a crying shame (lol) most thrift stores are maintained better than this store. Horrible, just horrible. read more

Very poor selection of clothing items. They barely had ANY t-shirts on stock. It was mostly name-brand clothing at half-price. The changing rooms were all closed due to Covid, so I couldn't try anything on. Had to guess whether the tops would fit me well or not. Many of the shelves were empty, not many items being stocked, wasn't even fun browsing the place. read more

Horrible, air quality is unhealthy to breath because of mold in the ceilings and dust on the upper ceiling pipes.The toilet pipes of the building all run down in the basement of this store.Wear your gas mask to survive.The ladies restroom was disgustingly repulsive , I was with my 3 yr old daughter and she was doing so well telling me when she had to use the restroom. I walked in and we had to hold our breath. I IMMEDIATELY went to the female management team and expressed my concerns. LOL,the manager told me along with her coworker that they go to TARGET to use the bathroom.I said ,well you should put a sign on the door saying "OUT OF ORDER".The manager then said she sometimes walks down to the mall bathroom. I then asked was their a person who cleans and sanitised the bathroom, manager says, yes, they come in the morning, this was 8 :30 pm.So they don't come back I said, the health department needs to pay a visit here and fine them for the bathroom and asthma trigger air quality .I can imagine the mens bathroom. Okay about the sales team, poor customer service and SLOW,SLOW, SLOW with line movement. Oh. My. Goodness. I encountered the rudest, most apathetic employee at the cash register. I went there on Monday Aug 10th at 5:00 pm. I had to return a few items I had purchased at another Burlington in Laurel (where the employees are friendly and actually gave me eye contact and shocking but true: smiled at me). The woman at the register never looked at me. I clearly was a burden just by breathing and bringing my merchandise to her. She even managed to hand me the money without looking at me, and a dime dropped on the floor. I couldn't get it because it had fallen behind the counter. I said, "oh, I'm sorry (taking responsibility for dropping it) - could you get that for me? No response. Just kept on doing something with other receipts that weren't mine, so I thought she didn't hear me and I said, "excuse me...." she cut me off and said, "could you give me a minute please?!" Why do people get in customer service when they clearly dislike anyone who asks anything of them? She may have been having a bad day, I get it. But ya know what - we all have bad days, and yet, most of us still manage to smile even when it's a little hard to do so, and get through our day without taking out our "life" on someone else. Pretty much what you would expect from a discount clothing chain store. Messy racks that seem to be not organized in any way. No staff people help you find what you are looking for. OK....so where this Burlington is located I am pretty happy with shopping here. They always have a nice selection of clothes, hell of a good clearance rack, and plenty of cute stuff for kids. The coats are plentiful. Shoe department can use a little organization but they do have a nice selection. Customer service isn't the best in the world but it's ok. I confess that my husband and I went to Burlington Coat Factory in Greenbelt Maryland last Friday after work because I wanted to go to a place know for both a wide variety and affordability. I was also somewhat previously familiar with this place because I shopped here before by the 2011 timeframe for some clothes and what originally made me receptive to trying this place was the fact that my late adoptive father use to take me to a Burlington Coat Factory at least seasonally when I was around 18/19 years old. Hopefully it is ok to share this in the review, I was overdue for some necessary bra shopping yet I still wanted to pay a discount for these items. Fortunately, I found six bras (from brands called Bali Lace of Desire, Rampage Intimates, Brilliance by Vanity Fair Comfort, Ava Rose Intimates)that my husband graciously paid for me at a total of $38.12 after taxes and the employee handling our order had a pleasant personality (the receipt that I have of the purchase showed a 5:23 p.m. timeframe on Friday April 19, 2019). read more

I waited over 30 minutes in line behind six people only to be told that the credit card machine was not working when I finally made it to the counter. When I asked why the 20 plus people waiting in line were not informed I was answered with a shrug.
