I don't remember this being at Arunde Mills Mall but it's been awhile since I visited the place yesterday. I went into the story because my curiosity peaked and I was surprised by all the cool toys they had. Also, this store had all types of stuff for different ages. From card games, to board games, to tabletop and drinking games. They even had a freaking golf mat you could put in your bathroom when you're stuck on the toilet! I know the target audience is the urban/streetwear crowd, but honestly, one would find much cooler stuff at Up Against the Wall/Commander Salamander. To be more specific, I saw plasticky jackets with plasticky fur hoods (if there is such a thing as faux faux leather, that's it), a bunch of crumpled plaid linen shorts and smocked halter tops on the $6.99 rack, those tight, stiff cable-knit hoodies that you would find better quality of at American Eagle Outfitters or even F21, more plastic braided belts (of the bad, metallic variety) and print leggings that manage to be crazy in a bad way (and I happen to love crazy printed leggings). I mean, they've got like the Ed Hardy tattoo pattern on flesh tone. Ugh. I feel like they're a rip-off of a rip-off; trying to be crazy when they're not crazy enough. Yeah. When my friend and I walked in, there were already two other customers in the store. No one greeted any of us. In fact, it didn't even seem like anyone was working there. We noticed two employees sitting at a table in the middle of the store on their laptops with their heads down, but neither acknowledged customers as they entered. We spent about 15 minutes browsing, talking about products, and clearly showing interest in making a purchase. Still, no one approached us or asked if we needed assistance. Eventually, I walked over and asked one of the women if she worked there. She looked up and said, "Yes, I work here." I responded by saying that it honestly felt like no one worked there because no one had greeted or acknowledged us. Her demeanor immediately changed, and she responded with an attitude before asking how she could help. The lack of basic customer service was disappointing. A simple "Hello" or "Let us know if you need anything" would have made a huge difference. Instead, customers were left feeling ignored and unwelcome. I can't speak to why we received this level of service, but I can only describe what happened during our visit. It was not a welcoming experience, and based on this visit, I would hesitate to return.

I parked a little ways down so I could be about halfway between my real destination and the crystal shop. I stepped inside and was shocked by how big it was! Like wow. Small rocks, medium rocks, big rocks, BIGGER rocks, books, incense, oils, necklaces, rings, spiritual statues... they truly had a lot. What made it even better was the late 90s / early 00s R&B they were playing. This time I wasn't quite on a mission, but it was still such a blast to explore everything that they had to offer. I think there was only one staff member around -- she was floating on the floor and when I approached the register (I did end up finding something) she immediately came over. She was very sweet.
