Our house has a complicated driveway and parking situation which their crew was able to work around seamlessly. Our HOA had its own approval layer on top of the city permit, and Sun Vault Roofing helped us navigate a two-week back-and-forth over approved shingle colors (side salad: ridiculous that HOAs have this kind of bureaucracy). Despite the complications, Sun Vault Roofing kept us updated through every delay and milestone without us having to chase anyone down. That alone was worth the price difference. The crew showed up on time, worked two full days, and left the yard cleaner than they found it. The roof has now been through 2-3 major storms since installation, including the crazy hail in April and there is not a speck of damage. Everything looks sharp and clean. You can tell was done right all the way from the street. If you're getting multiple bids for a roof replacement in the Madison area, make sure Sun Vault Roofing is one of them. Just don't let the price be the reason you go somewhere else, if they are not the lowest. The quality they provide is worth it.

However, in addition to applying that 3% increase, they also added an extra $7.81 monthly charge without my authorization, violating the terms of the agreement. This company does not honor its own contracts and only looks for ways to take more money from consumers. I strongly advise being very cautious before doing business with them.

Initially, my rebate was approved for payment before ComEd went back and rejected it. Certasun had been trying to get ComEd to reverse their decision with no success. The main issue was the total lack of communication from Certasun, which the exec assures me will be changed. In order to make me whole, Certasun has sent me a check to cover the rebate.

I suggest you improve your support workflow in order to thrive in this industry. In the few hours that have gone by, I was able to get a quote and schedule service with another local company. Original Review Do not rely on this company for good customer service from the operations end, good communication or follow-up. They require you to pay an invoice before any work is done. However, when it comes time to schedule the service no matter how many messages you leave or emails you send, don't expect to hear back from them. In December 2025, I purchased a new furnace and condensation pump from this company for over $4,000. Just a short time later, the condensation pump stopped pumping water properly. I contacted Heating and Cooling Solutions, and they sent a technician to my home. The technician determined that the plastic drain tube they had originally installed was too long. They simply cut the tube shorter to correct the problem. Despite this being an issue with their original installation, I was charged a $129 service call fee plus an additional $150 for approximately 15 minutes of work. I called the owner, Todd, to ask why this repair wasn't covered under the warranty, especially since the condensation pump had just been installed by their company. Instead of standing behind their work, I was told that I should have been performing "preventive maintenance." I find it unacceptable to be charged nearly $300 to correct what appears to have been an installation issue. A company that installs equipment should stand behind its workmanship, especially on a recently installed system. Instead, I was left feeling like my concerns were dismissed and that I was being charged for their mistake. This experience has left me completely disappointed. I expected much better customer service and integrity after spending thousands of dollars with this company. Unfortunately, I feel these business practices are unfair, and I will not be using or reccomending Heating and Cooling Solutions again.
