We went to Burlington at 10pm, which I thought they'd be closed. But to my surprise, they stay open until midnight!! There weren't a lot of people in the store but for that time of night it was more than I expected. The store wasn't really clean. But when is it ever. I don't mind because I think the amount of traffic they get it would be hard to keep everything organized. I enjoy the makeup and hair section normally. But the selection was kind of lacking today. My next favorite section is the food section which had minimal choices as well. They have nice luggage, wine glasses, and purses. If you're looking for gifts, they have a decent selection. Their decor is nice also. The cashier was friendly. The line is normally a lot, so expect to wait about 10 minutes or more to pay. But there are lots of things to look at while you wait to check out!! read more

Store was brimmed with all kinds of clothes and homeware. Yet, nothing I saw got me to either try them on or want to impulsively purchase it. Maybe it was due to the disorganized nature of the store. Maybe it was the foul odor I kept getting a whiff of. Maybe I just didn't look closely enough. Maybe it didn't help it was hot as devil's crotch in there. After all, it was mid-August in VB. I just wanted some cotton t-shirts and if I am lucky, a good linen shirt or two. A not so tacky looking beach towel. Dog bed maybe? Nope. Zero luck. I kept sifting through racks upon racks only to find NOTHING I WANTED. I kept thinking to myself, surely I'd find SOMETHING. I wasted so much time in here already. I could swear my dogs were howling outside and my husband about to call me to ask me if and when I am done. Just to be clear, neither of them did such a thing but still. Just a quick review but let's start with this store absolutely deserving of a 0 stars. They are really good at being awful at everything. You will not be able to spend less than 30 min in line so a quick run to Burlington is out of the question. The store is in udder disarray from behind the registers to every isle, its chaos. With over 20 people in line you would think the manager would hop on a register or help in someway but nope he/she has never been seen and is on the verge of becoming an urban legend. read more

I've been hearing many suggestions to visit here because there are some hidden gems for shoes so I finally stopped! One thing I will say is that this store is bright, clean, and well-organized! I could see clear across the store and there weren't things on the floor. I even saw some bath & body works products inside. There were many shoes and even a clearance rack that was full, but unfortunately they're weren't too many shoes for sizes 9+. 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars for cleanliness and the plentiful options. I hate shopping for clothing, shoes, etc. It had been years since I had gone to a Burlington Coat Factory and it was nothing like I remembered. Maybe it has always been this way, but now it is just like a Ross/TJMaxx/Marshalls. Read- a bit of a mess, but if you have patience you might find some great deals and brand name treasures. My reason for this visit wasn't for me, thankfully. I was trying to help a friend build up his wardrobe so he actually dresses like a man in his 30's and not like a teenager. I'm not being mean- he asked for my help! I don't know why he asked me out of all people.... Anyways Burlington was our first stop and we found a few great basic items at great prices! The store isn't very organized. The sections on the racks supposed to designate sizes are just suggestions of what you might find. Some of the items were good and we bought a few, but some of them make it really obvious why they are discounted (tacky or damaged). I recommend doing an inspection for defects before you take anything home. Just like other discount warehouse stores it is hit or miss. You will have to chack back often, because they are always getting in new inventory. They do have way more than just coats, in fact, coats weren't even the biggest clothing category represented. You can even find home furnishings here. Ultimately, your experience at this store comes down to how much you enjoy the hunt and your level of patience. I hate the hunt and I don't have much patience for shopping. Let me just say I love this place! They sell everything from clothes, to jewelry, home decor and furniture, and also gourmet foods. I mainly come for the home decor; such great quality for a great price. I would have given them 4 stars but the last few times I've been, there is a long line with only 2 registers open. They don't have a separate customer service line anymore, so if there is a return or lay a away it takes longer. The restrooms are always horrible too. I hope they hire more staff or least have more staff on during peak hours. read more

this can be a great place for clothes and shoes in particular if you can exhibit extreme patience. Oh yes, it takes a while to find the gems, but when you do find them it is wonderful. And you will likely end up with something that not all of your friends, peers, coworkers already have in their closets. Burlington's is a bit underrated in my opinion. Having been to many of them, I do expect them to be a little less than "up to par" but I think this is a place for some great finds. However, I think its worth stating that "everything" can be found here (in reference to clothes and household items) but it appears that Burlington gets their clothes from other suppliers so oftentimes what's in stock in based on whatever comes in. (I hope I explained that correctly.) Oftentimes, I believe there is a misconception that Burlington's in somewhat of a warehouse for coats of every kind for every season. Burlington has clothes for everyone, household items and furnishings, accessories like purses and jewelry, curtains, candles, dishes, sunglasses, hair products and they even have a baby registry. There are some great finds at Burlingtons; especially on the clearance racks. It's maybe comparable to a Ross or Marshalls where you might find a Clavin Klein shirt for $9.99 that was sold last year in Macy's for $28. If ever you are in the mood for some good finds or you might need a gift for someone, give this place a try. read more

I had not shopped here in well over a decade, and I was under the impression they mostly sold just coats. Came inside today with my spouse, and this place is HUGE. I can't see the back wall... the aisle seems to go on forever like the twilight zone . . . . . I ran, and I ran... I just could not get to the back of the store. Eventually I got tired, so I stopped to rest, and look around the Men's Apparel section for a bit. Also, I was surprised to see they sell alot more than coats here. Reminds me of a TJ Maxx or Marshalls in the format of the store. All kinds of clothes, not just jackets and coats. Oh, and LOW prices as well. So BCF saved my life the other day. I wore a caaaaaaaaaaute dress to work on Tuesday, but to my surprise when I sat down...buttons that were cleary fastened kept opening...im like huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Needless to say, every 5 mins I kept looking down to make sure I was straight...but everytime I looked down I WAS NOT!!! I couldn't take it anymore, so i drove 5 mins to Burlington. Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did they save my life, I found a cute sweater dress and pumps for $45...thank you so much for being right on time BCF! Most items here are just blah, therefore you have to search high and low and in between the cracks and behind the mirrors to find the stuff worth buying. To my surprise, I found an entire outfit in 30 mins. The store isn't fairly busy during the week, therefore you may see only 1 cashier but more come to assist if the line gets too long...love this about them! Definitely stop by and peek in to see the deals...hidden treasures pop up every now and again here. But that Good Tuesday for me...BCF gave me life :) read more

This location is being renovated. So be prepared for some exposed boards and pipes. For years Burlington Coats have been one of our goto places for mainly coats, but I've discovered they actually have some really nice clothes, seasonal decorations and household stuff as well. My only gripe with this location is they don't care how they stock their items so you should look closely for dents, cracks and scratches before buying. If it's an item you really want and it's the only one, take it to the counter and they'll knock a few dollars off due to damage. read more

I usually find good deals here. Wish staff would keep the outside much cleaner. Not only is it unsanitary and gross to leave so much trash, it also indirectly affects property value of nearby homes. I'm usually disgusted by the outside and still shop there bc they usually have what I need. Storm drains in the parking lot clog with trash and cause flooding. I've shared concerns with a store manager who thinks there's a property maintenance company that takes care of the lot. But she had no idea who it is or how to contact them and didn't seem too interested in finding out. It still falls on the businesses to clean up. Or make calls to make clean up happen. read more

I recently visited the Va Beach Blvd location and I was pleasantly pleased. The associates were helpful and assisted me in every way possible! I went in for a fascinator and came out without that but with a whole bunch of other super cute things THAT I LOVE! I may have went overboard by signing up for a store card which I plan to use to purchase Christmas gifts :) #excited. I love me some BCF. Particularly this store. The place is so huge, it can be overwhelming. The coat selection they have is enormous. There are usually great clearance buys, and they carry many well-known designer labels. Their clothing selection is a bit difficult to look through, as most of it is not on display, but instead hung on long racks to sift through. Their shoe selection is always up to snuff trend wise, and their prices are very reasonable. They carry a unique food selection toward the front of the store by the registers. I used to love this store. Recently they changed the layout so it's harder to find the clothes you're looking for. I used to love coming here for shoes specifically and their new shoe section is unusable. Instead of shelves separated by style, there are racks theoretically arranged by size... But no. I went in first thing in the morning when all the shoes should have been in order by they weren't. Sizes 6, 7, 9 where the 8.5s should have been? What? I got so frustrated I left empty handed. This store is in serious need of a DEEP CLEAN!! The dust is built up so bad that it is all over the wall by the ladies fitting rooms and about an inch thick on top of the fixtures. I went in looking for homeward stuff but I found it impossible to find anything that wasn't damaged or over priced. I managed to find something small after shopping for about 30 minutes but when it came time to check out it took forever. Middle of the day middle of the week and I'm in line for 15 minutes. I decided to go into Burlington to look for so shoes for my grandaugther. Hoping they had increased their inventory, I was wrong nothing had changed. The shoe department was sad. Before Burlington Coat Factory was brought by another company I would purchase all of my shoes, sandals and boots as well as shoe for my grandchildren. The whole store has changed. Back in the 90's BCF did not accept returns. I brought something back and could only get store credit. It wasn't a huge deal but considering other retailers would gladly handle returns it kind of bugged me so I stopped shopping there. Fast forward nearly 2 decades... the New Year inspired me to donate my tired clothes to charity and freshen my wardrobe. I'm so glad I stopped in to browse. Since then I've purchased everything from plain T's for home/sleep at a few dollars a piece, to athletic tech shirts for $7/each and sleeveless Calvin Klein blouses for $20 each. Just tackling tops that day I only glanced at dresses, coats and pants. Although the shoe selection is sparse I purchased 3 pairs of everyday heels at an average price of $20 each. There is a fun looking accessory section up front that I look forward to checking out someday. The store is clean, big, with room between the clothes so you can really see what's available rather than jammed racks. More mirrors at ends of aisles would greatly improve the shopping experience. The existing mirrors are found more toward the rear section of the jackets and coats. The check out line moves swiftly. The staff are only at the registers it seems which is fine. Don't bother waiting for a dressing room attendant. There's a "Limit 6" sign which I ignored since I had a pile try on, was the only one using the fitting area therefore wouldn't be holding up any other customers by exceeding the limit. Apparently the fitting room is unisex. Tall people walking down the aisle will have a view of customers over the tops of the doors! If you're concerned go to the end stalls. read more

when i was in town going to the beach in virginia i noticed this one is the best. the staff there is so friendly. i've been to all 3 burlington coat factory in the va beach area and this is my very favorite. sometimes when i need retail therapy i just go and spend hours at this one ...i have shopped at a lot of bcfs cause the prices are just so affordable and i dont have to pay the high dollar prices that you have to pay at regular retail mall. the staff is so nice that sometimes even if i dont buy anything if i give them a dollar they will go into the emp breakroom and bring me back a soda while im hanging out at the store just looking at the prices and all the wonderful inexpensive merchandise this store sells. read more
