Ugh.... where do I start? They only reason why it's getting 2 stars is cause 1 I have to in order to write a review and 2 the location. My sister did a HUGE layaway for her child, and bought pots and pans for her new home. So, we go to pick up the layaway last night. First thing you must do is pay the remaining balance which is no problem. My sister slides her debt card and pays for the layaway while someone goes to get her things from where ever they keep the stuff. When the guy comes back it's not even our layaway!! Really? What kind of stuff is that?? They had the correct receipt and the correct name stapled to someone else's belongings. Instead of flipping out and acting a fool in Burlington we asked if they could look for it. It took them an hour to come back with NOTHING!!!!! so now my sister has paid for things she didn't get. I'm so disappointed.. Came to buy some baby clothes for a gift.. Everything was disorganized, the girls and boys clothes where all mixed in together and what makes it worse it's not even organized by sizes. I needed a gift for a little 1 yr old boy. Since Burlington advertises their baby factory I thought I would be in and out in a few minutes and would find what I need BOY was I wrong.. When you have other options like Ross and Marshalls within walking distance, I am not sure why anyone would shop here. The brands are really horrible. Most of them I have never heard of. Great deals, pretty decent selection. About as organized and welcoming as a Wal-Mart or a Ross. The staff could have easily been interchanged with the two and no one would have been the wiser. The store in general is very unorganized. My husband likes their shoes, and finding a pair his size is a challenge. I understood that, but one of the supervisors made me feel like a thief with his attitude towards me. Anthony, the other supervisor, could not solve the situation. Levi's in the men section that not even an old man would wear these days. In absolute honesty, I have no idea when they receive new stock but this was my first and only trip to this location. This Burlington Coat Factory is huge and has a wide selection of everything. It's almost overwhelming and it always seems to be disorganized or getting switched around. The clothes and accessories and shoes seem to be really REALLY cheap and obscure brands. Like the kind of clothes that fall apart after being washed one time. HOWEVER, the one redeeming quality of this store is that it has a kick-butt jewelry section. OMG, just racks and racks of earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets, scarves and hats. I have found lots of really pretty pieces of bling and for not that much. I can always depend on coming in and purchasing an awesome piece of jewelry. That alone is worth the trip. Their home goods section is also pretty decent too. Service is good too. They will frequently hand out of coupons or promotional fliers and are pretty cheerful. Other than that, the disorganization, the crammed racks of clothes and the long lines at C.S. are what keep this store at 3 stars. I am a bargain shopper, so I love shopping at Burlington Coat factory, because I can always find good deals and the staff is usually friendly. However, my shopping experience last Thursday (12/16/2010) at Burlington West Covina Store was not great at all. I picked up a pair of high-heels at the clearance section and the price was marked as 19.99 on pretty blurry label, so I thought that I could bring them to the front and have them scanned the heels for me. Since this is holiday season, the line was long. At the register area, everyone thought it's one line because there is no definitely sign on how many lines should be the customers formed at the register. I had to wait for about 10 minutes to reach an open cashier -- Maria. Since the price tag was blurry, she asked Yvonne to help to scan the item. Once Yvonne looked at the shoes and gave me a look -- not a friendly one, she didn't say anything to me and grab the heels and started making phone call. I thought she was checking on the price...but I wasn't sure. However, Maria asked me if I could wait aside so she could help the next customer. I was waiting there for 15 mins, and no one said anything to me, so I just stood there like another item on the shelf. 15 mins later, another clerk came out and talked to Yvonne. While removing the price tag on the heels, She then turned to me with blank face that the shoes weren't selling for $19.99 but for $59.99. I told her the heels were in the clearance section, and 19.99 was the price, and how could they put shoes there and said the price is 3 times higher? She then replied with a very annoyed face: "We did not leave the shoes there but someone did. We have no control on how the inventory is being placed. The heels are not selling for $19.99" I then asked to talk to the store manager, and she told me that she is the store manager. I then asked for the corporate contact, so I can contact you guys instead of making a scene at the store. She gave me 609-387-7800 as the contact number. I was very upset as a customer, because I got no service before/while/after I was waiting for price check. How can a store manager tell me that she has no way to control over inventory? How can a store manager be rude like this? I felt like being baited and switched at the point. If the price was not tagged correctly, she could have nicely told me that's not done correctly, but she did not. It seemed like I am the 'lucky winner' for her to let out her frustrations at work or something. Because of this experience, I will hesitate to shop again at the location, because I will not know what's going to happen next time shopping there. I think the company has to re-train your employees what's called customer service, especially at the store manager level! read more

My go-to place for dress clothes. Before every vegas trip, mandatory to come here and pick something up. I dont really shop for casual clothes here, not much that catches that my eye. They have a wide variety of dress clothes though. They have racks on racks on racks of dress clothes here. You are bound to come across some fly clothes. This place has fallen off a bit over the past few yrs. They dont carry much peacoats anymore which is a bummer. Theres times this place can be somewhat messy. For me, I usually come here knowing what Im going to get so its not a big deal to me. read more

It's bad enough for a company's retention when a customer comes into their store to get a refund for their purchase. It's even worse when they make those customers stand in a ridiculously long line with purchasing customers, meanwhile layaway customers get front line access. If I didn't already have a bad taste in my mouth, I'm definitely not spending my money here anymore. They really need to staff this store more, I've been here a few times and the lines are always super long and the staff seemed overwhelmed. The clothes are rarely in any type of a logical order, and the store is just in a general sense of disarray. The store is kept relatively clean and the size of the store is actually pretty big. You'll find it right off the 10 freeway. You're likely to find something nice here. I actually like that it's sort of empty most of the time because I like to shop for clothes without people all around me. They carry a decent selection of items for a pretty reasonable price. Went yesterday to get a dress and the one I liked in right size had small hole next to collar and had stains in the back .. unfortunately there was only one left. I thought could take to cleaners .. etc.. I went in line and lady Jessica was the register I ended up on.. she was rude and acted as if I was annoying her by just asking her if she thought the stains would come off. Rolling of the eyes etc... And the manager when I asked for discount said 4$ off, lol, what cleaners can you send a nice suit to that would charge you less than 12$ so I thought forget it and said ok then never mind and as I was leaving the customer service drop out Jessica chick said you need to take these with you??? It's pretty amazing when you receive a gift from someone and try to take and return it for other items and a "policy" would not allow it. Not only did one assistant manager say a gift card would not happen, so did the employee. I guess this company does not want return business after being treated so poorly. Another assistant who had to go look up one of the items didn't even acknowledge that I was standing there. When he couldn't find the item on the register he called out to the other employee and said he will be back. Not one word was said to me. Customer service has always been sub par, but today was the worst. I now remember why I don't shop here. read more

I would love to rate a 0 but we have too rate something... I LOVE LOVE Burlingtons don't get me wrong. But this one is one of the Worst ever. Not only was it chaos , everything is sooo disorganized .
