Ate at Burly Burger today and all was well until one of the cooks started eating at the same time as he was cooking bacon. It's an open kitchen concept so we could see everything. He had his burger in right hand and was taking bites as he was cooking, at one point he put his half eaten burger on the cutting board where the prep salads. I gave 3 stars because the beer battered fries were awesome. Pricing is comparative to other quality burger joints, you'll get a burger, fry and a drink for around $10-$12. Seating is limited and the whole space is tight. We may return again in a few weeks when they have some more experience under the belts. read more

We have been here twice. The people are friendly, it's a pretty neat decorated place in a "Paul Bunyun" style. Burgers... AMAZING! I've had the teriyaki burger both times I've been here. It's amazing. My friend had the Mr. T burger the other day with pastrami on it and he was very impressed. Fries... AMAZING! I love the battered fries. My wife had the sweet potato fries and I kept switching back and forth between them, they were great. Service... VERY GOOD! If you are looking for a quick in and out type fast food, this is not your place. They cook everything fresh. And the taste represent it very well. All of my food has been fresh, hot, and very tasty. This place is the real deal. I was skeptical that South Weber would truly have a burger place that could rival any other place in Utah, but I'll tell you what - their burgers could beat out Lucky 13. Toppings were fresh and super premium quality. Meat was perfectly cooked. Buns were delicious and fresh. We came and the line was out the door, but they still had our food to us hot and fresh in no time. The fries were incredible. Sweet potato fries were also tasty. This is one of my favorite burger places on Utah! It's delicious, local and so unique! I recommend this place to everyone. We got the Farley burger with buffalo strips on the burger and the buffalo bill, a buffalo chicken sandwich that is to die for. The only bad thing is we ordered shakes to go and we waited 20 minutes and then they gave us melted shakes... as if they had been sitting there for awhile.. kinda odd and annoying, as I think they could've done better with that aspect, especially when we asked for them to go, causing them to melt all over us in the car. read more

Holy Moly! I just had my mind blown, great burgers, the best fries, all for a reasonable price? Crazy! I'll start with the service, the line was short and moved fast and the cashier was so nice and accommodating to our modifications. I got The Rock burger and added bacon. I was amazed by how delicious just the bun itself was, and the teriyaki glaze with the pineapple was delicious. My favorite part was the battered fries though, they were crispy without being burnt and perfectly seasoned. Do not forget to get these!! Fries where good but that's where the to go meal went south. When ordering menu looks good but as I don't do cheese . Lactose and just general distaste for it. Ordered the Farley which states burger with Buffalo chicken strips on top. Topped with blue cheese dressing . So I conveniently asked for no blue cheese or anything related to cheese. Also says all burgers come with burly sauce a Mayo-ketchup concoction of theirs for fry sauce . But instead burger came mayo on bun then covered in blue cheese dressing. Second burger covered in blue cheese had to use napkins to clean off. Glad I had some cause there was none to be had in the to go bag. Put your orthopedic nurse's shoes on before you come to Burly Burger because this is one popular burger stand. True, I came on a Saturday night which is also known as date night to those less socially challenged. But still and all, the wait times after ordering pushed 30 minutes. I don't fault them for being popular or for offering up a tasty burger, just know before you go. I ordered the classic with cheese (one of the free add ons), fries and a shake in lieu of a drink because they do that thing with the shakes where there's about 30% more shake sticking out of the top of the cup...and they had an intriguing flavor I wanted to try - bourbon caramel. I should stop falling for that trick though. I love a good shake but a little goes a long way with me and there was no way I was going to finish it and my meal. The shake was good but not amazing and if they had a smaller size I would've opted for it. But for $3.99 it wasn't a bad deal. The fries are not overly seasoned, but they're battered and have a nice flavor. I tried some with the fry sauce but preferred them without it. The hamburger stood out for its flavor and tender beef. But the brioche bun was a little hard and lacked flavor. Another thing I noticed is the toppings are on the bottom of the burger and this is something that frustrates me because when you pick up a burger your thumbs hold it from the bottom which is less stable, so the lettuce and tomato tend to fall out. When the toppings are on top, you have all your other fingers to stabilize the top of the burger and keep them in. Science. But this was a pretty good burger. It tasted fresh and the beef wasn't charred to a cinder. It comes just slightly pink, which shows they respect the meat and have confidence in their preparation. I kept talking to my friends so much about how I want to go to Burly's on my own time that they bought me a gift card for Christmas. I made it up there and used my gift card. It was sooo good! I had The Duke Burger, Fries and mozzarella cheese stick. It's a burger and fries but it was as tasty as I had hoped. I loved the fries. I really get tired of crappy fries. How hard is it to mess up French fries? I don't know, but chili's does it and a few others but Burly's did them up right! The cheese sticks were exactly what I was looking for in a cheese stick. It was kind of the person who replied to offer to comp my food on the next visit, but I generally don't accept that kind of thing. The offer, though, I find heartening, as to me, it amplifies caring and pride and places like that I will always find a way to make a return visit. I still don't quite think I have a handle on this place, though, as it still strikes me that there are a few details that aren't quite smoothed out all the way. This, it should be noted, won't stop me from returning. For this visit, I went with a different topping (bacon, if I'm remembering right) and that was definitely the better way to go. I don't recall which side I wound up getting, but they were out of the one I wanted and I'm trying really hard to avoid fries when possible. Burger was quite a bit better this go around, patty had excellent flavor and the bacon was quite nice as well. The ratio of sauces and additions were near-flawless. The side that I don't now recall was memorable only in that it was somewhat a downturn from the previous visit. But, I don't come to a burger place for sides, I come for the burger and I had no complaints at all on that token. If you're a fan of burgers, this place has to be on the hit list. read more

AWESOME! I've experienced a lot of craft burger places in my travels but today, as we were departing Salt Lake City, we decided to stop just outside of town to find a place to eat. Because of Covid, the Uintah/Weber area appeared to have reverted back to take out or delivery only. We decided on Burly Burgers because of its proximity to I-84 and man, am I glad we did! We got The Farley (namesake is my all-time favorite comedic actor) and The Swanson. Also had the fries and a Reese's milkshake (not a shake, think more like Blizzard). Everything was phenomenal! We got some extra Burly sauce and it was awesome, too. Most importantly to me, the service was top-notch and they had our order ready in about 5 -7 minutes. Well done, Burly Burger! I'd heard a lot of hype so we finally gave it a go. The staff was friendly, even replaced our cup when we a accidentally dropped ours. We were able to place our order in a timely matter and receive our food in a decent time frame. I ordered the Buffalo Bill which is a buffalo chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pepper jack cheese. The sandwich was good, however my chicken was cold. We dined in, but it wasn't worth it to me to go complain. The fries were good, and the fry sauce was tasty. My biggest complaints being the cold food, and all of our condiments being completely empty on our table so we had to keep asking for different sauces. I understand the being busy completely, but they should definitely have someone check the dining area frequently to ensure it is cleaned and stocked. We also were low on napkins which was a bit annoying, but we just washed our hands in the bathroom when we left so we didn't leave a big sticky mess.
