We walked into Burly Burger at 8:20 on a Saturday night, 40 minutes before their scheduled closing time. One party was ahead of us and two groups were seated. As we walked up to order, the line behind us began to grow and a steady stream of about 25 people came through the door until their closing time. The cashier told us that it had been busy like that all day. Based on people's feet doing the talking, I was looking forward to a great burger. I ordered "The Duke", which was a patty topped with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion rings, bbq sauce and their burly sauce. I made it a combo with their battered fries and an Oreo shake. My dining partner ordered "The Belushi", which was a beef and Italian sausage patty topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella sticks, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and mayonnaise. My shake arrived to the table first and the cup was overflowing with a peak of Oreo goodness. The shake was rich and thick and perfect to be spooned out of the cup. The only issue was that if you wanted to drink it like a shake, you couldn't. They only have very thin straws, making it impossible to suck up anything, particularly the large pieces of Oreos. Our burgers and fries hit the table shortly after the shake. There was a perfect medium well cook on the burger for me and it was really good. The crunch from the onion rings was perfect. The belushi was presented with cheese oozing out of the mozzarella sticks and that burger was devoured as well. The fries were a nice accompaniment to the burger. -1 star for the bun as it seemed like an afterthought. It was soft on top but it tasted stale. It needed some love - butter, heat, or perhaps both - to match the beef. The top bun was too large for the patty and the bun overwhelmed my duke burger. I ended up eating mine bunless. Also, it was impossible to drink the shake with their thin straws. They need some larger straws to sip the thick shakes with mixed in toppings. Overall, this place is excellent. The prices are very good and the customer service - even when they were busy just before closing - was outstanding. The employees were walking around checking on people and bringing things to the table with greet attitudes. I would definitely put this on my return list on my next visit to town! read more

Whoever opened this place is genius . Burly Burger has HUGE BURGERS . Prepare to get messy . I tried the Duke it came with cheddar cheese, onion rings, bacon, fry sauce and BBQ sauce.  So delicious . My son had the The Paul Bunyan it came with a 100% beef frank, cheddar cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and burly sauce.  Yum yum . . . They were so big and full of flavor . I love the burn stamp of their logo on top. We shared a milkshake, they are big also & super thick so good. I've heard the cheese curds are really good and I would of ordered them but I was too stuffed .lol . I will next time. They also sell their own fry sauce and Merch  If you would like a souvenir. Now let's talk about the  "The Brigham" It's 47.00 and  Legend says that 10 of Brigham Young's wives  were named Patty. My family loves this place! When my cousins come to visit this is always where they want to go. The restaurant is a little small, so sometimes seating is a challenge but the food is just so good. Up in the area playing golf and was looking for a place for lunch when this spot showed up on the list. It's in an area that really doesn't have much (exit off 89 near Maverik and little caesar's but nothing much else around). We came at just the right time as it got packed after we were seated and eating. It is a place your order take a seat and food is delivered to you type of restaurant. The burgers all have great names and some are named after celebs/famous characters. There are a few chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides if burgers are not your thing. I loved the big chalkboard sign on the wall with the fun sayings all over it. There aren't that many tables so you may have to time your arrival to ensure seats when your food is ready. I ordered chicken tender side and mozzarella sticks. The sticks were smaller but thicker and the cheese was warm and gooey. The breading was not too heavy and the marinara sauce was good. The chicken was super hot and well seasoned. I had them with some ranch and the dip was rich and creamy. Hubby got the Swanson and the egg was cooked just right so it oozed as you bit into it. The bacon was crispy on the burger and the toppings made for a great combo. The bun was buttery and toasted and the burger was big enough to call for him to cut it in half to manage eating it. He got the burger as a combo with sweet potato fries and they were good but could have been a little bit crisper. Friend with us ordered the Mr. T per the recommendation of the cashier he thoroughly enjoyed and devoured the whole sandwich. They apparently have a Brigham burger with 10 patties and it costs 47 bux but is on the house if you can pass the challenge (whole burger with all toppings plus a large fries and large shake) and you get your name on the board. No one attempted this while we were there, I would just be curious to see just how much food that is and how anyone can eat it all. The food was pretty good for a random find in the middle of nowhere, the staff was friendly, and the wait was not that long considering it's all made when you order. A great little find and it was packed on our way out so locals know about it and you should definitely stop in to check it out. read more

It claims 1/3 pound but looks smaller than 1/4 pound. Maybe they need to check the scales in the back? The burger had great "taste". But the meat was a small part of the taste. It's a shame because of they double the meat size it would be a 5 star review EASY!! Also, the peanut butter cup shake only had peanut butter cups sprinkled on top and not really in the shake at all. The tables were dirty and at first, the customers cleaning their own tables out of need. I've revisited a few times and really do like the food here. The burgers are consistently good, the options and toppings are great and the fries are fantastic as well. I haven't had a single menu item here that I wouldn't order again and the place seems to hop pretty well on the weekend evenings. This last visit we ordered a kid's burger combo. Good, meant for the littler kids. Our boy, being 8, is between tiny burgers and Burly burgers. That's our issue, not the restaurant's. We ended up ordering a side of chicken fingers and they worked to fill the gap. I also love that the "tip shaming" at the register has ended. I love to tip but staring you in the eye at the register isn't the best place for that. Next quest at Burly will be the shakes. They look fantastic! read more

The second time I went back my burger was raw in the middle to the point I couldn't eat it. It grossed me out. I came up to Ogden to play several of the disc golf courses in the area and was starving for a burger after finishing the first 27 holes. Burly Burger had the best reviews in the area, so we stopped by. The menu has plenty of different burgers, many of which look pretty good. I went with the Farley, for the buffalo chicken strips on it. Adding fries and a drink to it, the meal costs a little over $15. Definitely a pricey meal, but about in line with what you can expect from this style of burger place. Due to Covid-19 they had us wait in our car after ordering and were supposed to text us when it was done. A couple cars that had came after us had left, so we went and asked for it. It had been ready and was sitting there waiting. We picked it up and took it to our car to eat. The Farley was one of the messiest burgers I've had in recent memory. The buffalo sauce was all over. I'm thankful that I recently shaved off my beard, because this would have been stuck in there for days. It was a delicious mess. The battered fries were good, and I somehow missed that they can be seasoned. Next time I'll try the spicy seasoning on those. They have a Coke freestyle machine, which I always appreciate. My daughter had heard her co-workers talk about this place, so we were up visiting her and took her here. There was a steady stream into the restaurant (a good sign). My daughter and I shared the Duke hamburger. WOW. It was tasty. However, what left me wishing I lived closer to this place was the raspberry shake we ate. Oh my! I had the Fat Connie minus cheese and Mayo: chicken is still moist with a subtle char and the Green chili is a perfect complement with the momentary sweetness and mild heat. Lettuce and tomato at the right crispness and the Bun is simple, as it should be to allow the other flavors to star. Order the fried Cheese curds!!! They are life (or more accurately, death). I never knew I could love beehive cheese more than this... The light, airy battering equals a subtle crisp envelope similar to a great tempura but still a completely different taste and texture. The salt of the cheese is such a great compliment to being fried and the beehive curd is dry enough to stay together not melt under the heat. It is my absolute favorite thing...
