I'm going to give them this..the BBQ was good, not great and I've been around the country and tasted quite a bit. I stopped by for lunch, the menu they have is very unorganized. The ordering process is very clumsy and the selection is also very much catered to the restaurant and not the customer. They offer no platters, you choose one meat (average 6-10.00) add a side (2-3.00) and the portions are very small unless you "upgrade" to a larger side. The 20.00 "sampler" which is what I chose that comes with ribs, choice of a sandwich and sausage or chicken really quite small for a 22.00 "meal" that doesn't include a side. Everyone has their way of running a business but having some sort of upsell combo meal with a side or two meats would be idea that would be a hit, even at 20.00 with sides and a drink...I can't say I would make a trip back for this place but I think they have a following and everyone was very friendly it's just a strange way of ordering, the menu is lacking diversity an im sure the owners are fine with that but over time I think this could hurt their business with families or people looking for a "lunch or dinner" experience and not just meat. read more

Let had the Ribs, Pulled Pork, Jalapeño Pepper Brat and grilled potatoes for my side. Outstanding is all I can say. Was told by locals how good this place was, now I will speak for myself. We enjoyed our visit to Burn Co BBQ. Our arrival was at the end of the lunch rush...about 2:50 pm, unaware that they closed at 3:00pm to get ready for dinner reopening at 5:30pm. We were enthusiastically greeted and invited in. Our server made thoughtful recommendations and let us sample a side dish before choosing. We had a beef brisket and a pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and coleslaw. Everything was excellent. We tried several other sausages, smoked bologna and chicken...all fantastic! Even better than the food was the warm hospitality and friendliness of staff. We enjoyed talking to the guys behind the butcher case and had a terrific visit with Adam Myer, owner. Take your family, friends and anyone you want to impress to Burn Co. BBQ. There is also a wonderful collection of t-shirts and other memorabilia that you will want for your own. Ribs had good flavor. My only complaint is that the outer texture was really soft like they were kept in a steamer. Baked beans were pretty good....just a little too smokey. The grilled potato salad was a nice departure from the usual. I'd definitely come back. read more

1 star for the lady at the counter being very rude but 3 for the food. I asked for moist/fatty brisket in my order and she told me I'll get whatever they give me. I asked her politely to give me moist brisket not lean and she said...I told you you will get whatever the meat cutter gives you and very rude about it! I canceled the brisket and ordered the ribs, chicken and the "fatty", the meats were kind of dry but the store bought bbq sauce they offer helped me eat the meats. read more

It's good. Not great. The ribs were tender but no pink smoke rings just seemed off to me. I was handed the fatty burnt end off a brisket they just pulled out. Now that was amazing. I'm giving it a two star because it is not worth the hype! I may have had a different review if I could've had the ribs, because the platter was what we wanted. Even though we came a couple hours early, they were sold out of the ribs and the mac & cheese. The brisket was run-of-the-mill, nothing special, and dry. My husband's pulled pork was good but only average, nothing special. They only had one barbecue sauce, No spicy option available, and definitely not like some of the other barbecue I've had. I haven't felt the need to write too many reviews over the years unless I'm terribly disappointed, or exquisitely overwhelmed in a positive way. I am originally from Tulsa and was visiting my brother. Whilst in town, my husband wanted some good barbecue, since he's from Texas. Burn Co. was recommended to me by a close friend, so we felt the need to check it out. Upon arrival, the smell of the smoked meats were indeed intoxicating, as was the negative stench that came from the girl taking orders behind the counter. She yelled at us and made us feel like complete fools for not knowing the menu verbatim. Just a side note, there was no-one else behind us, so no need to rush. Listen, I work in the service industry myself as does my husband all of our lives, and I understand about having a bad day, but this was next level. I don't think I've ever been treated so poorly by anyone, and I take the city bus in Chicago!!! This girl, who had misleading pigtails and was wearing a beanie, is the worst representation of the face of any restaurant. Having seen and endured this as my initial introduction to the restaurant, I had a bad taste in my mouth from the word go. I was super excited to have some good barbecue, but all those expectations were killed once we had to converse with this particular employee. As far as the ambiance, it was pretty cool. Although there were very condescending notes to guest hanging all over the place as if to say, "hey stupid"! Now I'm not saying each and every employee acted in the same manner, the others were honestly either very friendly or quite neutral. I ate here a few times when they first started out of 11th and Harvard by TU and it was always wonderful and reasonably priced. DIFFERENT story now...We went to the Riverwalk location for dinner on a Sunday at about 7 pm. They only had baby back ribs and chicken legs and coleslaw. That was ok, as we wanted ribs. Ordered one 4 rib dinner and one 4 rib and 2 chicken leg dinner. NOTE....DINNERS DO NOT INCLUDE ANY SIDES, BREAD, DRINK....nothing but the meat. So, my tiny 4 baby rib dinner was $13 ! The rib/chicken dinner was $15. The 4 ribs probably equaled about 1 ounce of eatable meat and they were dry and overcooked. We ordered coleslaw at $2.00 each....it was literally wet shredded cabbage.....wet with water...nothing else. TERRIBLY disappointed....Will not return. To make matters worse, I did talk to a manager and he could not have cared less about our disappointments. All he had to say, was, "Oh, well." read more

Wife and made a visit last Friday for lunch. We both had eaten at the original location the 1st year they were open and loved it but we hadn't been back since then. Well the riverwalk location continues the tradition of mouthwatering smoked meets. My wife got brisket, I ordered the "small" fatty with the beans and potato salad. All delicious. Hands down the best BBQ in Tulsa! I fell in love with Burn Co before they had a Jenks location but only went about 3 times because of their limited hours, long line, and running out of food. I'm glad to say that the quality at this Jenks location is identical and you don't have to deal with a 45 minute line wrapped around the building AND they are open during dinner hours! Too much hype and not enough flavor. The vibe in burn co makes you think this would be the type of local joint that is featured on a TV show. But the food just isn't that great, nor is the staff. You can get better service and much better food down the road at Billy Sims or even by going to RibCrib. For a local bbq joint Burn Co is a let down. read more

I went into Burnco to get a gift certificate as a Christmas gift. There were two lines so I picked one not knowing it was the to-go order line. The lady at the register announced it was a to go line. So I moved into the other line. When her line emptied I started walking over to see if I could quickly get a gift certificate. She announced she could help the next person in line. I ask if I could get a gift certificate. Instead of being served I was met with a horrible attitude! Heavy sighing and a complete lack of willingness to help. A GC is guaranteed money and takes no time at all to tender. It is not an inconvenience like the lady at the register was making it out to be. If this wasn't one of my brother-in-law's favorite places to eat I would have left. I don't care how amazing your BBQ is, if your customer service is like this I have no reason to eat at your establishment. read more

Very, very disappointed after reading reviews about this place. Food was just barely passable. Certainly did not warrant the prices they charge. Filthiest restaurant ever. Food all over the floors, under and on top of several tables we tried to sit at until founding one that was not as dirty. But still, far from clean. And, as if before mentioned sub-par things were not bad enough, approximately 1/4 of menu items were "sold out". In what universe does a supposed "great" (and I use the term loosely) restaurant not offer all items on the menu??? And in conclusion, staff was rude and definitely not accommodating. We will absolutely never eat there again and plan to tell other friends that eat out at least 4-5 times a week like we do. read more

The ribs are great and it's one of the best places for BBQ in Tulsa. They gave me a rib while I waited in the longest line ever one Friday evening and it changed my life forever. Okay not really, but it was a great perk while standing in the freezing cold. Who doesn't love free line ribs?? My only compliant is I can't go there often due to the massive amounts of food provided and my inability to stop eating it. The sides could use some work in my opinion because they aren't great, or is it that the meat is so fantastic that it overshadows the sides and steals the show? For starters the staff were INSANELY rude. Coupled with rude, makeshift cardboard signs all over the place with phrases like "DO NOT help yourself, you've been WARNED". This is no way to run a business! If you don't want customers getting straws or lids, put them behind a counter, don't tape a cardboard sign to them. As for the food, subpar at best. The sausages were disgusting (jalapeño cheddar and pork& venison) and undercooked in my opinion. (The cheddar was cold inside of the jalapeño cheddar sausage) the chopped brisket was okay but had little flavor and a ton of fat. The ribs had NO FLAVOR at all. I never add bbq sauce to my bbq but I felt obligated so it would at least taste like something rather than nothing. I definitely would not recommend! Drove from Guthrie and would NEVER come back.
